Why a "Swirl Free Wash" is Dumb [ Exterior Detail ] #detailing #cardetailing #autodetailing
Do not misinterpret it, there are times to detail the vehicle carefully, but there are also moments where a Swirl Free Wash detailing process is unnecessary and can mess up your habits if taken too literal. This video will describe my whole exterior detailing process and why I believe the Swirl Free Wash process is a waste of time, product, and contradicts itself.

How I Maintain a Ceramic Coating [ 9 Month Update ] #detailing #cardetailing #autodetailing
Просмотров 6307 месяцев назад
This is how I would perform a ceramic coating maintenance detail. To maintain a ceramic coating, while not difficult, there are some things to look out for in the long term. Every couple of months to a year a ceramic coating maintenance detail must be performed to maintain the integrity of the coating. Like a clogged surface, failure, or other impurities being stuck on. In this video I show how...

    Hi Cardos.. are you still using a dedicated bug remover? Or does the APC rinse handle them?

      No bug removers, just APC 👍 There werent any severely stuck on bugs, so everything just got knocked off with ease

    Install a t instead of the elbow with another valve so you dont have to unscrew that elbow everytime.

    • @CardosCarDose
      @CardosCarDose 9 дней назад

      once it is properly primed, you do not need to unscrew it. This was just a demonstration. 👍 A T fitting can also help if you would like to fill up your buckets or other containers with water.

    Looking at getting a kranzle but my budget is not high enough for the one you have but I can afford the 1050p - will it still work the same or would it need to be the same machine ?

    • @CardosCarDose
      @CardosCarDose 28 дней назад

      Most pressure washers can certainly be gravity fed! As long as you follow the instructions and keep the tank leveled or slightly above the machine you will be perfectly fine 👍

    • @Kxrzmaa
      @Kxrzmaa 28 дней назад

      Do you mean to keep the water level higher than the machine or the actual tank ? @CardosCarDose

    • @CardosCarDose
      @CardosCarDose 28 дней назад

      @Kxrzmaa Both 👍 The tank should be either leveled or higher than the machine. As for water in the tank, there should always be at least 15 gallons inside, so there is enough downward gravity to push the water into the machine 👍

    • @Kxrzmaa
      @Kxrzmaa 28 дней назад

      @CardosCarDose my tank is about roughly 1ft maybe in difference I can't get it much higher with my van setup would that be okay obviously I could add another bit of distance by putting it out onto the floor beside my van I guess to help

    • @CardosCarDose
      @CardosCarDose 28 дней назад

      @Kxrzmaa You do not have to raise it so high. I only lifted mine about 1.5 to 2 inches and that is more than enough for the gravity to naturally push the water downward.

    Cardo, I saw the same issue with Gyeon Mohs Evo 3 yr coating on the Hood of my car as well even after decontaminating it. Not sure why it did not hold up as it has on the rest of the vehicle. Possible reasons, Heat from the Engine, or the brunt of everything when driving? As its going on 2yrs since I applied it. I may try Pan's Clean Coating next.

    • @CardosCarDose
      @CardosCarDose 29 дней назад

      Basic aerodynamics can show that any horizontal surface will show severe signs of degradation for a coating. That means the roof and hood. I did not show it on camera, but it was a similar story on the hood. This isnt a Gyeon issue, this can happen to any coating on any car. There is really nothing we can do about it as it depends heavily on the driver's habits. Tip? Wash it more frequently 😂

      This does not apply to all chemicals and you certainly need to do your research on which you are using. In general, most wheel finishes are safe enough to use acid.
