Hugh Fraser as Hastings was (is) marvellous. When he's missing, his absence is felt - deeply. 💜💜💜
I grew up watching Poirot, so he and the rest of the cast will always remain in my memory and heart.
It was such a pleasure to watch the interview and learn all that about Poirot series. Fun fact: I see the game "Articulate!" behind Mr Philip's back and it seems that he also is learning German.
I say.
Interesting to hear my old friend Bernard speaking
Actually in Dubai there is even LGBTQ tourism because that Sultan looks the other way. Dubai is the Las Vegas of Arabia.
I saw a comment on RUclips someone saying they have mission to the unknown
Why is she not on screen?
He's fit
William des Préaux was my 25th great grandfather. Richard had to ransom him out of jail.
Amber alert was placed on the Doctor. Did anyone else in the US catch that?
Hugh is so suave and the real deal as Captain Hastings. ❤
Just rewatched this, totally agree with Paul’s comments on the show’s escalating obsession with its own continuity. It’s killing the show. Ironically, the episodes from the 60s seem like a breath of fresh air when compared to a lot of the modern era stuff.
Still say Hugh Fraser ❤the best...sorry to say better than David Suchet.
Great Band, love ShoWaddyWaddy
Loved him in "Hercule Poirot." I've incorporated some of his signature idioms into my repertoire, one of which is "I sayyyyyy." He has this wonderful way of drawing out a word. Thank you Hugh Fraser for so many enjoyable hours watching you and David Suchet on Poirot!
One of the best narrators ever! ❤
Stunning lady at the intro looks uncannily like the late Nicola Pagget!
Oh, I so wish they were all back together. Wonderful , each one!!
Love Pauline Moran’s portrayal of Miss Lemon! How nice to learn more about her many talents and interesting life. Since we weren’t privileged to get to see her in this interview, I was able to really appreciate what a beautiful voice she has - and her diction & vocal variety was perfect. Very pleased to listen to.
Hugh Fraser - what a multi talented man! Thank you for bringing out all the facets of his talents. You’re a good interviewer. (And I enjoyed hearing Mr Fraser’s birds tweeting in the background. And speaking of background, Mr Fraser standing in front of a totally white background was very effective.)
Good interview: intelligent questions and intelligent answers. I like the give and take between the two of you. You really listen to each other.
How great to see Philip Jackson as himself. What a great sense of humor! And of course I love, love, love his Inspector Japp!
Rip
RIP David Graham
I hope Hugh knows how much he is loved with his audio readings for those of us of a certain age who rely on audio on our iPads. Thank you Mr. Fraser, some of us prefer the audio to the TV series and I personally prefer him readings these to Suchet’s readings.
U really cheered me Terry after a depressing day , walking on a roundabout looking for a bus stop which I couldn’t find . I went to Tunbridge Wells to have look at the Spa valley line train. It was a class 50031, and a squadron steam train , I’m also a train enthusiast Terry .
I have loved her since Teachers. We share the same birthday!
Great singer and entertainer, and we first met on the set of Casualty
Shame the Big Finish productions weren't discussed as they are, IMO, Terry's best performances as Davros. Particularly Terror Firma where he needs to keep switching between the Davros and Emperor Dalek personas.
My favorite Japp moment was in Dead Man’s mirror…….when he asked how he could get in touch with Safra……..meeting on the plane……
Excellent casting…….brilliant actor
I’ll say…
its still mad to think as much as i loved patrick troughton as an actor and he is my fave doctor, its mad that he lived a double life with a whole other family, i do feel for his other family members hurt by him.
Jaqui was the hottest woman of the sixtiesseventies and eighties!!!
This sounds awesome in billions of ways
I do say much as Servalan was both the arch-enemy and also the principal villain in B7 she was and IMO still is the ultimate female arch-enemy and arch-villain ever in sci-fi and also as a female villain arch-enemy and returning arch-villain Servalan outshines all the female villains ever seen in classic Dr Who and also the Borg Queen in STNG and also she is the one principal character in Blake,s Seven to be in all 4 seasons f B7 along with the two crewmembers from he Liberator and the Scorpio Vila Restal and Kerr Avon only those 3 principal characters stay in all 4 series of B7 unlike many others who were only in series A to C Gan died in series B and Blake and Jenna departed offscreen in series C and Cally died offscreen in series D and by series D of B7 it was IMO no longer B7 anymore we had lost the awesome ship the Liberator and its master computer Zen and thought in series C we gained two entirely new crewmembers for the Liberator in the form of Del Tarrant and Dayna Mellanby and in series D we gain an entirely new ship the Scorpio which was later a car name by Ford the Ford Scorpio was basically an upmarket version of the Ford Granada and also the ship the Scorpio had a master computer Slave a name I did not like and also a new female character Soolin joined the crew of the Scorpio. I am afraid to say that Blake,s Seven was not any longer the series it started out to be.
I didn't like Joan Hickson in previous roles at all. But she was perfect as Miss Marple. I don't think anyone will be able to surpass her . I didn't like Josphine in that role at all . K
David Gooderson in Destiny of the Daleks, as well as playing the villain Davros also voiced Daleks in the same story.
Blud looks like Steven from Doctor Who.
He’ll always be Bob Buzzard to me. A fantastic portrayal of an egomaniac.
Reg Whitehead and Harry Brooks who played original Cybermen, with Gregg Palmer in the 10th Planet have sadly died .
I like this interview and David Gooderson is one actor, I would like to meet in billions of ways.
Excellent interview. June is such an iconic costume designer. Today I saw a couple of designs she did for Are You Being Served? back in 1972. As June says, the real golden age of TV coincided with her tenure at the BBC.
I absoutley love Hugh Fraser as he reads Agatha Christie books. I can no longer read print so it is such a great treat to listen to Hugh. He is a master at imitating voices and accents. He is a wonder and my favourite. Joan Hickson comes a close second although she can be an acquired taste - she was the very best Miss Marple on television, I must add.
Ghost Light is one of the worst? The data's been corrupted.
I'm glad that his came up in my feed today, even though it's 4 years old. I just had to say... I have a son, and his name is Patrick. And if you look at my username here, you'll know why. I know it's "just" idolisation on my behalf, but Patrick still means a lot to me...
Jon Pertwee takes the credit for persuading Pat to go to conventions
Wonderful William and Anneke. What a lovely interview.
Inspector Japp Just wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed your performance in Hercule Poirot. “Mushy peas 🫛” I LOVE IT!!
