    Got this car in Jan. it's a 2024 Gravity Gold. RWD limited for the longer range. Over 300 miles. it's a ton of fun. It has a retro look and the interior is really comfortable. Way better than a telsa model 3 in my opinion.

    I just replaced my Model 3 with a Limited model of one of these. LOVIN' it!

      Do you miss the model 3? Considering switching and worried I will regret it. The tesla app and being able to stream Netflix during my lunch break will be missed for sure.

      @@tracyschulman5364 I don't regret it at ALL! While the Model 3 was a great car when we bought it 6 years ago, with subsequent OTA updates, it developed a kind of "Tourette Syndrome" with unpredictable, erratic, unnerving phantom braking, red steering wheel alarms, ping-ponging between lanes. It's much easier for my wife to get in and out of the Ioniq 5. It is more roomy, comfortable, better visibility, and I love the heads up display. As for Netflix, I use my iPad. Easy peasy. The only real advantage to a Tesla is the Supercharger network, but over the next year all EVs will be able to plug into those chargers with an adapter.

    My daughter has the 2020 Ioniq and she likes it, if you are staying around town I think it fine. Our problem is our local Hyundai doesn't know much about the EV so if you have issues you maybe waiting awhile for a fix. My preference would be the Y. Great Review!

      Nice! I'm glad she's loving it and its still driving well 3 years later. Has she had any problems with it? - Matt

      @@Worththewatt Only issues was the 12V battery dying so far. Hyundai confused it for the HVB and wanted to keep the car lol until it got fixed.

      I have the long range 2023 full spec in Ireland. Unless you are planning on racing around clocking up speeding tickets the rear wheel drive is plenty fast even in normal mode. Better to have the range especially in winter where you do notice the drop when cold. Android auto has been an issue for me and doesn't always work since my phone updated but it could be the connection like other people have said. I've ordered a carlinkit for wireless which I hope will fix. Otherwise I love the car. Great space and passengers appreciate the rear leg room, heated seats and recline in the back. The roof cover is also a bonus as you don't always want the sun blazing in but nice to have the natural light as an option. Not having buttons for the seat heating in the front is solved if you don't mind talking to your car. Suspension is good but I found the breaks sketchy in wet conditions when on Ipedal or level 2 or 3. Just go 0 on wet roads. Lane assist on cruise control is good when road markings are clear but I turn mine off around town and twisty back roads. I'm pretty happy with most things and I came from an Audi.

    So much complaining from the man in the video. Much nicer to listen to the driver, the woman. 😊
    Greetings from a very satisfied Ioniq owner.

    Andrea: "I love how it isn't like a Tesla... just a big screen". Yet, the Mach-e has a mammoth 15.5 screen similar to the MY are both still on your short list while the I5 is no longer. What criteria dropped I5 from your short list? I wouldn't even consider the Mach-e with that display and lack of heat pump.

    • @MatthewMoniz
      @MatthewMoniz 6 месяцев назад +3

      She means she prefers having some buttons on the screen and a smaller screen in front of her to see how fast she is going. She mentioned this in the video. Mach-e is off the list due to the lack of heat pump. Just not worth it in Canada. As for the Ioniq 5, she liked it a lot but after she got into the Mach-e she preferred that instead. She's hoping to find something similar for under 70k CAD. I really don't want another Tesla so we have more testing to do

    I just got the Model 3. I considered getting the EV6, the Ioniq 6, or the Ioniq 5. I decided to go with the Tesla for 1 simple reason: the supercharging network.

    • @Worththewatt
      @Worththewatt  7 месяцев назад

      Thats the reason most people go with the Model 3. I went with it because I personally liked the tech the best. Constant updates, the best software experience if you dont use CarPlay or android auto. My only complaints are its not a smooth drive and its still a bit noisy compared to the competition. However, from what I've seen the highland refresh solved those problems!

    I don’t like the wasted real estate around the screens, I think that was a missed opportunity. Getting rid of the borders would make it feel a little more premium.
