18.14 video on installing two bolts?
Good video!
Are you able to sharp small chains with that like the 12 inch bar sthils climbing saws?
They hold more wood than one would expect.Started one today, 25 wheelbarrow loads and 5/8 or so complete.
❤thank you very helpful Bless you
And...how long dud it stay cokd
Super
Get yourself a wheelbarrow
Yeah i dont think m tronic has sensors to detect fuel quality or air temperature, i read it strictly monitors rpm, im selling my m tronic and going back to carb screws, simple is better and requires less maintenance.
Great video , I just ordered one. Thanks
Thanks for sharing!
Think its time I bought one of these, this is the recommended grinder for use w/the square-jig (which is simply an excellent invention which allows you to sharpen square-chisel chain teeth on this grinder) -if you don't know what square-chisel is well its a far faster cutting and more durable tooth shape than the round-chisel or semi-chisel chains, but its a pain to do it by hand and a simington square grinder is $1400- but I also have interest in doing different angles using the regular round-ground and this grinder has it.. for the many thousands of $ in saws and splitters and assorted cutting tools/gear its about time I upgraded from a $20 harbor freight plastic pos and went to Oregon. Shame though that this model is now made in China
There are as many ways to stack wood as there are wood stackers!
Hey there fella!! I love the video, but I have a question: How do you get your wood from the stack without it collapsing? Thanks
Great video. Just got kne and have done about 20 chains so far. Mix of brands. Kind of fun to mess around with angles and what not. Its a enjoyable way to kill some time.
Nice
Nice video. I thought when filling the gas the saw should be on the ground?
Thanks brother...really helps...have a great evening thanks again bye.....
I just used some electrical tape and covered the open fins over the same area as the plastic piece and saved the $$.
Man why you didn't show how it works, does smal fs55 have enough power to run saw blade?
Do they make this saw without the electronics
They had been offering both mtronic and regular carburetor on these, but I think they quit offering the regular carb version last year or the year before. You can call your local dealer,I may be wrong
@@ciphercode2298 I bought a brand new 261 a week ago, its not the C-version and I’m pretty sure it was made in 2024
Nice helpful video. Would have loved to see start to finish on the whole process but I’m not complaining. Thank you
Just a suggestion, read the section in the manual about chain tension.
Myself personally... I would not make that stack as high as you did. I would make it no higher than my upper shoulders. I would like nothing to obscure my sight of the land around me, or need to use any lumber hooks, peaveys, or what not to grab any pieces, beyond my sight. Also, I.would put several 8 foot long 4 to 6 inch thick poles across the width of the pile, every 4 to 6 levels of kindling, to help make the stack more stableby tying it all together more, besides your angling in of the individual pieces. That's just my way....
Would it not be easier and more environmentally friendly; as well as cheaper, to just use a center stake, and a rope to mark out the exact perimeter with small twigs driven upright into the ground about 4 to 5 inches proud, by about 6 to 10 inches apart. You can leave them be after you start your stack. Works in wet ground, or even under the rain itself. You think?
Ive been thinking about getting one of these nicer chain grinders having only ever had ahold of the cheap harbor freight ones before and i have to say the only thing i dont like out of it is the idea of using the grinder to set the rakers. I see how the full adjustability of the angles and different grinding rock specifically for the rakers would very much allow one to use it to do so but i just feel like there would be enough of a margin of error allowed in doing so instead of using a flat file and gauge to do it by hand. That allows you to set each individual raker to the spec of its tooth. I feel like the grinder would allow for either taking too much off or not enough where you end up judging the rakers by eye and gauge after trimming it down. Thats just me, i know a lot of others probably dont see an issue with it but ive mainly hand filed what time ive used saws to begin with so im sure one could understand my perspective.
Why you din't even tried to show us how it works for few second.any way thanks
I have a 261CM. I only have had one problem and that is when it gets hot. It will not run. And yes I have it set for the correct season and I am using Stihl mix. It runs after it cools down.
Sounds like my ryobi 38cc. Just got a 261
Make sure you engage the chain brake during restarts. Your Mtronic may be preventing it from starting with chain brake off.
It actually sounds like the tank may not be venting properly. You understand that when you're starting it warm that you dont move the switch. If it's a tank vent problem try loosening the fuel cap before trying a hot restart. If that helps its probably the tank vent
The birdsong is rich. I love the Mid West in summer. I'm not sure about the "drying faster"...I think it's slower slightly but, this method of stacking, I agree is the easiest, and best looking. If done right they will never fall over.
Heya!! Where did you get this? I have just finished my forestry training and haven'T been able to find this. Instructor just said to duct tape the bottom part but I feel like I'd prefer just getting the plate itself :P Cheers
I used black electrical tape. Not as messy to remove as duct tape.
Thanks for the reply. @@johnschreier8150 I've actually modeled a plate and printed one on my 3d printer :)
@@davidviau2522 Care to send me one to "test"? ;-)
It’s Holzhaufen. With an F. Literally means wood pule in German.
Someone gets in camera well fliming
That entire bottom row will rot sitting on the ground
I’m just wondering if you have to reset the saw when switching from winter to summer mode?
thanks :) i learned alot :) just bought my first chainsaw well explained how to use sharpen the chain , and tighten the chain tention :)
Great review Thanks
Best video on this I have watched- outstanding buddy!
wood on the first row on the muddy ground dries the fastest. i think the worms suck then water out of the bark. my grandpapi always told me that. great video!
How ?uch
Far better and quicker by hand using correct diameter file
My vans doing the exact same thing. I’m so glad I found a video of it 👍👍
Thankyou for the head tilt explanation, you said it in five secounds, othere people tried to say it in 12 MINUTES
Just what I needed to know
thank you that helps a lot!!!
Yeah but did it work...did your air get colder?
First time recharging my dad's ole f150, worked like a charm. Ty for the clear and quick explanation
Did the spike that came on the saw match the extra one that came with the new pack? I see in video that they appear to be the same. Just wanted to make sure. Thanks.
Great video, very detailed. Thanks.
Flip the choke all the way up.its sounds like the on/switch is bad
