Nice video. I recently got the 2024 ioniq 5 AWD in digital teal. First brand new car of my life (sadly 😂), but couldn’t like a car more. From the looks to the silent/smooth performance. The 2024 SEL dropped some nice features from the 2023 but after all the rebates and saving were done it was the way to go imo. If you time these right you can get it down to around 40k from 53500 msrp.

Had the same experience on the price. Seems Hyundai wants to cover the tax rebate while they get the Georgia plant operational. I got the SE for just about $1500 above what a Honda CRV Hybrid would have costed. That seems competitive to me, considering the much lower cost of fuel and maintenance.

@@leonborden9883 awesome. Ya I’m like 4 months in and still love it. Messing with the levels and trying to get the best kilowatt per mile is kinda addicting lol. Congrats on the purchase!

I cannot understand why people need to rely on a rear window wiper ! What are door mirrors for ? The ionic 5 has sensors, cameras and parking assist. If you can’t drive or park this thing you should not be on the road ! 😂

Yeah, my Ioniq 5 SE does not have all of those sensors, cameras, and parking assist. And I do use the rear view mirror to monitor traffic directly behind me. I would really appreciate a rear wiper on this vehicle.

Excellent review! I'm looking at 2023 SEL with black interior and this was really helpful.

I open my Tesla doors with the app that actually pops the door open. I then grab the glass edge or upper corner of the door and easily swing it open.

About that tiny frunk. Here's the deal. That frunk is as small as it is because the AWD models have a motor up front which takes up quite a bit of space. In non-NA (US/Canada) markets the RWD models have a much larger frunk. However, for the NA market, since the larger frunk could be big enough for a small child to crawl into, it would require an escape handle. Because of the way that most hood latches are designed, this would require a much more complicated hood latch so Hyundai just puts the tiny frunk in all of their Ioniq 5s in NA.

It is poorly designed. The Tesla dual motor has the same motor up front but has tons of space comparatively. The are many videos about how well the Tesla is designed from the megacast unibody to updatable software/hardware. Build is different but getting much better

The reason their a handle bar on the drivers side is for disabled drivers fir helping them in and out

It would have been an EXCELLENT EV if it had good suspensions....
