On my first playthrough, I got genuine shellshock from this intro

What gets to me most about this mission, is that final shot with John looking at the sunrise while resting on the fence could've been the end to his story. He could've lived quietly on that ranch with his family for the rest of his life, and the world would've forgotten about him. Instead he chose to avenge Arthur because John thought he owed it to him for the second chance at life he was given, which of course leads to RDR1. Arthur always said revenge is fool's game, and pleaded John to not look back, but John couldn't look forward without getting revenge because a future wouldn't have been possible without his brother's sacrifice. So beautifully tragic and the soundtrack accompanies that feeling perfectly.

You really don't fully appreciate this song until you realize it's burned into your brain after dozens of hours wandering in the game. American Venom, Fleeting Joy are some of the best but this one needs to be considered up S tier as well. Red Dead Redemption 2 truly is one of the greatest gaming experiences of all time.

As it comes closer it gradually slows down, to the point that it almost matches with your own horse. You can feel the rider coming closer.
