Between the age of 18 and 28 I spent most of my life in prison. I started on a destructive path that lead to me losing my freedom and being locked away in some of the UK's toughest prisons.
I ended up thriving in prison, I had a shop selling smuggled items, staff bringing in goods for me and time out of the prison to go home and party. It started of very differently though. Portland Prison was my proving ground, somewhere I had to dig deep within myself to survive. I was reborn, not for the better.
At 25 I was looking at life in prison. I'd thrown away any chance I'd been given and was looking at rotting in jail.
The diary podcast came about after a comedian came to see me and we talked about life in and out of prison. I had always talked about the best bits of being a crook, the fun and games of it all. I never spoke about the depressing sides of it, the dark times where you feel like you wont make it to release day.
Thanks for listening.

William Bonny Weekly Podcast 14: Back once again
You're obviously VERY intelligent, so taking shit off some muggy cun* screw whilst you were behind the door must have really pissed you off/angered you/made you think: How the fuck did it come to THIS?!😲😂Is that a fair comment, and an accurate interpretation of some of the emotions and frustrations you experienced William?👍
I spent 2 year's in portland, I remember a lot of violent fights, talking down toilets, shiting in a pot that had to be emptied in the morning, a guy getting his ear bitten of in the shower, screws who were as violent as the inmates, gym training that made people sick it was an horrible experience.
Dartmoor is now shut for 18 months, as theres radion vapour, in the granite walls n ground so every one has been shipped to other prison ,.we went there yesday and as we drove up the hill it was foggy n in that fog was the prison. ...its very eery to seee that .. its now a cat c prison
Went there Portland for the inter prison bricklaying competition 2000 from onley YOi I remember my mate I went with as you did the competition in pairs paddy say “Gov” to one screws when we first got there as not knowing where fuck all was he shouted back “luv” I’m not your fucking luv you call me “sir” here lol remember the lines on the stairs for going up and down and the cell we had was a right shithole slop out and all that and what you said about pressing the buzzer at night and having so much time to get back to your cell and remember a sign saying about not sending lines with razor blades on them for the seagulls and sending food to them also lol and when first getting there seeing this one lad wearing these horrible jeans and a horrible gold colour tie on onley was completely different much better and there was definitely skull duggery going on in the brick laying competition with the muck I remember we had to wait ages as we run out that happened time and time again but the Portland boys they didn’t go without I noticed and they were nice and close to the Mixer whilst we was the farthest away and MR. Samson the bricklayer teacher from onley and the two screws we went down with in a mini bus all cuffed up together me and paddy by our legs and wrists I’ll never forget that still got pictures taken from the bricklaying competition and the t-shirts we all had to wear and the bricks they were given by a local building firm were terrible does anyone one else here remember the competition there?

Doesnt look like that anymore. They got rid of the small gym that was in there also. Was still a wing for 'well behaved' prisoners.
No .
I've just been released from dartmoor and we worked out that it's not how many inmates are set offenders, it's easier to think how many aren't , , I was on D wing and I believed that only about 20 of us were mains prisoners , sadly I've checked on Google and some of those 20 were set offenders , I'm 71 now , the last time I was in prison was 1985 after the flying squad put 18 bullets into my car , they were after Dave Martin , anyway when you landed into a prison you left your depositions out , which is what I did this time around , nobody else in dartmoor ever did that ,
Its a perspecs door behind a cell door its not a full perspexs front like lecter and he didnt eat any brain
Why was her house full of so much hospital paperwork and her diaries saying she did it all?
NHS scapegoat oh give over she guilty don't know evil till you touched it.Addiction😢
Shes INNOCENT.
Legal Aid defense...
So sales work is the way to go. Good to know. I’m struggling since got a non-custodial conviction, had 3 or 4 offers withdrawn now and am consequently only going for jobs via the ‘get back into employment’ civil service schemes or who are open to work with people with records. Was a tutor and learning support assistant previously. HR also seems OK - been told it’s not a problem.
Bacon
Good to see you mate ain't seen you in a while mate
The more I read and listen to people who are experts in the field, the more I can see that this is a massive miscarriage of justice.
3 years in Dartmoor G wing on the 2's
Bullshit she is innocent
Yes she is innocent Lucy.❤
Britain prisons arnt like holidays camps especially the dispersals cat A prison very dangerous place's
With the Maddie McCann death 2nd biggest, and both involve the NHS and NHS Doctors, not a coincidence. Poor Lucy, this is so wrong.
Well the diary and the work notes is a little bit serial killer…
Shes going to jail, they will make sn example of her.
He was named in court as a registered Police informant under oath. Tommy Mack. Why did he never get an unexplained wealth order against him like the Adams brothers and the Arifs? If the state wsnted to take Courtney down it could have eaily done so, it could have bankrupted him and msde it impossible for him to operate. Such as they did to the names mentioned. Curtis Warren cant even walk down the street or make a phone call. Do uou really think the state would have tolerated a two bit hood like Courtney bagging that he openly corrupted Police Officers?😂
Dr Shipman never looked like a seriel killer. Its a moot point. You are correct, millions of interactions take place between patients and medics in the UK every year, in that statistical probability will show clusters of unexplained deaths. Including healthy babies, children and adults dying from unexplained deaths. In terms of probability there are even people who have won the lottery jackpot more then once. Hundreds of millions to one events do happen. She Will eventually get acquitted, the prosecution science will be debunked
Extremely uninformed opinion piece. Awful for the victims families. Crime Scene to Courtroom vids wipe the floor with this drivel. Zero substance, pure conjecture. Fine for a topic that won't further victimise already heartbroken families.
As a victim awaiting justice im interested in seeing more detail of this prison crisis. Are members of the public allowed to interview and film to gather public information on this topic? As we fund it it seems fair and transparent for us to be able to see the full picture
It's a witch hunt by men. As usual.
Fuck me 2003 was bad ? Try it in the early 1990s . Place was bred on brutality.
hi do you think it is possible for a middle class individual to do a medium length sentence without being subjected to violence
82 rattcliffe. O'Grady. I remember
Lindolme near Doncaster was a C-D category prison, I was there in 1994/95 in the cat D.
I remember the noise from the gulls and gettingdipped fully in a bath of detol. Threatened by the dr
I loved it there 1982
The system is overstretched
This is disturbing. Maybe they need someone to take the rap
The latest trial is very disturbing (Baby K death). The judge directed the jury to consider that Letby has already been found guilty of similar crimes and thus this was acceptable to utilise this information in the deliberation of this case. Talk about furnishing an outcome. This was certainly not a fair trial.
I think she is not guilty too
where is the evidence
Having been sexually active and made many advances with women. When they are not interested, THEY MAKE IT KNOWN. period. These girls all give interviews beforehand. Any woman I’ve been with would have fought me if I tried to force them. I don’t believe it one bit.
The scene with mark and the mentally Ill man was really scary and realistic and his mistake even tho it’s a natural reaction when someone shouts you look in the direction of the noise was that he didn’t just walk past him and headed back to his cell obviously having no idea about the situation he out himself in
Welcome back brother!
great to hear your voice again xxx
I’m starting to think this lass is innocent! I’ve had the misfortune of having a 2 month premature baby who was on the neonatal unit in pinderfields hospital an trust me it was a shit show, I started counting nappy’s as the nappy rash my daughter had was shocking in 12 hours from me leaving at 9pm till 9am she had been changed 2 times, people walked on an off the so-called secure ward without any staff noticing!
No all kids do that filing pad up with £1 shampoos, always just put a few out and rest get put in a box under bed. She must be trying to get some footage on purpose? Madness.
Bailed? Seen it happen in prison some years ago, she going to prison soon.
Weekly my arsee😂😂😂😂😂😂❤
Great story would love to hear What your up to now....😁
Well that's her screwed 😂, always great stories 💯👍, stay positive William 💙
He’s back! Long time mate. Do you think she’s gonna get charged for receiving swollen goods too?
