I went to see “Phantom of the Opera” for my 18th birthday and it was the most transcendent experiences of my life. Even though it’s no longer on Broadway anymore, I am thankful for the memories it gave me.

Saw him in January 2023, as soon as a that first drum roll kicked off and Ben started singing, I was in shock!!!!! The sound and singing in that theatre is something I’ll never forget!

All that I asked of the Phantom was for it not to close on MY BIRTHDAY. I will always be traumatized on my birthday now.

It's 2024. 38 years after the show opened in West End. By now we should be seeing the Phantom riding the chandelier as it crashes down, while shooting out fireballs/lightning towards the cast of Il Muto and the audience, before dramatically flying away up towards the roof.

Saw it recently and enjoyed the new production! Not all of the changes work but reimagining theatre pieces is what keeps theatre exciting. No one wants to see the same production over and over! Shakespeare’s play would not still attract huge audiences if they were staged as his staged them every year. The 2023 production of Sunset Boulevard is a testament to what bold reimagining can deliver.

Crawford was awful I’ve seen this show over 40 times in my life when I saw be Crawford live a few times he always seemed to try and make the show a sitcom. Even getting laughs from the audience. And who the hell sings like that? . “ basking in your glorieeeeeeeeeee” ? I’m no vocal coach but he makes the phantom sound like a moron

Absolutely pathetic Phantom. He sounds almost bored as if he just wants to get this show over with. He’s not the Phantom he’s playing the phantom. It’s a borderline insult to the show itself and the great phantoms of the past. Honesty if this was the shit they were trotting out there at the end I’m glad it closed before it degenerates to a shell of itself like everything sacred in society

London cast the best. His pronunciation is totally distracting. I don’t know if it’s his accent or what.

Just so it is clear to everyone, this is not the brilliant original, this is a touring production which replaced the original in London, and so has compromised sets, and reduced orchestra of 14 musicians (the original always had 27) and frankly is a mess, put on by greedy producer Cameron Macintosh so that he wouldn’t have to pay as much

Seeing so many incarnations of the characters throughout the years I'm still amazed how everyone puts their own twist to the same song. Julia is definitely more flirty than some of the previous singers. I'm just so used to having the word 'consume' accentuated strongly and I kinda missed that

That was worse than I imagined. That horse thing is terrible and doesn’t work as a metaphor like the Fallen Angel does. And the red curtain upstage from the boxes? And that ugly chandelier? Yuck I would rather Phantom stays closed than this mess ever coming to New York.
