Superglue + cotton to attach rock to the wood to prevent it from floating. A little sand or saw dust or crushed aquasoil around the cotton before the superglue dries will help mask the glue spot.
I mount my hardscape on a sheet of 3mm thick acrylic, to create an insert I can silicone to the bottom of the tank. This makes a solid scape which won't move if bumped while cleaning the tank. This eliminates the need for lead weights. Superglue gel is what I use to adhere hardscape and rhizome plants. Use thicker sheet for larger scapes. I've found the 3mm works for small stuff.
I find wood I know I will scape around, just have the wood go in to the substrate and boom no need for allat waiting. Let the wet substrate keep it down
I enjoyed this so much! Decades ago, I had a huge bowfront full of neons and tiger barbs (and a few other things). I haven't had fish for a very long time. My son and grandkids have the coolest saltwater tanks. They have me missing having fish. I'm thinking about getting a very small tank and the neons again. Watching some videos so I can decide what setup would be best for me.
I got one of these when they showed up at the store once. He didn't make it. Gotta be careful with some of the rarer wild caught fish for sure. Wait on em before you buy.
Would that be an overstocked tank? Do you have to water change every day? I've been trying to debate how many endlers to put in a 5 gallon. Seems like 3 males is the limit. But if I could put this much along with cherry shrimp, it'll be great.
I kept 3 male endlers in a 6 gallon Fluval Edge tank and they did very well. However, one would get a little bullied at times, so even then, a bigger tank would have been better, as it would have given the bullied fish a bit more space to hide.
I have about 20 female guppies in my 3 gallon and my wife and I have to change the water at least once per week and they have been totally fine for a few months.
those fish actually need more space and bigger groups, in a tank this small you can only add (with acknowledging animal rights and behaviour) caridina shrimp and snails
The way I got speechless every time he added more... Then more and then more fish. Bro where are they swimming to? Also... Let's make sure all the species like the same pH.
idk maybe i'm not knowledgeable enough, but I feel like that tank is way too small to be keeping fish in. Your fish barely have any room to swim around in. what are your schooling fish supposed to do? swim around in circles forever? I could understand putting some shrimp and a few snails in a tank like this, but I definitely would not be putting schooling fish in that tank. I know for a a fact that if i was a schooling fish living in that tank, I'd feel really claustrophobic.

Now that's how you stock a nano tank, no goldfish or anything huge. Very nice.
Thanks 👍

Nice, we will be building a salt water tank soon! Thanks for the tips.
Crazy glue a rock to the driftwood :) it looks better then the lead weights and will work perfectly.
I just super glue the wood to rocks on the bottom and then just push the rocks down into the substrate a little

You should add a crocodile tooth pick fish if your putting in the work and attention! Might have to add more plants tho
in my experience with driftwood once it's been in there long enough it''ll eventually have absorbed enough water that it will stay sunk at the bottom
To say this tank is overstocked is an understatement. It's like watching something from over 20 years ago.
Yes, he definitely added way too many fish.
I prefer to just weigh the driftwood down by positioning large stones around it. Thanks for the info in this video!
Good advice. Thanks for watching hope to see you back here soon :)

I would love to try this setup, but is it not very overstocked?
This guy is such a grandpa and I’m all for it
What size tank is this?
60 gal lol

I've bene thinking the same thing. Seems like it is okay

What do people do when they go on extended vacations? Like what happens to the fish
We have a video about that! ruclips.net/video/NCRv36g0xJc/видео.htmlsi=jrKp4yTATRoENRHY

Just wait for the wood to saturate, then remove the weights.
I enjoy this guys content and know he probably gets death threats too for keeping a few small tanks lol I just subscribed
I’m sorry .. did he say LEAD ??? Isn’t that toxic ???
Usually lead weights are covered with rubber or something to keep the lead from poisoning anything, but yes lead is incredibly toxic.

It’s just for display purposes :) no fish were harmed
Why would you put one female endler with four males? That will stress her to death

No fish for such small tank. Few shrimps. And a snail. Thats all.
Mellow tank. We like that.
Yeah I agree. That tank is way too small for fish. Unless you were gonna have like 1 beta in there and that's it.
