Stopped into a local shop last week that i aint been to in years and typically always overlook, and they had so many special corys you hardly see elsewhere!! I picked up Punctatus, Sterbai, and i guess CW027. THE CRAZY PART?! Every cory was only $8.99!!!! So i got sterbai and the others for $8.99. They also had what looked like black Venezuelan, but couldnt tell if they were just really dark Emeralds. They also had a chubby black cory with a little yellow in the pectoral fin should area. Wished id have gotten him, he was all they had. I may have to go back soon.

What kind of fish and how many would you recommend for a 9.25 inch by 9.25 inch by 9.25 inch tanks?

Ropefish can be taught to eat dry tubifex worms cubes rather easily. I had 2 for many years they are very smart and when they heard me open the lid they poked their heads out if they saw me grab food they would rush out and wait till I threw the food in. Then they would snag a cube quickly before anyone else could.

I have some Millennium Rainbows ugly as sin for a year then the color starts creeping in and man when that color finally finishes in its amazing. Well worth the wait for one of the most beautiful rainbow fish. I keep them with Turquoise, Boesmani, Parkinsoni rainbows, as well as Roseline barbs, cherry Barbs and Cardinal tetras in my 120 gallon planted tank.

Actually there have been documented cases of the candiru swimming up someone's penis. It was on an episode of Jeremy Wades River Monsters.

Wow, I cannot imagine paying $30.00 per panda loach. In China, we can get them for less than $3.00. That international shipping really drives the price up! Also, they're not a seasonal fish, but collecting them is a seasonal hobby, just like most other hillstream loaches. Where I live, we probably have about half a dozen hillstream loach species. They're in the rivers all year, but the water isn't always easy to wade in or clear enough to see where the fish are.

I think the Teugelsi Bichir and some of the Lapradei with the nice dark olive green patterns are some of the nicest looking Bichirs. One thing I did not here you mention about the Bichirs or the Rope fish is that they actually breathe air from the top of the water, This is another reason they "escape" so often and you should have tight fitting lids.

Why would you use LEAD ? You will contaminate the water, and make your fish sick ? Lead is TOXIC and leaches into the water column . Use river rocks or non toxic resin rocks that are certified aquarium safe and tie with thread or aquarium safe glue . LEAD WEIGHTS ? omg NO NO NO GASP !

Love the video 😎👍🏾 but the Pleco you called Trinidad Pleco is not from Trinidad and Tobago, Trinidad has 2 species of pleco the Hypostomus robinii and the Ancistrus trinitati the one you show is definitely not a Ancistrus trinitati and even though it looks similar it's not a Hypostomus robinii in Trinidad we call the robinii Mama Teta and the trinitati Jumbi teta, I currently own both species I caught them in a stream in my yard and I grew up catching them 😁 other than that the video was nice to watch👍🏾

Small correction i think is important. Pantodon buchholzi and Atya gabonensis can be bred. Its just hard.

No way do glass catfish reach 6 inches. If they grow to 4 inching in 4 years you'll be lucky. He's confused.

That "very rare " catfish at 5:00 that he can't identify is Synodontis clarias. Unfortunately blind, but not rare. So sad. [Edit] It's not an albino. It is the natural colour of S. clarias. This guy doesn't seem to know much.

I used to have Synodontis catfish, and they're one of my most favorite aquarium catfish species. They're hardy (although they do need good oxygen levels in the tank), they're very peaceful and docile, they're pretty active, and they look really beautiful. Sadly, I had to rehome my Synodontis (and every single one of my fish, in general) after my aquarium suffered a catastrophic, irrecoverable cycle crash and ammonia spike. However, I do still have one of my aquarium pets: my Axolotl.

When I was exporting fish from Lake Tanganyika, I flew the boxes to Bujumbura, where they were transferred to a KLM flight to the Netherlands. From there the shipment was split into 2, one half was then transhipped to London and the other to Hamburg. Virtually no losses. The other arm of my operation exported wild caught fish, including butterflies and elephant trunk fish, out of Kinshasa to Belgium. Nigerians were not involved, they have their own businesses. Most west African fishes come from soft acidic waters, pH can be 5.5. You're confusing rift lake species, which live in pHs of 8.5 and cannot be kept below 7.0. Synodontis is not a family. It is a genus. The genus Synodontis comes under the family Mochokidae. The elephant noses, Gnathonemus petersi, (family Mormyridae) can't talk, so they don't have elocution lessons. They use their weak electric field to detect their prey and to communicate. This is called electrolocation, sometimes termed echolocation. The long "nose" is in fact an extension of the lower lip, densely covered with sensory cells to detect worms in sediment. In another species (Gnathonemus tamandua) both lips are extended to form a long tube. Bichir is pronounced "burr-chur", not biker, as in Hell's Angels, it comes from an Arabic word. These fishes grow big and need big tanks with lids on. Rope fish are good escape artists. There is so much misinformation in this video coming from somebody in the trade, who is supposed to be knowledgeable about his stock, that it beggars belief.

Ornate Polypterus can get over 30 inches and Delhezi's 14-17. You're confusing with the Senegalus. I live in FL and work at a pet store, I can order Senegals and Endlicheris pretty much every week. I also wouldn't keep a ropefish in anything smaller than a 40 breeder.

😂 dude you are completely wrong about Australian Rainbows I have wild caught crimson spot Australian Rainbows and they are totally peaceful and absolutely beautiful, they are in a community tank with smaller fish and shrimp. They will occasionally eat the smaller shrimp but they never attack smaller fish and definitely do not act like piranhas.

I have two Chinese Algae eaters, one gold one brown. Each about 18cm. I like them. They have funny personalities. I don't have any problems with them in a community tank with all sorts including small fish like neons and baby fish born in the tank. The Golden one is clearly the boss and occasionally he will scoot through the tank and put everyone else in their place (mainly the other CAE and the clown loaches who are also a good size). I like this because it stirs up any extra food etc on the tank floor helping to send it to the filter IMO. But my tank is four foot, planted and well fed. In a small tank and hungry could be a different story.

I love my Synodontis catfish. I have a male and female upside down cats and the female is almost 4 inches and quite round the male is about 3 inches and has a round belly but not as big as the female. I love them so much even if they hide under plants, wood, or in their caves.

Points of correction. Nigeria is in West Africa. Lake Malawi and Tanganyika are in East Africa, they're not in Nigeria.
