There will always be trends. I think that's how humans are built. But the chase after them can be quite exhausting at times. The Mocha Mousse shade skews, at least in my opinion, towards minimalism. I've been seeing it a lot lately, even before it was announced as color of the year, at mid range stores like Massimo Dutti, which have a more minimalist style. It will be interesting to see how this quite subdued color will be incorporated into more maximalist styles. I really hope that 2025 will finally be boho year, but not mid 2010's boho but 1970s boho. Can't wait. Same about mod inspired fashion. I love 1960s fashion so much, but so far, I've been seeing the more preppy early 60s look in stores like H&M. I feel like the more edgy Mod inspired looks have only appeared on the runways so far. Designer pieces are way over my budget, so I'm waiting for the cool designs from more affordable brands.

A bit expensive for a teacher's salary back in the 90's, but if I could get a sale item - love. Cotton - the fabric of our lives. The slogan of the cotton industry. Absolutely true. Glad I found you. I love Farm Rio, but it’s hard to find natural fibers when shopping their fall and winter collections. I cannot justify that price point for acrylic/polyester blends. 🫠

Ok I am just going to say this... If you can't tell something is old then there might be something wrong with you lol. Everything used to be much better quality and thicker fabrics.. Like everything has changed.

Your comments about wool are wrong. You must not be an outdoors person lol. I'm picky when I buy from Old Navy but I can find clothing that works for me. Mostly I have to buy online to find what I'm looking for. But the pieces I buy have held up.

Their nonstretch jeans (2% spandex or less) are totally worth the 20$ I pay for them. I got 3 of the high rise wide legs this year, and they’re just awesome. The butt pockets are placed perfectly (I hate when they’re too far apart) and just chef’s kiss on me.

How annoying is that? I don’t like the fit of men’s clothes on me, particularly shirts, but that’s because I haven’t tried many men’s jeans. Also, I think I would have been able to connect with you more if you hadn’t been wearing sunglasses, but that’s not a big deal. I hope I continue to find quality fabrics in the women’s section, I always look out for them, but I see so much plastic around nowadays. 😔

I don't understand getting upset that woven fabrics are, indeed, woven. Not do I understand referring to knitwear as woven. Sequined items from after 1980 being hand sewn (besides Bob Mackie and the like)? No. My little curatorial heart hurts.

I want to counter your statement abut the jewelry - Anthropologie jewelry is GARBAGE, extremely cheap, fragile, and rarely wears well. I used to work at Anthro way back in 2008, and their quality has definitely declined. I also don't get the hype about Farm Rio - it's very cute and generally well-constructed, but it's usually entirely polyester, which is a no for me.

I pick and choose from ON and most of the time, I do pretty well. Some of my closet staples are ON, like their denim jackets, for instance. Classic fit, if you want it oversized, just size up. This past year, I loved the satin midi skirts, the quality was very good. Sweaters are mostly a miss though, as I find they pill. The jeans don't fit me because I need a longer rise. Dynamic fleece is very good.

Wal-Mart's clothes do not last for the most part. I have a black raincoat type jacket I bought there about 25 years ago, but that is a real exception. I don't even try there anymore.

My go to for denim is 98% cotton, 2% spandex. Those jeans have lasted over 10 years, while those with poly stretch out after 2 or so

I'm glad I'm not the only person who reads all the ingredients in the clothes when I go shopping.

A big chunk of Anthropologie clothes are designed knowing that the consumer won't buy until it hits athe sale rack or is available with a discount. They sell very little at full price anymore.

Great idea for a series. I’d like to suggest Banana Republic. Over the past few years the prices have gone up but they always offer sales. It’s a mall brand , easy shopping, easy returns. They advertise wool, cashmere, suede, leather products. Might be worth a look. Thanks

The sweaters available for sale now are crap. They are all polyester. It is like wearing plastic. Hot and not breathable. I can not wear fleece. It is plastic. Does not breathe. Just put some of these garments on and go out and shovel your driveway. You will quickly find out which fabric is comfortable and which isn't.

I wanted a fleece thingy but everything is very cheaply made from the most gag inducing polyester🤢 when i touched it i alsmost felt it on my teeth ughh🤢🤢🤢

My favorite value jeans come from Old Navy but I agree, they have to be the 95% + cotton ones. I cannot stand jeans that have that spandex feel personally.

I have 2 of the Scoop blazers (black and tan) LOVE them they really are great, and the pockets are just sewn down for shipping purposes so they can be easily opened by popping the stitches and the pockets are there so yes get the blazers and coat and tee shirts for sure. Online is always restocking items so look there as well
