Wow only $99 hundred upgrade I thought it was $10000 😅
This is not the 2025 model
It is indeed. The new xc 90 is 2025.5 model
@fionadea oh ok I didn't know that, my bad
Turns out they are getting a heat pump standard for the 2025 after this video came out.
If you can look over the four months of winter, in Canada, then this car is not a problem. Our winter basically ends in March. Crazy hot summers even spring is super hot here in Toronto. If we’re lucky we get that nice weather until October. So really if you buy an EV like the MACH you’re still a winner. No maintenance no fuel. You can imagine what happens to combustion engines and moving parts after a Canadian winter and salt and snow.
Made in CHINA 🇨🇳!?
Nice one thanks guys
This lady sounds unbelievably stupid. What does she have to do this cars? Why is she doing this?
Ford just announced a heat pump in their 2025 model! 😁 Love the review and the banter btw! 😄
MY 2022 Tesla Model 3 DRIVES IT SELF............ LIKE from drive way to destination NO hands on the car drives it self. NO LIE im not BSing.
I was a bit surprised the Korean Evs didn't make the short list. The chevy trailblazer as of late has my attention.
The 2025 models come with a heat pump!! That being said he pumps suck when it's freezing temps outside anyways. Even Teslas switch over to a resistor style heater when its freezing.
I just saw the news! More affordable and sportier as well. Can't wait!
So ev mustang is great in warm climates because of the battery issues in the cold... got it...
what is the range of this car?
When women do car reviews 😂😂😂😂😂 cubic feet 😂😂😂😂
How does that have to do with women doing reviews?
@@akertesbecause the review already sucks, all these "new" features already exist in the old models
@@mokhles_affesdid I say they were all new features or that the car was a newer model?
I don't know what part of the lower 48 you guys are, but the resistive heater is better than a heat pump when temperatures really go below freezing. Ford made the right choice for heating performance. The heat pump won't warm your cabin as well in the cold. As a professional engineer, give me and my kids the heat in the winter. Heat pumps on our house need backup from oil heat when its 15 under. The scaled down heat pump to fit in a car will suffer even worse.
The 2025 models come with a heat pump now!
@@ryanb8466, all manufacturers Gotta fold to what's on demand. Engineering and calculations can only get you so far
still one of the best because It’s one of the only EV trucks you can buy lol …
There are over a dozen I can think of so I wouldn’t say it’s one of the only EV trucks there is.
There's more EV trucks than there are sedans.
@@akertes sure but none as widely available as the F150. Like by a long shot
I feel so much cooler in my 1996 ford f350 with a 7.3l diesel, upgraded to the 2000’s plastic fuel tank and I get 1000km on the highway and only 130$ to fill
PS If ZEEKR was available in Canada you would never want anything else.
Canada needs Chinese EVs! Oh right Fascist Trudeau just blocked them with a 100% tax while he sends your money to literal NAZIS in Ukraine! Canada, another Western "free country" where consumers/citizens are not allowed to choose what they want at a non punitive affordable price. Meanwhile Chinese EV brands are taking Latin America big time and building massive infrastructure there. North America is building itself into its own Iron Curtain self-incarceration. PS Your MACH-E is Made in Mexico...what does Canada make?
no drive mode select button? crazy
It doesn't have drive modes.
@@abishek4300yes it does
It’s in the screen. There is hybrid, power, and off-road.
@@Baccend_jayy it has Standard and off-road. That's it.
Having a glass roof is actually really bad for efficiency. Because in winter, the heat inside the cabin would be leaked to outside very easily. Glass is NOT a good insulation material. So the less glass (roof or windows) in the car, the better it is for heat insulation in winter, or cold insulation in summer when the car has AC on.
It's not on my short list. I got one. Fantastic city car.
Yeah this is the previous model
Oh you guys live on the east side
I thought you guys have the 2nd facelift MY2025 model, this is still MY2024. Drove it for a year. I would not recommend getting this one if someone is shopping for one as new, the updated model is vastly improved when it comes to infotainment The AAOS in the car is the single worst experience - mostly because of all the hopes and promises, but - you can't use Android Auto. People ask - why would you want AA, if you have AAOS - well, many reasons. There is no way to have maps and media on 1 screen, all you can do is have the 4 row base view which shows song name and destination/ETA, but not like standard split view in android auto. 2nd is streaming quality - the car will not stream the spotify/any other kind of music in the quality you can get on your phone. Features are added to AA faster than AAOS, some apps don't work that well with the Volvo display. It's stupid to not enable Android Auto. The digital cockpit is a joke. You can't customize whatsover. Want different color? Nope. You can do 1 thing - turn the map on or off. That's it. Can youi display media info on cockpit display? Nope... Can you display other nav apps in there if you use waze or Sygic or whatnot? Nope. It only supports Carplay apple maps, and that too only came like a year ago. With moving to AAOS, the car lost automatic parking assistent, which it had since 2015... Car of this size, I don't care if you are a Tokyo drift king who can park it with 180 spin on reverse between two parked Bentleys, where one tiny bumper ding would cost a new Volvo XC40 to repair - I expect it from 5 meter 2 meter wide box to help me parallel park if it has all sensors, cameras, radars. It's just software feature Google doesn't give a crap about and Volvo would have to make it as an app. If someone is buying it as 5 seater - not sure if it is even an option on some markets - Don't. Even if you never even have more than 3 people at a time in the car, get the 7 seater. If you don't get the 3rd row, what the lovely people of Volvo do is to give you a plywood cover for the hole where the seats would be, so yeah, you get pretty decent storage underneath the boot floor, but all the bits and pieces to cover the electronics in the back are just... made to measure ..probably for a different car. I spent the first month identifying all the 100 rattles and squeals from the rear, stuffing it with pieces of rubber tape to make the car not sound like 30 year old minivan after structural damage to the body. Just get the 7 seater, all will be fine. If you enjoy listening to music, the upgrade to the top audio trim is a must, I had only the HK..it was so bad. The car is a huge dome inside, the subwoofer ..I had to literally go and put my stupid face on the rear right wheel arch where the subwoofer is hidden if it is really there. There is no bass, there is no..sound stage to speak of. The Harman Kardon is not worth the interior stickers on the doors. Or get the base and have it custom fitted for the money. The panoramic glass is soft as hell. Had two stone chips that, tiniest little rocks that turned the roof into a web, luckily Volvo is the one that moved from tempered to laminated glass because lo and behold - nobody wants to touch panorama glass repairs, Volvo will want to replace the whole unit, with frame and all, for like 3k, whilst you can just replace the glass of course, but finding someone willing to do it was a feat. You also absolutely have to get the double glazed windows, I had just the Plus trim, not the Ultimate, the noise in the car was not acceptable for such car. What is great about this car that besides Q7 with rear axle steering (not standard Q7 without the option), it has the smallest turn radius in the class. This car with 3m wheelbase is turning on same narrow road almost as easily as my VW Golf, X5 or GLE definitely would not do it in one turn. For city driving and parking, it would need only better side cameras to help prevent rim scratches, although on the R20 rims there is still quite a tall sidewall, I would not want to go with bigger wheels anyway. The cameras in mirrors are very poor quality, you have a better chance to get a feeling of how close you are to the curb from the 360 view rather than with direct view from the side camera. But in any case, for new car buyers, wait for the facelift. Looks better, has the new system, the interior middle console is revised and much more useful, the wireless charger is revised, it will be a much better car to live with.
Interesting review , so between this one or bmw x5 you would go with x5 ?
@@WhiteoutSnowy that is not an easy question. 2025 facelift XC90 vs X5 would probably be tough sell for XC90, because I imagine they would not give you such discounts like they did the past 2-3 years on XC90, at least in EU, the Plus models you could get for 63k, Ultimate for 70, even though the Ultimate with couple options would be 100+ MSRP. I remember the days before 2020, when you could get a very nic espec X5 with similar discounts, alas, not anymore. I would pickup the X5, because B58 (40i) engine is probably the best petrol engine BMW makes in the last 20 years, quite reliable, powerful, there is no good reason to buy any other engine in BMW if the model has that option. I always hated the split rear gate in the boot, like..what's the reason for it, to not reach inside for the small bag that is at the far end of the boot? XC90 is roomier, both in the backseat and the boot, well it is basically something between X5 and X7. But you can get better seats in X5, I didn't like that I can't adjust the angle of the backrest, like you can do on the comfort seats in BMW, so I always felt I am leaning too much to the back in the XC90 and didn't have the proper shoulder/spinal support. X5 will be much better driving car, XC90 is at home with being a family car.
We've owned a T8 since 2017. This car was light years ahead of its rivals. In the household since then we had a BMW 3i, BMW X1 and VW ID3. I was never able to change the car because of resistance from the family members. It still is their favourite ride and I always looked at it as a hidden Gem. People are not aware how a bliss a drive it is
Buy this and any similar vehicle if you don't care where the ultimate ownership of the company is and where the meter by meter location data about you is ending up.
I was really surprised to hear the Mach-E does not have a heat pump. It would seem it would only be practical as a short commute vehicle in the winter. What EVs would you you recommend in the same category instead? Model Y? Polstar 2? Kia EV6?
The 2025 models come with a heat pump!
Not sure how the naming convention goes in the US, but the 2025 XC90 will be the revised model, not this.
Great Review! I think its size might make it inconvenient for smaller neighbourhoods though or cramped parking spaces, maybe the XC60 is a good compromise between this and the XC40 which is too small and with lesser range.
Thank you so much, you are right though about the size. It is a bit big for me and I would prefer the XC60
I love the new camera angle and transision. Much better than before. Keep up the good work.
Thank you so much and thank you for your support
I love this car so much❤

months ago your wife was considering an Ioniq 5 RWD, did she end up buying an EV yet?
Not yet! Her lease is up in 2 months so she will be deciding soon.
Such a cringe video. If he isn’t undermining everything she says, he’s being a cynical negative Nancy. Ugh. 👎🏽
I have 2024 Mach E premium and with 2030 miles my Mach E broke, at the dealer now and they haven't figured out what is wrong with it
Omg no😭 I was just thinking about getting one
Wow , that's a really good smooth review 👏 Subscribered
We both Select wit eAWD and extended battery , we didn’t get premium because of sun roof and the fact that we live in Rockies belt (Calgary and when we road trip to Banff it would be additional point of failure 😞
Why is the naming for Volvo so confusing. They just did a debut to next years XC90, but this one is also a 2025 XC90?
😂😂😂😂 the “sunglasses” holder on the left side is for change my p.o.s has that.
It’s pretty big for just change. It can easily hold sunglasses as well.
Cool!
too bad, at least in the US, one can't get an EQS without the Hyperscreen anymore, much prefer the standard portrait configuration.
Plastic is plastic is BS. The interior of the Mach-e feels European exactly b/c the plastics are nice & solid or soft touch. They don't feel scratchy & hollow like many American & Japanese cars.
😂
Greetings from southern Ontario Canada only here we get the green license plates every where else in Canada regular plates
So if you want a car for showing you buy this car, if you want car for driving you buy petrol.
That is not a car charger that is a digital reader for your phone to be used as a digital key. The car charger is an upgrade. They look the same, but if you’ll notice there’s no tiny blue light right in the front if there’s no tiny blue light or a charge symbol on the platform then you’ll know it’s just a reader.
why is he always talking over her
Is a $300/mo lease with $0 down for 10,500 miles per year a good deal on a Mach E Select w/ 250 mile range?
Yes.
@@doctorwonderful So it's not overpriced? I was hoping I didn't get ripped off. I've gotten as far as 278 miles on a charge when turning 1-pedal driving off. Seems like that applies the brakes too much and ate up range instead of the generators being aggressive for charging when coming to a stop.
Pick between this and the Ioniq 5?
The man spoilt the video because he constantly put down the lively lady, who made good points.
