While the very word dolma is etymologically Turkic.... Armenian Dolma... Interesting.

Every nationality has their own version of dolma. Our spices and herbs are different than yours. Try my recipe and you will be convinced. Use of Armenian language was prohibited under the ottoman empire, therefore the foods are named In Turkish. My grandma didn’t speak a ward in Armenian. They were scared to speak and admit that they were Armenians.

@@margaretlalikskitchen3552 Not true at all. Ottoman Empire has no policy of prohibition on local languages. So, there was no ban on Armenian language. Perhaps a Turkish majority in the region where your grandma lived was a factor of pressure on Armenian language. Every minority tends to speak major language and this tendency sometimes leads to linguistic assimilation.
On the other hand, differences in your dolma version must be worth tasting. Thank you for your reply.

      Please don’t lie to yourself!
You know better that dolma is an Armenian word and the Turks living in Armenian lands, learned Armenian words, how to make food and the culture.
Turkeys copied everything from Armenians and made their own 😃

@@helenagyulassarian4296 You do not speak Turkish, Don't you. So you cannot understand the structure of Turkish words. Thus it will be meaningless to write down countless Turkish words sharing a similar structure for you.
Sevan Bedros Nişanyan ( Սեւան Պետրոս Նշանեան) is a Turkish citizen of Armenian origins. He is a famous linguist and the most trustworthy etymologist in Turkiye. He also confirms dolma is a Turkish word.
Do you really assume that people of nomadic traditions lack culture? Nomadic way of life is a culture on its own. Don't you know that?
Of course, caveman and barbarian Turks were accultured by super culture of highly civilized Armenian highlanders (!) But Armenians did not take anything from Turks although Turks ruled them for almost a millenium. (!)
Do not be ridiculous. Do not demean yourself.

@@nadirhikmetkuleli7335 do you think I am naive and I will believe what you wrote is the truth.😃
      Don’t be stupid!
There are so many turk/jews covers under Armenian last and first name and speak Armenian that trying to destroy the Armenian history, Armenian language and the Armenian culture.
You educate yourself with real Armenian history and then talk.
