I remember this meal well. Stationed at Ft. Ord, Monterrey CA with the 7th ID (Light). We were allowed to have our own campstoves. Crumble the beef patty with some ramen and water, cook it up and squeeze the cheese on top with hot sauce. It was delicious to 20 yr old me!

alot of those products are actually made in new zealand, the company are pretty awesome, if you order enough they make your MREs to your spec

Nice review... literally I just had 1 of these at the cottage 2 days ago but mine came with bbq sauce instead of buffalo sauce and pretzel sticks and bbq corn nuts instead of cranberries. I actually enjoyed the ration just wish it came with a better side than just snacks. Looking forward to the next review

Don't eat the oil with the tuna! It's only for conservation, and a little flavour, may be, but it is not supposed to be eaten. Just strain the tuna and go ahead. About the tastes in general, we in Spain are not very much into strong spicing. We are more into the natural taste of the different kinds of food.

I don't know how rare it is, but there is an Italian MRE, 24 Hour ration, Module B with liquor.

Leverpostei (Liverpaté) tastes like wet dogfood smells :P Deeeelicious!

Here in the South African military we still get tinned "rat packs". Only our special forces get MREs.

I remember I kept trying to review the tuna MRE and they kept giving me chicken chunks, haha. Finally after 4 attempts.. I got TUNA!

RSP tin cans from the 90s were the best! Heat it and put ketchup on it! Nothing beats that! I almost want to buy a box for 25 dollars to get that taste again, but last I ate it was in 2003 and I'm not sure it's safe to eat anymore! 😛

We Norwegians typically do drink coffee just straight black - sometimes we add milk, but very rarely creamer or sugar. I guess that's what makes us the 2nd biggest consumer of coffee in the world (per capita) :D Oh, and the liver pâte is a very common topping on bread for kids in school etc.

It appears the government is ready to write off diabetics with this ration because of the high sugar content.
