I absolutely love Corydoras. I have Pygmy Cory’s, salt and pepper Cory’s and Julii Cory’s. The habrosous and Pygmy’s are together with upside down catfish tetras and a dwarf gourami. My Julii are with guppies. The habrosous and Pygmy snuggle together like they do with their own kind. They are the sweetest of fish.

@@CrystalmarieGrz the ones I keep have very dark bodies in the midsection with really vibrant red colors in the tail and head that fade away to a greenish bronze lower down on under the gill plates . Stunning fish

I know this is off topic, have you done a video on the African Butterfly Fish? I keep seeing them in my LFS but the info I’m getting is vague and somewhat varied.

What your showing as corydoras julii is actually corydoras trilineatus. Generally, about 90% of the corys sold as julii are actually trilineatus. If your getting them from a wholesaler, it's almost guaranteed that's it's going to be trilineatus. The pattern on a julii's head is small spots rather than reticulations like on a trillineatus. An actual julii is much more rare and is a noticeably more expensive species.

Well, you may have a point. You can’t tell at that size it could be either, it’s a point, but too close to tell until nearer adult size

My bronze and albinos interbreed. I get mostly bronze Corys from the union. 🤷🏻‍♀️ It makes sense as albinism is recessive.

I had 6 pepperd corys and 2 bronze corys all were active and rome around everywhere in my tank but i saw someone saying that i should keep a single species in a group so should i need to buy more bronze corys or this 6 peppered corys is enough for them to be considered as group i can see my bronze interract with each other sometimes peppered corys don't do that I never saw them interacting with each other they just swim close to each other sometimes they eat from glass together they also hang close to bronze but bronze chase each other swim together but they Dwell separately so do i need to have more bronze corys or they were good with my group of peppered corys which i already have

I’ve been in the aquarium hobby literally my whole life because my dad kept aquariums when I was growin’ up and I can’t stand the numbering of species The whole L1 L2 thing because most people don’t understand it including me I do understand now that they don’t have a scientific name yet and people are too lazy to think of one so they just gave them a number💯💀

But the Corydoras agassizii is not a agassizii, this guy looks more like a C. sodalis to me, what i can see. 😉

I got some Venezuelan cories & they're just friendly, friendly guys!
When I go to the glass they do their happy greeting dance for a minute & then go back to snuffling. It's completely unrelated to feeding them as I don't feed them when they dance & they'll ignore the flakes as they settle down until they get squishier for them to gobble up 30m+ later.
They'll let me pick them up & handle them a little bit. Very personable, little guys IME.
