- A weekend of riding in Seoul.
In light of the ongoing genocide, the Gaza Sunbirds para-cycling team has reverted all its resources to providing community-led aid to Gaza. To date, their athletes and staff have distributed over $45,000 USD worth of aid.

Some notes I found useful from my sister-in-law on what to consider when donating to an NGO. A non-exhaustive list that I found useful:
Are they on the ground delivering support? Some NGOs utilise their strong brand names to receive donations and regrant to smaller organisations on the ground.
Do they have access to the affected community?
Better yet, are they part of the community? Being community-led reduces the risk of wasteful services.
Do they have an established history of working in the area? What works in one country, doesn't always work in another.
What services or items are they providing? Cash assistance, sanitary items, toys for children are important items alongside food, medical support and women and children protection services.
Are they providing duplicative services?
Will the donation go to this current crisis or be diverted to another one? Some NGOs run emergency funds. Once the donation target has been reached. Any additional donations may be used for other emergencies.

Your channel is my absolute favourite. Thank you for using it for speaking up for Palestine 🙏🍉
Thank you!
I was already a fan, but hearing your message at the end on Gaza brought tears to my eyes. Was not expecting that at all. Really appreciate this channel.
Thank you
Much love and respect for using your platform and space to talk about Palestine, every voice matters
🍉
Awesome video ❤ thank you for highlighting Palestine 🇵🇸
Glad you liked it!
Loved this one. Your content is excellent and inspiring always and adding your support for Palestine is the cherry on top. Thanks for all you do!
Thank you!
Thank you for featuring my bike. Big respect for the last part and to encourage support.
Thank you! We’ll ride again.
The message at the end - thank you.
🙏
A new subscriber here. Straight up one of my new favorite channels, and thank you for speaking up for Palestine! 🇵🇸🍉 Greetings from Pittsburgh.
Thank you
Your channel always helps me whenever I'm feeling down, especially given the state of the world in Gaza, Sudan, DRC, and hearing you speak up about what's happening in Gaza at the very end made me really emotional. Thank you for speaking up and bringing light to the world, even in the darkest of places.
Thank you!
I adore your videos, I could listen to you talking about bikes whole day! Thank you for the message at the end.
Thank you!
Thank you for uplifting Gaza Sunbirds and talking about Palestine, we do a monthly ride for Gaza Sunbirds in my city.
That’s great. Thank you 🙏
The race was so wholesome and cute! Cool to see you using your platform to speak up for Palestine too! I’m a new subscriber but been looking back through some of your videos and really enjoying them!
Thank you!
First RUclips comment woohoo! Big fan. Look forward to your vids weekly. Thank you so much for speaking up at the tail end of this. Big respect. Happy riding ✌🏾
Thanks for watching!
I heard you speaking from your heart. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us.
💚
"Champion of Saturday" t-shirt for the race winner? Another great video, and thank you for discussing Gaza.
Haha nice idea
I've been more mindful and grateful for my bike commute on my surly out here in nyc since watching your videos. Appreciate all the work you're putting into these.
Great to hear!
Thank you for your words and for speaking up
Thank you
Hello again from SF. Another great video. Your last few video minutes were especially thought provoking. In another video you shared your love for the "Cheers" theme. Your video at the end reminded me of another great theme song. "Get together" by the Youngbloods,1967. It was a popular song in the states during the Vietnam era. Refrain "come on people now, smile on your brother, everybody get together, try to love one another right now". I believe evil and darkness are always a force. We must combat it with peace, in our thoughts and actions everyday. Peace ✌
Thanks so much!
Awestruck in the most positive way possible. Thank you for speaking up on what you believe in.
Thank you!
New subscriber as of a week or so ago. My wife and I look forward to watching these after putting our daughter down for bed. Very calming end to the evening. Appreciate it.
That’s so sweet. Thank you
Thank you for your content! It's inspiring me to customise my bike! And thank you for speaking about the genocide during a time when so many people with platforms are saying nothing for fear of losing followers!
Thank you 🍉
Going to study at KU this fall semester and your channel has made me so excited. I was already hyped to experience good urbanism and public transit (at least compared to where i live in the US) but to see you go around on your bike enjoying the little things in seoul makes me want to get a nice bike myself myself.
Hope you enjoy your time here. Great public transport. Ride carefully!
The race was one of my favorite portions if the vid. Also, props for that coffee pour at 14:58
Thanks!
Love these videos and your whole vibe. Gaza mention was great too - we all need to use the platforms we have to confront the horrors.
Thank you!
Thanks for another great video, and thanks even more for your message at the end. Me and my friends look forward to your videos every week, grateful to have come across your channel! Greetings from Stockholm, Sweden🇸🇪🚲
Awesome, thank you!
You're so rad man, I love all the cool local hip places you've found around you! I gotta go to more cool local events like that pop up sale and find a cool bike cafe to hang out at.
Thanks so much!
I watch videos like yours, and many others, for a snapshot into the on-the-ground perspective of other places in the world, that I'll probably never visit. I search for bike riding ones because even on motorcycles, the perspective and mindset is different. Laid back cruising on back streets and bike paths around new places is fascinating. I like the little coffee shops, foods, and hidden views that many other people miss, or just won't see. It's really something. I watched all your videos in order, and will keep watching.
I'm currently building up a 1986 Miyata 710. I'm converting from 2x6 to 1x9. Drop bars to flat. Down tube shifters to indexed. I've done thousands of miles on it in stock-ish form, so this major overhaul will really be something. I'm primarily a motorcycle mechanic, so learning bicycles is new to me.
That sounds like a fun overhaul. Working on a bike is probably a breeze after motorbikes.
I like to watch similar videos of places I’ll never visit. My favourite channel is Bald and Bankrupt who visits places in the depths of the former Soviet Union that I know I’ll never go to.
Another absolute banger, filmed nice and such a good view into the day to day. I miss Seoul!
Thank you 🙌
beautiful, respectful & considerate, thank you.
Thank you kindly!
I love your channel and your dedication to cycling and bikes. It is such a motivating and always wants me to grab my bike immediately. Also I love your filming style, the quality is great, the shots are nice but not all professional which I think is amazing since every other youtube channel feels like they have a full movie crew behind the camera and on the editing stations. Please keep it going how it is. I love the vibes! I sometimes have the feeling that you are not truly happy or are lacking motivation. But maybe thats just you personality which is absolutely fine for me and if thats so, please dont change! Keep it up!
Thanks for watching. It’s just me happily filming my bike rides 🚲
@@probablyriding keep that going. so awesome. amazing vibes..
probably best (and sober) yt bike content, greetings from germany mate
Thank you!
great video as usual, big fan from Canada
Thank you!
Lovely clean bowl club. Sometimes Korean people think me as a poor guy when I make a clean bowl. I don't like it. I've just always wanted to be respectful for food that once it was a living life and sacrificed for my life. I like to ride the bike, but it's too cold to get outside. This is a great channel with great videos. Thank you so much.
It's good to be respectful of the food we eat.
That race was hilarious. Great video!
I’ll win next time.
"Do you believe in destiny, i don't really, I'm just addicted to buying handlebars" 😂❤💯
Also really appreciate you saying something about the genocide. It literally brought tears to my eyes😢
Thank you!
I really enjoy your videos, keep at it. Good call with the albatross bars, I have them on 3 of my 6 bikes and love them.
Glad you like them! Albatross bars are very nice.
Lovely job, Marcus. I appreciate what you've done.
Thank you!
amazing vid once again, thank you for speaking up on an important issue! ❤
Always!
Thankyou for posting 😊 food for thought !
Thank you
The Romulus is a lovely looking bike…probably my favourite of your current portfolio 😊
It’s definitely the prettiest! Very nice to ride too.
Thank you for another great video and for sharing your ❤at the end on Gaza!
Thank you 🙏
I came a gross your channel and I do love the relax atmospher. I also noticed you visit Japan.
As a big bicycle fan I ride as much as I can in the city I live (Nagoya)
My next bicyle (currently ordering) will be the Omnium mini max. I already look forward to ride this.
If you ever be around Nagoya just drop me a message.
Awesome! Is the Omnium from Circles? I'd love to visit there. I tried the Omnium when I was in Copenhagen Such a great bike.
Yes from circles, it is a lovely shop. Great parts. There is another shop in Nagoya from the same owner called Culture Club which sells used parts.
I can't wait to get the omnium. Ideaal for shopping and bbq.
What a wonderful frame set I want one definitely
I’m excited build and then ride it!
Very sobering- thank you
Thanks for listening
Thank you for sharing your insights! I was looking to make a donation but was unsure if the money would actually go to the cause!
Thank you. Have a look around and you might find a charity that you would like to donate to
Big respect for your thoughts of whats going on at gaza… such a ridiculous that the whole world cant stop the genocide
Thank you
Classics 90s steel! I loved those GTs. Very interested in what you will build up your Susie. I also admire your collections of Rivs. I just can’t believe the diversity of frames you see in Seoul.
Thanks so much! I've seen so many cool bikes since HBC cafe opened. Otherwise, you don't see that many elsewhere.
Great guy, doin it right. 🚲
Thank you!
Respect! Thank you for doing this.
Thank you!
Wow, I'm on your video on this date. Specially on Jamsoo-kyo(잠수교) riding on my black Surly LHT on my way to camping.
Actually i wanted to say hello to you but you passed by me so fast.
Hope to see you on the road someday. Nice to meet you on the day.
I should have stopped to talk but I’m shy haha. Hope you had a good camping trip.
Hi just discovered your channel I'm really enjoying your videos very relaxing and inspirational best wishes from a fellow cyclist keep up the wonderful work 😊
Thanks so much! 😊
the final part of the video is the best. thanks
Thank you 🇵🇸
Love the cafe rider line, you’re a natural. Love the tattoos
🚲☕️
As I crunch hard to get through our deadlines and last minute emergencies. This vid is my little break! Thanks again man!
Happy to help!
Been a new fan of the channel, now a bigger one since you took that minute talking about Palestine. Nobody's free until everybody's free 🍉
Thank you
Think I’ll go for a quick ride after this. Thank you for the videos
Yes! 🚲
Luv rivendell bikes and great ending. you're doing what you can.
reminds me of certain events we learned about in school back in the uk - you know what i mean.
Thank you 🙏
@@probablyriding PS. definitely need more detailed bike checks of your friends in Korea.
This video...insane! Anther wonderful video. I peep the Salahe's! Good taste!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I have that GT frame! (Possibly from a different year). Repainted green and adapted to single speed & disc brakes. It's a joy to ride. Retro mountainbikes are having a bit of a moment in cycling culture it seems, I've seen a lot of them recently (or is it just the algorithms?) -- They are great fun for upright city riding with a short BMX stem and comfortable handlebars. I dare say they make for better chill/allrounder bikes now than they ever did mountain bikes (due to the lack fo suspension, but solid build, fun wheel size, external cables and standard specs).
Sounds like a sweet bike. They’re definitely better commuters than mountain bikes and it’s nice to see them going through a renaissance. Can’t see current new bikes being around in 30 years!
Have been loving diving into your videos. Would be interested in a video on your history moving to Korea and life outside of biking if you're happy to share (unless I've missed the video already!) :)
Lots a people have requested that. Perhaps in the future. Thanks for watching!
Good on you for chatting about Palestine. I don't get why it's so hard for more of us to talk about. We don't always need perfectly formed opinions or to be qualified experts to speak our mind; just sharing resources and discuss openly amongst ourselves is a start.
Thanks. It’s so clear in my head. Harder to put in to words.
I'm even more impressed now. Thanks and keep them coming
Thank you!
A great video as always, they make my days better :)
Glad you like them!
Extremely important message at the end. Thanks.
Always!
Today I was watching this guy biking around Japan for a cause, I thought to myself why not bike around for Palestine. Then I stumbled upon your channel and really enjoyed the style but I always had this afterthought: "yeah ok it’s cool but what about what’s happening in Palestine", so I was gladly surprised when I read the caption and you talking about it.
Cheers from a biker from Paris, France.
Thank you 🇵🇸
I would love to have some 'Clean Bowl Club' stickers 😁
Deal!
I"ve been running the Panaracer Driver Pro tires in 2.4 size on my Wombat (couple vids in profile). Basically the same tire as the Simworks Super Yummy's, but in 2.4 size. They work well and can be run tubeless.
Thanks for the recommendation. I love my parader gravelkings. Will check out these wider tires.
Tell us about that yellow hat you're wearing? Also, kudos for the message on Gaza. I donated.
It’s from hitch. I have some probably riding versions coming soon.
I failed to buy the albatross(?). But made to buy a baby bosco bar. Now waiting its domestic delivery process. Hope it might fit to my brompton. Thanks for inspiring me.
Nice! Hope they fit.
I really like the Teravail Sparwoods. I’m a tire addict, always swapping.. and these are a current fave on my v1 Evasion. Thank you for making your voice heard on Gaza 🇵🇸
I’ll add them to the list ✅. Thank you
Thank you for these videos. Just subscribed and donated to Gaza Sunbirds
Awesome, thank you!
wanted to comment and say thanks for talking about palestine - i made a whole-ass video about synthtube’s silence on palestine on my non-burner account and it can definitely feel pretty lonely being someone speaking out about it, especially on a channel that’s “not supposed to be about politics”, but it’s important and necessary and i’m an even bigger fan of this channel now than i was before i heard your words on it! free free palestine 🍉🍉🍉
Thank you 🙏
Tires - Check out the Teravail Ehline 29 x2.5. They roll well and are really plush. I had them on a Surly Ogre and loved them.
Thanks. They are pretty high up the list too!
Thank you for speaking up for Palestine 👍
🇵🇸
Love your videos :) What camera are you using? Have a great day!
Hi. Thank you. I use this www.insta360.com/sal/go-3?INRL3L3 and an iPhone 14 Pro
Lovely vid
Thank you!
another perfect video! :)
Yay, thank you!
You have a gift...
Thank you 🙏
I've binged every vid in order in the past week. Absolutely enjoyed every one. So relaxing. Seeing a beautiful city/country with an actual infrastructure and means to navigate around short or far boggles my brain in frustration. But it makes sense when you see what the American tax dollar is actually used for 🍉
Thank you so much!
wow, 11:15 u just passed my neighborhood where i'm probably riding. hope to see u~
Keep an eye out 👀
Already a fav channel, thank you for speaking up for Palestine 🍉
Thank you 🍉
For now I also have four bikes, a 1991 GT Outpost, a Norco Bush Pilot 90s, I don't know the year, a 1984 Schwiin High Sierra and a 1983 Trek 850.
Nice stable
Hey man, another amazing video. Thanks for all the bike checks. Appreciate the message at the end too.
Thanks!
Can you upload a YTshorts on how to use the frame pump?
I can do a reel sometime but it just work the same as any other pump but it fits in the frame
This is what RUclips is all about for me. Thanks for sharing.
Glad to hear it!
Also living in Korea, where do you pick up your Rivendell Bike(s)? craigslist? karrot? Found your channel through my uncle
Some from Riv. A couple used
From USA. Rookey Bike has them occasionally
Nalgene bottles, the way forward. Was that a cage to fit a 48oz Nalgene sized bottle on the frame builders bike? I’m on the lookout.
It's a Velo Orange Mojave cage. I have one too. Definitely recommend.
Wonderful video. Free Palestine.
🇵🇸
Love the city scenes of cycling in Seoul! You've given me lots of inspo for my bike build. If you don't mind me asking, where is the yellow mesh sided hat from? Free palestine!
It’s from Hitch Official in Seoul. Currently making some Probably Riding versions of that at in olive and charcoal!
Thank you for speaking up about Palestine.
🍉
What rear hub did you use? Sounds sweet.
White industries mi5
What bars do you use on your Atlantis?
Hi
They are Rivendell Billie Bars. I have a similar set up with a 120mm stem. They are very comfortable and the forward grip in the bends is good when you're rattling along.
Yes, Billie bars. I have 130mm stem. Great bars.
on the subject of bars - what are you riding in this vid? they look so nice.
Nitto Billie Bars
🎆🎆🎆🎆
🎆
What’s the rear basket / rack setup at 14:30? Thanks!
Nitto erlen rack with a half wald basket strapped to it with voile straps
@@probablyriding nice-thanks! Do you find it to be sturdy?
What's the frame pump you have on your Romulus at the end?
It’s a vintage silca pump that came with the bike.
@@probablyriding Neat, thanks! Also, thanks for the wonderful&relaxing videos! My partner and I love to watch these together after a long week
omg those lugs 🔥
Lugzzzzzz 😍
Get some Bontragers for your tires.
The Panaracer Gravelkings are my favourites.
Loved this bikes, coffee, racing your partner and most of all speaking up for Palestine 🇵🇸 free the people from the genocide 🙌✊
Thank you!
I really admire Seoul as a cycling advocate. I live in Singapore and don't get me wrong, the cycling infrastructure here is excellent but the availability of quality (non-road) bikes is very limited. I even had to get my mamachari (i.e. the bike I don't really care about which I park outside the train station while I'm at work) secondhand off a Japanese guy because the ones sold here are so poorly-made, they start breaking after 2 months (not exaggerating). The Japanese mamachari is 9 years old and still running smoothly. Would really love me a nice Rivendell or Crust some day if I had the shipping budget.
Oh and really appreciate the genocide awareness! 🇵🇸
Here is the same really, mostly carbon road bikes but more practical bikes are appearing more frequently.
