Greetings to everyone, bored_tech is here!
My main occupation is an AV technician and I work in the events industry across the UK and Internationally. In early 2020 when the world was struck by a global pandemic and the whole events industry stood still, I was temporarily out of work and I was so bored that I decided to start a this Channel.
When I was a teenager, I used to love watching TV series like “How Stuff Works” on the Discovery channel. Inspired by these shows I thought that there might be people who were curious about what was inside the home cinema equipment and who were interested in how it worked.
So I took my Blu-ray player then the AV pre-amplifier and the receiver and made my first teardown videos. I was surprised how much attention these videos received. That motivated me, so I bought a few more units which I used to produce more teardown videos. I’m happy to produce more videos but at this point I want you to help me.

Thanks for the great video. I have a phono preamp with balanced inputs. Can I connect only hot and cold for each channel from the turntable into the xlr connector therefore there would be just two wires into each xlr connector. Thanks for any help

It's a very good question. Most movies shot on film are scanned, edited digitally and later printed back on film. That's why it is called "Digital Intermediate". On IMDB there is no information about DI of Oppenheimer.
So nu true balance in out on Marantz products?

There is no such thing as a digital IMAX movie. Not yet, at least. 70mm IMAX film is approximately 12K resolution, digital cannot be considered IMAX until it can match its resolution.

At $765/min ($600 GBP), each frame of 60mm IMAX film costs about $0.40, and each second $12.75. Damn, no wonder digital is completely taking over.
Also take it in account that only about 1/3 of a footage ends up in a movie.

I always preference the Dolby Atmos environment just from a psychological perspective, yet I'm dying to experience Imax in this Waterloo based complex.

@@boredtech It's certainly not that Kim but there is always a percentage of our viewers who will drop off because they've grown tired of us. But the inevitable changes to RUclips's backbone will generate problems on occasion and we just need to get through them. I don't think the latest changes have helped me so they surely haven't helped you. We're not alone. I could see through my own feed to my smart telly that everything had changed and I was no longer having my usual channels recommended. You've certainly dropped off from there but I'll get it fixed and then you'll be recommended again every time you upload a new video. It's frustrating but we'll learn to work with it as time goes on. @@moviecollector5920 One recipe that definitely works is to release videos more often. Unfortunately when you are looking after 4 month old baby it is hard to do.
@@boredtech That's a very good point Kim. I don't think it's realistic to do more than I already put out. And it's certainly not possible for you to do heavy productions like this one regularly. Like me, you probably don't want to lower your production standards either. It's a conundrum.

Why not Blu-Ray drives they store original like copies without any audio and video compression.
HDD is more reliable and why fix something if it's not broken.
