    • @headrace4863
      @headrace4863 2 месяца назад

      Quite normal for most Kawasaki, they’re over cooled in road trim. You’ll find the fan kicks in about 1/3 the way up the gauge. When they’re raced they don’t run a cooling fan or thermostats so can get a bit warmer. They’ll boil over around 2/3 up the guage unless you run waterless coolant.

Off road, I have no idea as that’s not something I’d normally do. I’m sure the ATAS would be in a different league to the vfr, however. The equipment levels and engine management are vastly superior on the ATAS, for sure. Wow interesting choice, are you planning on going off road? would be great for those not fully off road but gravel paths that sometimes take you to amazing out of the way places. Would be really interested also to have an opinion on the Triumph Tiger 1050 sport, I love that bike, I don't know why, but what can I say, hesitant about buying a non Japanese bike. Have looked at the Kawasaki Versys 1000 but I don't know, the Triumph has character.

      Thanks for your kind comment. Plan is to use this on exactly as you say not off off road but gravel tracks etc especially around the forest where I live and in wales/scotland etc. 1050 sport is an awesome bike, more of an adventure “styled” bike than an adventure bike in actuality but largely faultless and with the lovely triple engine, a great choice. Cheap as well. 👍👍

    'The last model before ABS became optional" is incorrect. The 06-07 rr6/rr7 still came without ABS or traction control and no option to have it either.

    Ha, just after you said about shutting up and concentrating a bit, I knew I recognised that sweeping left off the roundabout! Do that route regularly and that one plus the one continuing the 36 are favourites of mine :D In fact, this video was posted about the same time I got my 06, bloody cracking bike. Curious, where do you take it to the track? Have yet to see what's actually local and beginner-friendly.

      Get a certificate of conformity from Honda 😉🫡 these definitely meet ULEZ. They were just idiots and did it off the year & euro standard not the actual emissions

    Hi mate I am replacing mine with a dct crosstourer. It comes with full highlander spec and Honda fitted akropovic . The engine and build quality is hard to find out there . Yes it’s a pity Honda will not bring out another v4 but Ducati can do it and meet the standards for emissions.

    • @headrace4863
      @headrace4863 3 месяца назад

      Fair point, well made. I can only assume the challenges of getting the Honda V4 through euro 5 was not possible due to the age/design of the motor. The Ducati one being developed with forward compatibility in mind from around 2020 ish? Good point though and enjoy the ‘bike. 👍

As for seat height, they are all very comfortable for anyone who is 6ft and taller.
