    Thank you for this information. I shall try not to get anymore constipated than now, less in fact, and wanted to ask whether the colon “know”s not to remove water from the stool if you drink a lot of water? Is drink water a way to keep the stool soft in other words? And is Magnesium citrate useful and how does that work? I’ve tried psyllium, or a 1/4 tablet of senna and both give me such cramps I can’t seem to find a happy medium! Another thing I wanted to ask about and that’s the activity of the vagus nerve. I seem to be super sensitive, even to a bowel movement and can feel waves of shock and heart irregularities when things start moving. My heart’s fine but my vague nerve is crazy!

    I live in the uk and had a hysterectomy in 2005 removing all but one ovary and then needed a rectocele in 2015. I required support stitching from inside at the top of my vagial vault to my sacrospinous ligament so that healing would take place to so avoid further prolapse. Im happy to say that the procedures went well and I have not had any further problems though I did have the support stitches removed later on.( about 12 months later) I hope anyyone needing to have similar treatment is able to receive good advice and get the correct procedure 🙏🏼

    Thank you for your excellent videos! Question: one of my primary rectocele symptoms is significant anal/sphincter pain during and hours after bowel movements which are soft but take at least 20 minutes, splinting and contortions. Does this infer sphincter damage or can the rectocele alone cause this?

    • @DrJeffreyMcQueary
      @DrJeffreyMcQueary День назад

      I think that anal sphincter does not cause this type of pain, but still residual stool in the lower rectum and the pouch that the rectocele causes maybe the issue. You also are straining muscles in order to be able to evacuate the stool and that all can lead to the symptoms you are having.

    Great video after all these months and the Urologist didn’t do any test and wanted to insert an implant an Axonics device! No testing and guessing! Wasn’t comfortable with this. Didn’t really explain anything and then I receive a call from the company that wanted to set up a surgery! I didn’t have all the symptoms for this surgery, from what I could understand. So, I felt the Doctor was just pushing this surgery like many Doctors push Pharmaceutical. So it was a trial! I just have issues with urgency and NOT BEING ABLE TO URINATE. (Female 66 @ the time) $30-40K. Anyway, I have been researching and researching for months and with all I have read, IC is what it sounds like it is. Reddit is where I read a lot from others….male and female and thought, I have IC!!! Then, I see your video and have a new Urologist appointment end of January.

Well, that was the first one the last 1I had to have the other 2, because I'd already headed his direct to me, but I had that was my third time having that done. And my doctor told me that if I mess it up one more time. I might be looking at wearing a bag on my side and he scared me. So bad. Could there be possibly anyway that that could be corrected and fixed? Even better before something like that really happens. I'm scared. That's why I'm scared of sex. Does that make sense? I'm truly, truly asking for someone's opinion. Haven't had sex four almost a year since the surgery.And i'm still scared too

    • @DrJeffreyMcQueary
      @DrJeffreyMcQueary 18 дней назад

      Absolutely is very common and that shows that there is weakness in the support for the pee tube or urethra. Do pelvic exercises to increase the strength in that area and that can help but sometimes even at the age of 34 surgery is necessary and can be very effective.

You also must take magnesium along with Thiamax. Thiamin deficiency mimics many conditions. Please, please, please do yourself a favor and tune in Elliot Overton and his talks on thiamin deficiency. A high carb diet and drinking alcohol deplete thiamin.

    If on Mirabegron/Mybetriq how long should I give it before giving up? If it is helping, what should that even look like? Every 3 hours? 4 hours? Nighttime wakings? If after 11 weeks I am still going 12 to 16 times a day and most of my urine output is at night with small voids during the day, should I give up on it? I think I actually go more now, especially at night than before the med. The only thing I have noticed is less burning pain. Does Mirabegron/Mybetriq help with bladder pain? I can’t find an answer on that.

      Myrbetriq does not help with pain. Just urgency and should help in 4-6 weeks with decreased frequency and urge. If problems mostly at night then this could be nocturnal polyuria and should be discussed with your physician.

I usually can hold it after the feeling for about an hour and even more, but is that okay to do? If I go right after the urge, I may only go 2 ounces and I can go more if I hold it way longer.

      @@DrJeffreyMcQuearyI am sorry but I had another question and I typed it into the reply but not reply to you like I should have! If you have time could you possibly answer that too please. I was wondering if it was okay to hold the urge to pee for an hour or more. I gave more details in my other reply….. I appreciate any help. Thank you so much!

      Often under anesthesia weaknesses can be detected. An experienced surgeon will understand what to repair.

    I have all 4 kinds of prolapse. And lifelong severe constipation. After trying multiple kinds of constipation medicine, vitamines and herbs, the only thing that helps consistently is magnesium glycinate. Start low dose twice a day and gradually go up till it works. I take 700 mg total daily

    I had a uterine prolapse that was pushing on my bladder causing it to extend outside my body The surgery was laparoscopic vaginal hysterectomy Bilateral salpingectomy Bilateral salpingo proctor Sacrospinous ligament fixation that is what my chart says

    • @DrJeffreyMcQueary
      @DrJeffreyMcQueary Месяц назад

      The bladder was not repaired during the surgery, but the upper vaginal area was re-suspended to the sacrospinous ligament. At the time of the surgery, they may have felt that suspended the bladder well but it’s not uncommon for it to fall again.

    I had a stage 3 bladder prolapse repair in June I had a complete hysterectomy and a sling made out of my own ligaments. After 3 months my bladder prolapsed again. My gynecologist said the surgery was successful but my bladder is a heavy organ and my muscles are weak so it slipped through the sling. I don’t understand how they can say this was successful. I’m not very happy and my activity level is not what I’m used to. I weigh 128 and am 5’4. I can’t even dance with my students ( I teach music 3-5). My doctor has recommended PT. Which I’ve been doing for about a month and a half. I can’t say it’s helping me. My doctor said the next step would be a bladder lift. I just can’t keep having surgeries. I just don’t know what to do

      I would need to know what type of surgery you actually had and what ligaments that they actually tied to. Also, what type of sling you may have had and I can make better recommendations for you.

      Most likely your bladder prolapsed and was not repaired during the previous surgery. This is pretty common and even if it looks good during surgery that can happen even my patients can have some recurrence of bladder prolapse at times despite the best effort to do a good procedure. The bladder is the weakest part of the procedure.

      See your gynecologist to see if they can diagnose a rectocele which may be part of your issue.

    My vagina has literally moved forward and tops of my thighs are almost saggy. It’s awful. I need to see a doctor that will get this poop out and show me how to do it myself. I have a curved stick thing and I’ve tried a vibrator and my fingers. I’m exhausted. Please I beg for any referrals in Nashville. My appointment on the 31st is with a Dr Swan. I don’t know anything about him. I just want somebody to speak plainly to me rather than beating around the bush pun intended. I do not want to get on disability. I do not want to die. I want to move again and be active and healthy. My husband is leaving me because he’s sick of my “laziness”. He doesn’t understand. I don’t even care.

      @DrJeffreyMcQueary Месяц назад

      Looks like Dr Swan is the right Dr to go to. It does sound like you have a rectocele and push on the back of the vagina when you try to poop. That can help.

      @ it’s not working. I bought that thing from amazon too and it just doesn’t work. Maybe a ribbon 🎀 of 💩 will come out. I literally need someone to X-ray me and find out how my organs are now positioned so that I can get it out myself. I’m scared I’m Going to make it worse! I push low push high up in the middle. Am I doing something wrong? I bet I had a uterine prolapse before my hysterectomy in April and nobody caught it because I had these problems then but not with the absolute inability to pass a normal firm girthy poop. My poops were infrequent before the surgery for a few years getting worse in the last year and I was peeing when I’d laugh or sneeze which isn’t happening anymore but now without my uterus I pee time half of the time and the other half I can’t pee pee. I remember about the end of 2020 I began to have the urge to “Asian squat” all the time ya know to rest. Standing would get tiresome. I didn’t realize it was from leg fatigue. I thought it was my entire body. I remember being at the grocery store and having to Asian squat at the bananas and people were walking around me like are you ok?? I’m grateful that I have the flexibility to squat. Cooking?? Oh I’d have to get the ottoman and kneel on it while chopping vegetables. My PCP has tested me for every disease/syndrome- my bloodwork is always fine, no calcium in my heart, so many X-rays and CY scans and nobody caught it. I was told I was constipated once and to take Mirilax. It’s been years of being uncomfortable. It takes me an hour to get semi comfortable to go to bed sometimes I just stay awake all night. After I woke up from my hysterectomy the surgeon wasn’t there. Also the camera happened to not be working. Adenomyosis and endo scarring and active endo. Took her 5 days to get back to me to give me any details on the procedure. When I saw her she acted weird. I’ve been gaslit by doctors so much back when I was young (I’m 46 now) that when I go into a Dr office I cry because I know they won’t take me seriously which makes the doctors ask “do you have a psychiatrist?” “You are under a lot of stress. Stop the stress. It’s inflammation. Your bloodwork it fine. You are fine.” And act like I’m drug seeking. So now I understand that it is my responsibility to stay calm, bring my husband or a friend, have notes, and speak like a CEO. I’m good at that. So I’m practicing. I had a tummy tuck in 2014. The surgeon actually scolded me because he had a difficult time with my procedure “it won’t be my fault if you gain weight.” Everything really went downhill after that. The pain lasted so long. Thank you for your words of encouragement about that Dr. I hope he is honest and has at least an hour training in Trauma Informed Care. -🙏Sarah
