Nice the new sounds.

Hello Jon,thank you for the video. You made this old guy feel good about what was a large purchase for me back in 2013. I own a Variax guitar and bass to go with my HD500x and it makes life easier for me to go out to band practice and just jam with friends and family. When at home it’s headphones, when jamming I add Fender firefighter PA powered speakers. Works well. Bigger gigs are a pain for me (did I mention I’m 68 years old). I load out an Ampeg speaker cab loaded with a 15” (old and heavy), A Ampeg BA 210 for monitor, Blackstar Unity 700 head and. A pedal board with a lot of crap I haven’t used in years and 2 old Fender basses. This is still a lot better than the Fender 400PS and 3 folded horn cabs and basses I ran in 1974. Anyhow most of the time the the line 6 works if the venue has a good PA system. I ramble but I feel my 6 gear should be relevant for the rest of my time. GB Sincerely, Pops

NO NO it's old it can't be good unless it's tubes. Plus Line 6 needs more $ for the Helix since they you know ask way more than its worth.

i have a hd500x which is top quality ,i have a hd500 aswell which i tried to sell but no takers ,i see basic or older pedals advertised at higher prices which makes me laugh because the hd500 is far more advanced than most also with advanced edit software only a helix or kemper pips it and not by much really .

I have a PODHD500x that I've been trying to get working on Windows 11 and I have had the hardest time with it. I've even tried just plugging it into my focusrite and playing it through a DAW(studio1) and its showing that there's a connection... like the audio levels are changing in the channel but there's no audio coming through and nothing tracks when I record. Any advice would be great! thanks!

So if I were to get a boss gt1000 and I don’t have a good guitar amp would I just buy an frfr speaker to plug the gt1000 into? I am a complete noob when it comes to this stuff so I really don’t know what I am doing. I am trying to upgrade my setup but am just getting lost on what I need. Will the frfr be enough since there are pre amps built into the gt1000?

What are the send and return on as a three hundred I can't find any

Hello John, I have some issues with my 500x while recording. While I try to export my recording in cubase, which is recorded by 500x, it does not sound like what I hear from speakers. What should be the reason of this? That really drives me crazy. Thanks

I've still owned mine since 2015 with no plans to get rid of it at all! One of the best effects boards ever made. It's really about the effects and tinkering that will give you the biggest abilities to shape your sound (if you're using it with an amp). Things like the graphic eq and parametric eq, noise gate, hard gate, etc. are some of its "hidden gems," outside of the usual delay, chorus, reverb , etc. IMO. Running it as my "post fx chain" in 4CM with a Mesa V-Twin rackmount tube Preamp. Which mains out to the FX return on a Peavey 6505+ head w/t 4x12. Absolutely beautiful cleans and fire-breathing distortion!! I'll own it 'till it dies.

If you think that pod hd500x is difficult in editing a preset, take into account that kemper, helix, fractal....they are really difficult in setting up. Pod hd500x is much easier in editing. now if you use a irs' box, much better..

I think there are many pedalboards, among the most avanced, this beautiful one, is one of the easiest on how a pedalboard is set up. Besides, one can use irs. It has good effects, maybe the amount of amps are limited...

Hi bro nice video anyway, i wonder whether can we switch off the cab sim in one of the output like example we turn on cab sim in L output but we turn off the cabsim for the R ouput because the R output is go to amps input and i wanna micking the cabinet, so my goal is got the different sound of stereo output

i'm the guy who would take this on stage. i use the rp50 all the time. The way i made it sound killer is, first of all, it's a modeler, so if you plug this into the input of an amp it's gonna sound like garbage, has to go straight into the power section instead of the pre-amp, but on the rp50 you have to turn on "Global Cabinet Simulation" by holding the "drums" button down as you power it on. This enables the cabinets, then you plug it directly into the pa or directly into the interface and then the amps sound a lot better. I'm using it for cool 80's rock tones. it helps the tone of the hi gain amp models tremendously if you set the compressor on about 12. I use the high gain tube amp, and british 4x12. It oozes JCM 800, and with a distortion pedal plugged in the front with the pedal on the lowest gain setting for the amp model you can get some very Randy sounds out of it. Bass on 3, mids on 6, Treble on 7 or 8. I actually used it on my last 2 songs i recorded, and i hadn't even figured all this out yet, I went out of the pedal into a fractal marshall plexi. 0:13 PodHD si more plug n play..goods tones with less tweak..compared both hx and tonex.. I have all trhee and I still love 500x...some models on 500x are better than on hx...for example the dual rect models ..on hd wins hands down...moreover the two best cover i ever see on utube are done with pod hd..

Absolutely. The HD series was the first time I plugged into a modeler and was floored. Way ahead of its time and once a unit sounds good, I think it sounds good forever. Great switching and signal chain building. I'd be happy to play one even without IRs or combinations with modern modelers.

I only use digital stuff, so that’s great info for the future in-case I might think about doing that 😂 Quick question though, Is that why some MainStage/ like softwares doesn’t have a compressor pedal in it cause the digital amps have it already??

Hey!! -John- Jon upglowed his videos! Good stuff man. I have one of these, and also much newer equipment. I was wondering if I should dump this, but it has such nice effects. reverbs, etc. It's the hi-gain stuff that differs and lacks a bit. You really nailed it in terms of video production and quality. Well worth watching...now you're on the way up. Don't forget actual playing. Nothing grabs viewers and sells products better than sweet, melodic riffing from a product with a great tone.

Most 4 cable method videos: 15 minutes of rambling commentary. This channel: 3 different methods including 4 cable in 60 seconds. You rock! Just got an hd500x at a pawn shop. Your videos helped me check its function right there in the shop. I’d have never been willing to drop the money without this channel.

Hi what effect are you using

Pod express into the loop as a main Amp tone with boost/drive. Using 500x as an effect unit and easier to turn on and off the effects. On some, one line is dry and one line is wet.
