I hope NPR Tiny Desk will feature some UK R&B too! SWV discography is one of the best catalog in R&B, the albums, the singles are well written, arranged and produced. Brian Alexander Morgan wrote and produced all their hits in their first album It's About Time, Taj and Coko co-wrote You're The One and Lelee co-wrote Don't Waste Your Time in their New Beginning album, Rain for me is their best song overall.

Let’s face it if your not English and of a certain age would these lyrics on this album make much sense? It is a superb album if you understand it fully…

People have always loved to hate on #9, but I always liked it (even at 14 when this was new) BECAUSE it’s so weird. Had to figure out what was going on 😏 It is art made of sound. Sound art. Conceptual art was huge at the time and post-modernism (can mix styles) was gaining traction John was exposed to the avant garde art world by Yoko, and it fascinated him.

This band is actually one of the seminal punk bands. Here's the leader, Jonathan Richman, being interviewed at the beginning of this episode of the history of rock and roll put out by PBS. As a child born into the 70's, I have no idea where music has gone. It all seems so bland but it maybe my age. The Beatles albums are sublime, exciting, still intersting and changed the world.

One of my all time favorite Floyd songs on one of their best albums.

Congratulations, you have just finished listening to the best album of all time. No go back and listen to it again another 300, 400, or 500 times like the rests of us have. It just gets better and better.

About five years ago, ten of my friends were working on a car one evening. The conversation got around to the question, you can only listen to one album for the rest of your life, which would choose? There were ten different answers. I said Abby Road. Immediately six others other changed their vote to this one. They had forgotten just how great it really is.

It took me a month to get past the first four songs on this album when it came out. I had a movie playing in my head that ran through those songs and as soon as the fourth song was over, I needed to go back and restart track one. OK Computer may be the better album overall, but Kid A is my favorite.

Radiohead are the Beatles and the Pink Floyd of a certain generation, I think their music is relative to the social context of the time.

if you want to get a good feel as to why so many of us think Radiohead is right up there with bands like the Beatles and Pink Floyd try the two live in the studio sessions they did from the basement. Both shows are incredible and the In Rainbows session has songs from Kid A and Hail To The Thief as well. There are no copyright issues with the In Rainbows session either so you don't have to chop it up. The other session for the King Of Limbs does have copyright issues so be warned.

Kanye said this record had a big impact on him then thom ghosted him at the grammys and he was pissed.
