    Yeah i dont think m tronic has sensors to detect fuel quality or air temperature, i read it strictly monitors rpm, im selling my m tronic and going back to carb screws, simple is better and requires less maintenance.

    Think its time I bought one of these, this is the recommended grinder for use w/the square-jig (which is simply an excellent invention which allows you to sharpen square-chisel chain teeth on this grinder) -if you don't know what square-chisel is well its a far faster cutting and more durable tooth shape than the round-chisel or semi-chisel chains, but its a pain to do it by hand and a simington square grinder is $1400- but I also have interest in doing different angles using the regular round-ground and this grinder has it.. for the many thousands of $ in saws and splitters and assorted cutting tools/gear its about time I upgraded from a $20 harbor freight plastic pos and went to Oregon. Shame though that this model is now made in China

  • @Wateringman

    Myself personally... I would not make that stack as high as you did. I would make it no higher than my upper shoulders. I would like nothing to obscure my sight of the land around me, or need to use any lumber hooks, peaveys, or what not to grab any pieces, beyond my sight. Also, I.would put several 8 foot long 4 to 6 inch thick poles across the width of the pile, every 4 to 6 levels of kindling, to help make the stack more stableby tying it all together more, besides your angling in of the individual pieces. That's just my way....

  • @Wateringman
    @Wateringman 9 месяцев назад

    Would it not be easier and more environmentally friendly; as well as cheaper, to just use a center stake, and a rope to mark out the exact perimeter with small twigs driven upright into the ground about 4 to 5 inches proud, by about 6 to 10 inches apart. You can leave them be after you start your stack. Works in wet ground, or even under the rain itself. You think?

  • @dannyhensley8306
    @dannyhensley8306 10 месяцев назад

    Ive been thinking about getting one of these nicer chain grinders having only ever had ahold of the cheap harbor freight ones before and i have to say the only thing i dont like out of it is the idea of using the grinder to set the rakers. I see how the full adjustability of the angles and different grinding rock specifically for the rakers would very much allow one to use it to do so but i just feel like there would be enough of a margin of error allowed in doing so instead of using a flat file and gauge to do it by hand. That allows you to set each individual raker to the spec of its tooth. I feel like the grinder would allow for either taking too much off or not enough where you end up judging the rakers by eye and gauge after trimming it down. Thats just me, i know a lot of others probably dont see an issue with it but ive mainly hand filed what time ive used saws to begin with so im sure one could understand my perspective.

      It actually sounds like the tank may not be venting properly. You understand that when you're starting it warm that you dont move the switch. If it's a tank vent problem try loosening the fuel cap before trying a hot restart. If that helps its probably the tank vent

    The birdsong is rich. I love the Mid West in summer. I'm not sure about the "drying faster"...I think it's slower slightly but, this method of stacking, I agree is the easiest, and best looking. If done right they will never fall over.
