Welcome back. As with all your followers I enjoy your videos both regarding portable kayaks for those of us living in cities with no storage and also your honest and genuine approach to learning to kayak, rolling, and how to share with friends and companions. Living in NYC, I too have a Pakayak and ordered a Trak 2.0. Both make it possible to have genuinely capable sea kayaks that store and transport easily. Sorry to hear about your long wait for the Trak. I purchased mine in May 2023 and received confirmation from Trak that my kayak is built and will ship sometime in late April. Effectively a year after purchase. They seem to be improving production post pandemic but a year is still a very long time to wait for a not inexpensive kayak. I’m very much looking forward to getting it out on the water this Spring. Keep us up to speed on your progress with it.
Hello! Seems like we are in similar circumstances with space and also going through similar journeys with the acquisition of folding kayaks! It’s really great that the lead time of the Trak has reduced.. 1 year is much better than 2.5 years. You’ll receive it soon and I’m sure you’ll enjoy it!
Been missing content from you, Kayak Hipster, and other YT paddlers. Glad to see you posting again. I get my Trak (hopefully) next month! Have fun out there!
Woohoo! You must be so excited to get your Trak! How long did you wait for? By the way, thanks for mentioning my channel along side of Kayak Hipster! I love his channel lots.
@@Fishaholicboy Ordered July 2022! And there have been numerous delays! The last I heard from Nolin is next month. But as you well know...I'm not holding my breath! Looking forward to hearing about your Trak rolling experience!
@@Fishaholicboy Haha! Not at the moment as I have already did my 7th last year, and my place is filled. But I have a few Greenland paddle projects in the pipeline though.
Good job with Assembly. When you do start to roll, it's fairly easy in this kayak. Just keep. your PFD handline. Your in line hand close to the. close to the vest..
Thanks! I’ll trying rolling soon and thanks for the tip. I’m still learning the basics of rolling and I hope the Trak will be much easier than the Pakayak to roll
@@Fishaholicboy The only full kit i know about is the "NORTIK KAYAK SAIL". U can get it for inflatable- and hardshell hulls. Can't imaginate it would be easy to use without any counterweights or something.
Very happy to be back on the water.. although I did sell the Pakayak 😅 loved it to bits but I couldn’t store so many. I can still borrow my friends Pakayak though
@@Fishaholicboy OMG I can't believe you sold the PakAyaK, however I'm sure you will have plenty of fun trips with your new jigsaw puzzle boat lol Anyway, glad to see you're back, and looking forward to watching your adventures.
Welcome back! I've never tried kayaking, but I've been enjoying your videos for years. Thanks to you, I've started enjoying fishing in Hong Kong occasionally. Can't wait for your next awesome video!
Hey hey! I follow the your channel and really enjoy watching your videos!! Didn't realise you were watching my vids too haha. Are you still in Hong Kong? Your latest videos were of you in Japan.
Your comment really touched me. It's obvious that my channel has been modeled after yours, from the Huerco rod to the Shimano reel, and even adopting the same green color scheme, haha! The first fishing video I shot in Hong Kong was inspired by a location you featured in one of your videos. Since then, I've watched almost all of your content, including the kayaking videos, and used your scripts as references. Our situations are quite similar; I also have bases in Hong Kong and Australia, and although I now live in Tokyo. Maybe like you, I've been busy and haven't posted videos for almost a year. But recently, I've started fishing again in a nearby river and plan to get back into making videos. Anyway, I'm happy to see you back on RUclips!
Welcome back. Ive been looking at this one or the Pakayak but the long set up time is big factor. I live in an area with smaller lakes so long set up time for only a couple hour paddle seams not worth it.
I would say if you’re only paddling for a few hours, get the Pakayak. The Trak takes a lot longer to clean than the Pakayak.. but if you’re using it in freshwater, I would say you don’t need to be as thorough as I use my kayaks in saltwater.
I have had the Trak 2.0 on my list for some time but honestly having to potentially wait YEARS for something you have already paid A LOT for is actually WILD in my opinion. It's the one thing that is very likely going to disqualify the Trak 2.0 for me personally when it comes down to making a new kayak purchase here in a couple of months. I would have to actually get assured by the company that they guaranteed WILL have a kayak for me shipped when it's advertised.
I think this is the same reason why many people didn’t order the Trak and I completely get you. I only read about the delays after my purchase in kayaking forums out there. Now that I have it, I will try and enjoy it as much as I can!
Definitely won’t be as fast as the Tucktec and Pakayak. The pakayak took me about 15 mins the first time round as I was very delicate with it.. didn’t want anything to break 😂
Welcome back 🫂: SO glad you finally got the TRAK... 💪 IMO it is "night and day" compared to the Pakyak... I have tested both and I CANT STAND the weight and the "slowness" of the Pakayak... I even had the Pakyak LEAK💦 on me -- so I see it as a safety🛟 issue too ❗
Thanks! The Pakayak leaked?? oh no.. hope you were safe. The Trak is definitely faster and lighter though the cleaning takes me much longer 😂😂 however im enjoying it lots!
Welcome back! Glad to see you're back kayaking, and I'm happy to see you're making videos again.😊
Thank you! I'm happy to be back on the water where I belong. Hope you're doing well!
Lovely boat and great to see you back on the water.

Really glad you're back on youtube! What do you do with the rolling bag? Do you put it inside the assembled Trak?
