HOVER AIR X1 PRO MAX Drone - Is it any GOOD?
I recently purchased the Hover Air X1 Pro Max drone to record my kayaking adventures, however, I have decided to test it on land before recording on my kayak to see if it is any good.
In this video, I will go through some of the modes and also showing you the quality of the video. I do love the size of the Hover Air X1 Pro Max drone and it is definitely convenient to use.
Later down the track, I will compare it to the DJI Neo drone so you can see the comparisons between these two drones.

DJI NEO - Let's Go for a SWIM

I've been testing the DJI Neo on the water while kayaking and had alot of fun testing it and I thought, how about using the DJI Neo for swimming? Wouldn't that be a fun test? Please note that the DJI Neo was not made for the water and it never was. This is clearly stated in the instruction manual, however, I wanted to test the limits. Have fun watching this video testing the DJI Neo while swimm...

DJI NEO Water Test - Does it work? I made a introductory video of testing the DJI Neo while kayaking on the water. I did run into some drama while testing the DJI Neo on the water but thankfully, nothing serious happened. This time, I wanted to test the DJI NEO again by using the Direction Tracking, Spotlight Mode, and the Follow Mode. Let's see how it goes! I will be sharing my experience kaya...
KAYAKING with DJI NEO - Is it any GOOD?

I will be sharing my experience kayaking with the DJI NEO and share with you if it is any good. I have been using the DJI Mini 2 however the functions of the DJI NEO seemed too good to resist and I believe it will make my life easier while kayaking to get some great footage. There is definitely a learning curve when using a drone while kayaking so I believe I will get better at it and capture b...

I have been progressing with my Greenland Kayak Rolling and now, moving on the my next GREENLAND KAYAK ROLL - Armpit Roll & Crook of Elbow Roll. CARBON VS WOOD - Greenland Paddles for Kayaking

Greenland Paddles - CARBON VS WOOD. I have been using both Carbon and Wood Greenland paddles while kayaking and there's definitely differences when using these two types of Greenland Paddles. I tend to use the Carbon Greenland Paddles such as the Ipik, Kalleq, and Akiak for long distances while I use the Eastpoles Wooden Paddle, Nanook for shorter distances and rolling. Solid save that !
ruclips.net/video/AAzNIxH1AaE/видео.html (In case that you have not corrected your mistake by now ) Doing back roll, you start rolling while your paddle is pointing to the tail of your kayak. Your paddle should be 90 degrees to the kayak and close to the surface before you start pushing down and rolling. You will see it is very easy to roll then.
Interesting... do you know there is a way to indicate to the drone to stop? it is raising your hand with like a stop gesture ;)
I have a Gearlabs Akiak 220-ish greenland paddle. Nice build, but heavy. I think the two-piece design adds a lot of weight. It is heavier than my 30 year old carbon wing paddle of the same length, and heavier than my wife's home made cedar greenland paddle. Also heavier than advertised on the Gearlabs website. Not a complaint so much as a warning that published weights are like published gas mileage for automobiles - ie., somewhat aspirational. That said I'm happy with the paddle and will keep using it.
I'm so tempted but it's too expensive to risk on the sea
I'm curious to know what country your in and where did you buy the white kayak?
Hi.. I’m in Hong Kong. I shipped the Rebel Greenland T from the UK to Hong Kong.
Nice rolls. Where are you?
Appreciate it! I’m in Hong Kong
Hiking, mountain bike, kayaking, you want to focus on the activity you're doing, but at the same time it's cool to record it. Not being able to bring a film crew with you, the simpler they keep making this stuff the better and it looks like this one is getting close. Also, the less you have to carry the better. Video quality is acceptable, since so much of what we watch is on our small phone screens. Great review.
Needs to be water proof
You might get better results by adding a polarising filter to the Neo's camera, as that will reduce the reflections and possibly allow it to see the swimmer's legs.
Awesome
Great video and New Subscriber from Philippines
Wow, this was interesting buddy. By the way, do you remember when I said I learned to roll without a paddle many many years ago lol Well I found a video of someone doing it here's the link. I was going to email you it but I couldn't find your email Haha ruclips.net/user/shortspCm0y15BKZo?si=8iUWFGkxne5y5teV I did wonder about your channel's name too but the mystery has been solved. (Beer Bottle Opener lol)
ahhh the hand roll... That is an advanced roll.. I need to invest some time back into rolling but it's just too cold these days. I saw you went out recently.. isn't it cold over there?
@@Fishaholicboy Bloody cold. But we are used to it lol. I wish I could still hand roll, but them days are gone for me (To Old) Soon be Spring and I'm sure you will be back on the water, and I bet you manage it.
What is the name of your phone case (0:28) ? Do you like it?
The phone case is just the one from Apple.. or do you mean something else?
@@Fishaholicboy Incorrect translation. I mean phone holder.
I have threaded inserts in the decks of my custom kayaks but for my Trak and a few others, the Deck Pod Pro is my go to for recording. Oddly instead of the pump and paddle float storage on the sides as is shown (and it was designed for), those pockets help secure my spare paddle!
I’ve seen how you use the deck pod pro for the spare paddles! I thought it was a great idea!
I heard of the debate between using a paddle lanyard, getting tangled up in it. But creating one that would break lose at a cerain point. Wonder if that would be something they'd be interested in creating ?
I’m sure they’re open for suggestions :)
That sure was interesting... I really enjoyed the tour... And the story on how you went from fishing to kayaking... We have the same issue with fishing ... Thanks for the awesome tour, Jim ✌️
Thanks Jim! It was really great to have the chance to visit them.
thanks for sharing this behind the door visit
Hope you enjoyed it!
Also, it cant fly in low light conditions.
I haven't tried it in low light conditions.. something I can try!
That will be a good test to try!
This makes me thinking of getting one of the newer GearLab paddles. I have two very early Akiak and it seems there is a big difference compared to the new ones. Now I'm waiting for part 3 😀😀
We can never have too many paddles right? haha
1:10, my go to paddle when surfing, the Aukaneck paddle ♥
I'm curious how it feels on the water.. How is it?
@@Fishaholicboy It feels strong & reliable (easy rolls and versus strong winds), ruclips.net/video/PYqg1-7sPWM/видео.htmlsi=kXvozUYyttSTlva-
I have a Malik as a spare paddle and for learning to roll, float bag and deck pod. Still haven't figured out rolling, after taking some rolling clinics...still on my bucket list.
I'm sure you'll get there soon! Once you get it the first time, then it becomes easier to learn other rolls. You never forget the first roll :)
Buddy this was so interesting, and the white paddle looked so cool. But the wide one looked strange not what you would expect, however I bet you could get some speed with it. Great video Buddy 👍👍
I loved the white paddle.. It would go well with my white Rebel kayak. The wide one is used for surfing and I didn't realise they made those types of paddles in the past.
@@Fishaholicboy No I had never seen one before.
I still have my Kayakid for surfing. I prefer the Kalleq for the opposite reasons you like the Kalleq. In advanced strokes, the wide oval loom means the contact patch on my hands changes and that decreases control of the paddle. The round loom also allows me to let the paddle find its path through the water - that the angle of the cant is variable through the stroke - something I find critical in more dynamic water. The lack of any shoulders allow for smoother sliding strokes.
Good points! I suppose our preference can change depending on the experience and conditions. I definitely am not there with advance paddles techniques yet!
I love the orange one too
I want it! haha
I don't know what I imagined the place would look like, computerized robots ? But seeing the hands on, one at a time approach, reminds me of raising a child. Had to dig my paddle out and look at it after watching this one. Can't wait for # 3...........
Lucky you. My drone just fell into the water and gone forever.
Oh no… did you have DJI care?
@ nope. I don’t think I would work.
Great review - thanks for your insights and clear explanations of the pros and cons.
Hope it helped!
nightmare. im shock when i watch u ....
I almost had a few heart attacks too 😂
Hey fish. I have a question. So you think a jumbo pool noodle cut in half and placed on either side of my hips would be a good hip brace? I find the yak to be tippy.
I think it could work! I don’t think they are too expensive so you can give it a try but it may be quite soft. I like EVA foam as it is harder.
The GPS, the camera, the sensors... everything is already inside the device but the Chinese IA inside the device is idiot. The palm is there... the person is on the right side and not on a bed... Everything is present to land correctly on the palm but no... this drone can't.
I suppose for that price we can’t have everything :) I’m just happy it’s so small
App and firmware are huge craps of DJI...
I need to update the firmware! Thanks for reminding me
Behind the scenes are always interesting.
Part 2 coming soon
Very nice to see! So Rockpool makes a 3 piece kayak, and I think the stainless clamps are on the outside.
Thanks for watching!
Certainly a great bunch of people to deal with and they take their gear very seriously.
Definitely… the devotion to their products is amazing
It happens to me it don’t land on my hand and my drone crashed lightly😁
Haha I was just lucky
Cool company, thanks for the video..
Welcome! More videos to come!
So lucky you got to visit them. They always seem down to earth. Can't wait for the three piece kayak! 😏😏😏
I can’t wait for the 3 piece too!
I see a new kayak in your future buddy. As someone who has a few things from Gear Labs this was very interesting. Looking forward to part 2 Great video my friend 👍👍 Beat you on one thing buddy Hehe, I knew about the logo because last time I purchased from them I asked about it.
I almost placed an order 😂 part 2 will come out soon.
@Fishaholicboy Have to say can't wait to see how the yak looks once it's completed.
It will be very interesting to see the next two parts.
Coming out soon!
Did not know they build kayaks too.
They haven’t launched it yet.. but will be soon!
Great video and great job stitching it together, I'm jealous you got to go........
Thanks Bill! It was an amazing experience. More to come
@@Fishaholicboy can't wait
Part 2, we want to see the bloopers when Chung Shih broke the kayak!
Haha unfortunately he didn’t have any footage of that session. Next video will be more about the Greenland paddles :)
I want that 3 piece kayak
Will be available soon!
As a kayak fisherman, I would like to thank you about this review. I'm gonna wait for some new updates.
Happy this video helped!
How do you get a fishing license in Hong Kong? Is it okay to use a Dutch passport for it?
Hi.. no need any fishing license unless you fish the freshwater reservoirs. You can fish saltwater without any license
@@Fishaholicboy Oh nice! But for freshwaters, do you think my Dutch pasport wil be able to get me a fishing license? I've heard Hong Kong has big mouth bass.
This I am not so sure.. I applied for the license before and had to have an HK ID card to register.
Nature is neosporin for the soul.
Definitely!
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Very good Keep going🤗
Thanks!
I'm so in love with the scenery
I wouldn't know of these places if I didn't kayak. I love how kayaking has given me the opportunity to explore
The scenery is amazing!
