All over you tube couldn't t find one tutorial showing how import STL and then make the model double the size...or reduce the size of a certain part...everyone is only adding holes...is it that freecad does not have that feature and you guys are avoiding it ?

How do you make those dovetail faces?

OMG there was one critical thing I didn't know which had been making this impossible. I didn't know you could move the perimeter around of the construction geometry in the mapped sketch! I was pulling my hair out trying to figure out how to get the sketch exactly where I wanted it. Thank you!

Hi thanks for a very helpful video. I can get this to work but only at 9600 baud. I've tried changing the Ardino sketch and the MIT App to both faster and slower baud rates but only 9600 will work. Others return odd characters insteasd of the sum. Any ideas on what I can try next?

I developed a variation of MIT program. It definitely sends the data to Arduino which I have tested. I have tested the Arduino program which shows that it has sent the data to phone. That is where I ran out of luck. Phone does not seem to receive the Serial data. Any suggestions!

Hi, how did you create the dovetail with the thick lines? the print i did had no tolerance because i made the dovetail thin, and i had to use sandpaper to get it to fit.

Great technique similar work has been done at Stanford University where they have made graded materials where in a single part you have variable stiffness.

If I try to add a simple shape using this method I can get it to "extrude" out but when I want to have go inward like a pocket it just does nothing. Am I doing something wrong? Like if I make thickness a negative number. It doesn't give me an error message it just simple doesn't do anything looks flat to the surface.

Lovely design for a gearbox, but is there any chance we could get f3d or STEP files for it? STLs are painfully hard to modify, and I want to adapt this gearbox to my purposes.

Question to understand arduino portion: Everytime it loops back to the next index in the array is it reading the next value the app is sending and setting that index to that read value? For example, once it reads 255 and stores 255 in the first index, it reads the button state and stores it in the second index of the array?
