I'm looking into becoming a BCBA I already have my BA and my RBT. I have worked mostly with adults. I tried working with children but I burnt out extremely quickly. The company was extremely micromanaging and made me discouraged. Any advice? Also any programs you recommend?

This is reassuring. I have an education/teaching background with some early intervention experience. Currently working in ed and behavioral health consulting but want to pursue BCBA credential. I have no desire to work in a clinic and I want to be able to create multiple streams of income as well. This is sooooo helpful and such confirmation!

I have a bachelors and masters in Anthropology. Anthropology relates to human behavior so I'm assuming it'll still count rather than getting a masters in ABA or psychology. The plan was to never go into ABA. I didn't even know what it was until I got a part time job as a RBT for some income... but then I fell in love with the job!! Now I'm trying to figure out my next steps. I'm assuming my next steps are: 1. Continue getting RBT experience 2. Finish BCBA coursework (QUESTION: is the BCBA coursework like going to school to get another degree? How long does it take? How expensive??) 3. Take the BCBA exam Please serious answers... is there anything I'm missing?? I'm stressing out because I'm trying to picture a clear direction that I can go forward with. I started taking to 2 BCBAs and their routes to becoming a BCBA are different.

Hello 🤍 Thank you so much for your videos. It’s so inspiring, especially since you are a black woman in the field. Truly inspire me to keep on going and reach my goal to be a BCBA🥳 Recently gave birth, working at Action Behavior Center. All ABA centers have their flaws, but this company is not bad (in my opinion). I was able to get a paid maternity leave for about 12 weeks and I was celebrated before leaving and they celebrated me when I came back. My pumping sessions are factored in my schedule & they accommodate me with well with any need I have. There was also a bonus for coming back as a parent just because they wanted to show their appreciation.

Once you have uploaded all 32 CEUs including the ethics and supervision, how long does it take for the recertification tab to pop up?

I don’t necessarily agree because I’m not a physician and i own several medical spa clinics , home health and urgent cares , and telehealth companies each bringing in 7 figures each . Most owners of clinics and medical practices are not medical professionals.

How do you opt for concentrated program? Does it depend on the grad school you choose?

If CADQ is required for credentialing doesn’t that lock out non-BCBAs from starting this business?

Awe, wish you the best..❤ sometime God has to put us on pause not for our benefit, but has benefit. Just think of it as decision resting. Yes you have a lot of things to do. Yes, you had a lot of things that we’re going on, but take this time to recuperate and recover mentally and spiritually.
