Kotlet is not armenian
Maybe the wording is not Armenian, but the taste and seasoning is.
LOOKS BEAUTIFUL AND TASTY 👏👏
Thank you so much 😘👩🍳
What is the name of the pan with holes in it
It doesn’t have a specific name. You can find it on Amazon. I hope I answered your question. 👩🍳

Mine is Armenian Sarma!
Thanks
You dont use grape molasses in your recipe? I like mine with grape molasses
Looks delicious!!
Can't see the mahleb😢
Hayasdantziz don’t use mahleb. This is Hayasdantzi recipe.
My mother was armenian and all the relatives used it. Never mind you can use it not but give a good typical taste and smell all around home 🏠
What a breakfast
Looks so good
Thanks! 👩🍳❤️
I wish you would list what spices; is that basil atop?
Thanks for asking. It is chopped parsley on top. 👩🍳❤️
@@margaretlalikskitchen3552 ah. I didnt know so i made it with cumin, indian paparika, (used lamb liver though); basil, fuenegreek leaves, lamb cheese and a full thing of garlic atop the normal recepie. It was so good.
@@chriskatz2355 I only use salt, black pepper and red pepper. Cumin will work too. I am glad you tried it and liked it. Thanks for sharing your recipe.
@@margaretlalikskitchen3552 no problem. Also grounded black poppy seeds would go good on it with some sumac and cumin (50/50 the cumin) so long as you use red meat thats a good mix. But idk the laws in some countries might prohibit that. Maybe some orange peel zest? Kind of chinese 5 spice it that way along with some ginger? Hmm...ill try that next time

Beautiful!!! Can we use brown sugar?

You made a hotel video and didn’t show your room smh
Next time I will show the room as well. It is my favorite hotel. I go there very often.
While the very word dolma is etymologically Turkic.... Armenian Dolma... Interesting.
Every nationality has their own version of dolma. Our spices and herbs are different than yours. Try my recipe and you will be convinced. Use of Armenian language was prohibited under the ottoman empire, therefore the foods are named In Turkish. My grandma didn’t speak a ward in Armenian. They were scared to speak and admit that they were Armenians.
@@margaretlalikskitchen3552 Not true at all. Ottoman Empire has no policy of prohibition on local languages. So, there was no ban on Armenian language. Perhaps a Turkish majority in the region where your grandma lived was a factor of pressure on Armenian language. Every minority tends to speak major language and this tendency sometimes leads to linguistic assimilation. On the other hand, differences in your dolma version must be worth tasting. Thank you for your reply.
Please don’t lie to yourself! You know better that dolma is an Armenian word and the Turks living in Armenian lands, learned Armenian words, how to make food and the culture. Turkeys copied everything from Armenians and made their own 😃
@@helenagyulassarian4296 You do not speak Turkish, Don't you. So you cannot understand the structure of Turkish words. Thus it will be meaningless to write down countless Turkish words sharing a similar structure for you. Sevan Bedros Nişanyan ( Սեւան Պետրոս Նշանեան) is a Turkish citizen of Armenian origins. He is a famous linguist and the most trustworthy etymologist in Turkiye. He also confirms dolma is a Turkish word. Do you really assume that people of nomadic traditions lack culture? Nomadic way of life is a culture on its own. Don't you know that? Of course, caveman and barbarian Turks were accultured by super culture of highly civilized Armenian highlanders (!) But Armenians did not take anything from Turks although Turks ruled them for almost a millenium. (!) Do not be ridiculous. Do not demean yourself.
@@nadirhikmetkuleli7335 do you think I am naive and I will believe what you wrote is the truth.😃 Don’t be stupid! There are so many turk/jews covers under Armenian last and first name and speak Armenian that trying to destroy the Armenian history, Armenian language and the Armenian culture. You educate yourself with real Armenian history and then talk.
Seems like a good dish! I love dolma but I don’t know about the cinnamon I would probably skip that seasoning.
Thanks for your comment. If you try my recipe I can assure you will love it. Try it with cinnamon it adds to the overall taste. You can’t even tell it is there. The overall taste is unbelievably delicious. I tried many different versions, but my Mom’s is the best. If you make it let me know how you like it. Enjoy!
Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful recipe with your sweet mom. We use the insides of the eggplant to make like an inside out imam bayildi. I wish I knew the Armenian name of it but that’s what they called it growing up. 💖
Thanks for your comment! I am glad you liked this recipe. My sweet Mom had a stroke and she was in the hospital last 2 months. She just got back home last week. Those are my Mom’s recipes. We Armenians also call Iman bayildi. I am curious are you Armenian?
Is butter salted or unsalted?
Thanks for your question. It is unsalted.👩🍳❤️
Very helpfull. I have so many grape leaves and I want to make dolmades. Thank you.
I am glad you find it helpful. Enjoy your dolmades. Where are you writing from. I am curious. Thanks for following my channel. 👩🍳❤️
Oh, hi. Well I am writing from Wisconsin USA. Where I live the most outlandish is Chinese😢. I lived in Denmark for many years where Greek and Persian food was easy to come by. I miss all the wonderful flavors and aromas. Take Care ❤😊@@margaretlalikskitchen3552
PLEASE turn the music down! Too distracting.
Thanks for letting me know
when traditional armenian turk arrives?
I don’t understand your question.
Greeks are changing the name of Turkish dishes. And they call it Greek food. But you use Turkish names and say Armenian food. All the videos on your channel are in this style. The Turkish pronunciation you use is almost perfect. Does your mother speak Turkish?
Tolma
???
A fascinating look at a great thing to do in Yerevan - thank you Margaret.
You are very welcome! It is a must see place if you ever go to Armenia. I highly recommend it.
