This is an update to our recent G Body Ls Swap we completed. We installed a Dakota Digital gauge cluster and did a little wiring to take advantage of the paddle shifting ability of the Holley Terminator transmission control. This 1969 Pontiac Firebird came to us as a bare shell and a bucket of bolts. We pulled a 6.2 LSA engine and 6L90e transmission from a 2013 Camaro ZL1 and installed it with a mount kit from Holley and Headers from Hooker. I have a 67 Camaro about to start on a full resto-mod job. I'm thinking LS3 turbo or super charged. I'm leaning toward super charger but, will an 8 speed or newer 10 speed automatic require some transmission tunnel cutting and fabrication?
I personally would not run either of those transmissions but yes you would have to cut the tunnel. Also, there would be some technical hurdles to work through as you would need to use a factory pcm to control the transmission and there was no pcm made by GM that would run the transmission and engine. Moral of the story, don’t do it. Just my $.02.

This was a manual truck to begin with but yes you could do that

No mods. Fits right in there. Obviously mounts and a custom driveshaft.

Man I need a ls swap in this cutlass 442 I found that’s clean. I could buy a new/newer car or truck and have been looking for so long but I just don’t like anything new… that isn’t 100k$ an up
dude used a 91-94 explorer radiator, s10 headers with the passenger header flange moved 2 inches lower and had to smash the back of the firewall back a little.
I thought SS were bucket seats with floor shifter?

Just the speedo cable. You will use the speed output wire from the pcm to box and then power and grounds

Well there really is no correct answer. There is a plethora of cams out there based on a ton of variables. The Truck Norris cam is very popular, sounds good and works well on a completely stock engine. Hope that helps

There isn’t really out there as a “kit”. If I remember correctly someone was making the engine mounts at one point. Other than that you are kinda on your own. It's a hot 🔥 mess. 350, 355, 383, 396, 400, 427, even 454 carbureted on Old School unless you don't own a screwdriver and have real car guys who don't want to rob you. P.S. if you haven't Changed your Oil in a Year😘 We are done here.

Has so far on multiple projects. Will I recommend it for something that will be abused, no, but in something like this it has worked out great.
