The logic behind the people in the community is unbelievable. Its totally understandable that a few people might complain out of 80. But then why would it affects the entire community if its some guy in his tent talking about the conditions before he goes to work? Sickness alwasy seems to get me, with 5 medical facilities, for some reason, the doctors decide to stay home. Uhhh? Theres 30+ sick people and you're staying home? Maybe later, but I wish you could set individuals to 24 hour shifts. Also by the time it gets down to ~80F, those steam posts and overdrive don't do anything? How would you even allocate the time, research and resources to get to those higher ranks to then allocate more resources and time to research the gen upgrades, and then more resources and time to build them, all whilst having to use all three on sustaining life too? Thats if they even want to do all of that. On my 3rd or 4th run, if they get too complainy and decide not to work, ill started letting the resources drain. Lets see who complains when there's NO generator to heat them up after they decide to leave the town. Literal idiots, im trying to save them. If they cant see the plan 5 days into the future then there's no hope, oh but wait, they can only see that far for things THEY want. 🙄

as someone who never played SL I came to see how to get quick renown skips only to find in the comments it apparently has been fixed, I would love to know all or any skips as I would like to quickly go through and get the mounts etc. thanks for the video though..

Another tip is don’t get to winter home too early, I’ve done it now a few times and end up running into too many problems because of it.

this game is way too difficult. i love resource management games but this game has absolutely no expectation for you to succeed and its awful. you literally cant research the techs you need fast enough to have them when you need them, everyone gets sick and dies, and after 7 attempts and 5 hours of gameplay you realize you just wasted your whole day. 10/10 concept, 0/10 gameplay

My tip is to always upgrade your housing so you are ready for the temp drops and that will save on coal. and of course build them around the generator.

my issue with The Arks scenario is that i simply cannot gather enough coal. I end up crossing the -60° threshhold with 2 coal mines, a coal thumper,and 2 gathering posts for the thumper, manned by 5 automatons.....i still run out of coal. It feels impossible because im investing EVERYTHING into heat and coal production and its still just not enough.

This mission ruined the game for me, had max resources pegged with everything cranked & autonomous.

On my first attempt on this map, I lost by 20 coals and the seeds perished. Second try, I saved the Arks and New Manchester.

what I dislike about the arks is that the game is too short. In most levels there are also faith and order laws. You dont get any new people so you have to save them all what is pretty easy but that makes certain like like graveyards and hope not that important. You only have to build 5 tents and one hothouse and the place is more then enough. Too bad modding isnt possible, I would like to do so.

Thanks for the info. It looks like you can get a bad ending if the wrong laws are chosen, and you don't have to select all laws. Just starting, though and trying to be conservative and survive LOL.

the closest i’ve gotten to city builder management games in the past has been spore and the sims… frostpunk is a very funny step up lmao, especially playing it on a handheld. i abandoned my first city and i was at the 20 something day mark with my second city which was holding up surprisingly well even though my discontent was almost always at max, half the population were sick and my coal stocking game is miserable. going to start a new city with some of these tips, thank you. think i keep trying to rush progress too much

I remember on my first playthrough where I actually won, I was still researching heat upgrades during the final storm, obviously not a good idea but I made it somehow. I think these are good tips

nice quick overview. ty. would be curious to see what you thought of the district style city builder in the leaked sequel. i haven't had much interest in games like civ where all the operations are at the macro scale myself. i like having to map out and build structure, by structure while also handling other mechanics and scenarios within the og frostpunk. each year when it starts getting cold i think back to this game. don't always play but it's a fun time inside avoiding the cold.

Used to Prot Paly but ... kinda bad right now and my mate wants to play Holy Paly so 2 Pals ain't interessting. So Prot Warrior seems the closest to pally in terms of gameplay imo. Or Blood DK ... like this we can trade stuff easily. If I follow my heart ... maybe MONK <3. Ideally need a tank that as a good and mostly fun dps spec for Raid ... Any advice? Good night

Picking this back up after 18 years.... Want to go tank for dungeons and raid with a good ability to dps when tanking is not needed. Im thinking either Monk or Warrior since prot paladin seems to now suck

I'll be maining prot paladin. Because blizzard ALWAYS buffs the tank which is the worst. At some point, day before live, or a week after. They will get a huge buff. I know they will, and I'm down for that.

since the beginning of beta everyone's been saying "guardian druid is going to be a beast" so i'm just banking on a last second wild nerf to guardian druid. I have 1 ready just in case. but still.

I played Guardian for many years, but i think now its time to switch. The Moon Bear is so boring, you can just sleep while tanking. I like the idae of Druid of the Claw, but it doesnt make sense at all. Talent choices, dps and survivability cant compete with the moon bear. You drop incarn, you drop tooth and claw just for spreading moonfire and waiting for your next lunar beam.

Prot Pala bad? I'm a 3.2k prot pala. even with the changes, everything is so smooth

Its so sad, i love my pala, but right now, my rouge feels more tanky than my paladin.

Lol from the thumbnail, Ret will not be a fun tank to play. As a Prot Pal main, i agree, although theres a lot of doom and gloom about our survivability in the current state of the Beta.
