One of the biggest issues with the abandoned Miata was the old soft top, the glass window had totally fallen out and exposed the interior to the elements for over a year! This wasn't as bad of a job as I was expecting and it really saved me a lot of money! Interesting! All the stories I’ve heard were older ones like mine so I believe that!
I’ve had no complaints. Had a 5 puck unsprung setup with a 7.5LB flywheel on my 99 AWD CRV. Drove it about 102k, mudding, climbing on 32” tires and sold it. Still going! Nothing but love. A good clutch break in goes a looong way.

@@tonycrispin I find that really really hard to believe. There is a nation wide shortage and everywhere is charging in or around 10-14 a lb. I run nitrous and the cheapest place to me that has it in Ohio is jegs at $10. Which is well over an hour away so the 2 per pound isnt worth the 2 hr round trip.
@@Crodgers88 the hot rod shop by my house charges $12 which is pretty average, you’re right about that! Thankfully I drive in a series sponsors by a nitrous supply company so they hook drivers up at $5/lb lol

I need to do a new clutch in my z as well and I have little time. Do you think drilling through the trans tunnel from inside the car to get access to those bolts will work?
It would have to be through both firewalls, I don’t think it would be worth it lol!

Definitely not 🤣🤣. There not hard to get to with a the right tools. You’ll spend longer with a drill than you will getting the bolts out 🤣
About to be .4 lbs in Lexan though so that a win. About to do this same thing to my z and run some naca ducts to the rear rad
Yea that will be my plan when the car gets a rear rad, but lexan for now!

Yes! I pulled the car out in the sun when it was 105* outside and let it bake all day, then pulled it closed and it latched fine 😂
