@@pstreetgarage7304 yeah the truck originally had air conditioning on the last engine I put in which is this one I used tall valve covers so the compressor would not fit the truck was originally an air conditioning truck so I'm using a vintage air system which now puts everything under the dash all-in-one box heater core and AC evaporator

@@pstreetgarage7304 no Stefan I haven't done any long videos because RUclips doesn't play or push them plus I'm too busy trying to get s*** done a lot of the stuff I do in the middle of the day in between customers cars you know how it is trying to film and work like for example today I had to modify the seat frame that I bought in order to get it at the right angle for my seats I wound up having to cut an inch and a half out of the front legs and then the shim the backside with a half inch nut

@@WhoopAzzRacing Ya I get that. Filming makes everything longer. You'd be surprised how many views you would get by showing regular car fixes. I make You Tube money from my son's Chev Cruze and daughters civic ironically. About 100 per month. My Comet and Bus make only pennies lol.

Xxr 526 18x10.5 plus 30 offset with a spacer that changes lug pattern from 5x5 to 5x120 I want to say it either a 2 inch spacer or 1.5 inch I can measure it when I get to the shop

Yeah I already got another set of pads from Napa I wound up just having to grind them down it's the simplest and most cost-effective solution not the one that makes me happy but for the time being it will be okay

Yeah spanky "Phil" you're on drugs I guarantee you f****** Willwoods definitely outperform the stock s*** and even though the pads don't line up correctly here these are off of a Cadillac eldorado from 1979 which is every bit is big and probably more on the heavy side than the truck so I'm sure that they will provide better clamping Force I just wish I got to use all of the brake surface

The definition of full contact is the full contact area of the brake pad makes contact with the rotor it does not matter about above and below the pad area as long as the pad does not overlap the top or the bottom of the rotor and as long as there's no rust in the area of the pad contact surface area then there is full contact as a 30-year technician here and it is spelled brakes not breaks

Yeah I hear you but this is a brand new kit that is sold like this it shouldn't be like that it should come with the larger rotors I've already paid for brand new rotors why the f*** should I have to buy a new one get it

Yeah that's what I did I'm not real thrilled about it but until I can find rotors that are a quarter inch bigger in diameter this is what's going to have to be

Unfortunately where it would need to be drilled in order for everything to fit correctly it would just be too thin the bracket needs to be remade or the more simple solution the rotor just needs to be a quarter inch bigger in diameter

The issue here is if you wallow out the holes or re-drill them the bracket will be too thin in a week it really needs to be remade I wound up beveling the pads is not ideal but to get new brackets made would be very expensive

I agree for the time being I beveled the top edge of the pads I'm going to try and find rotors that will fit that are also drilled and slotted unfortunately the right stuff does not offer them

They ended up sending us another identical set, also didn’t work. Then they told us to just get s10 calipers. Apparently their calipers in the kits were improperly cast to fit their brackets. Again, the wrong stuff.

The right solution is to demand a replacement from the company and barring that a refund. When that doesn't happen file a small claims case in your jurisdiction and publicize the sh*t out of it here. The publicity will cost that company FAR more than the refund would have.
