    The Pvc tube was a short piece it bent and sliped. It did not break. The other tubes were long a unfair advantage. I use a carbon fiber sup paddle . And would not cosider a pvc. I just think your test was biased.

      On a select # of products, we have an MOQ set to 200pcs as those products we procure generally from overseas rather than make them ourselves. They are often denoted with a "-DL" suffix on their SKU number. If you search however the first 5 digits of that same SKU (example: 45558 instead of 45558-DL) you will find the version of that tube that we build and is available in qty of 1.

    • @johnkimball314
      @johnkimball314 Год назад

      The process is the same. You can carefully insert your part into the bag if you choose to close 3 sides first, or you can leave the bag open and then close the 3 or 4 sides after the part is in place. This is very common for large parts that are hard to move around. The thing to remember is that if you get epoxy resin on your bag were the tape seals, it will never stick and you will have to replace the bag.

      Hello! importing is mental, agreed. however fabricating by hand without the equipment is also kinda mental and likely more expensive than the former. There is no easy answer for direct swap of AL to CF howoever we can share the in general, CF will be 30% stiffer and about 30% lighter given no dimensional changes otherwise from AL. MEEEOW :-)

      Pressure vessels are a function of fiber orientation, so depending on the internal pressure you need, will determine the layup you will need. You are commenting on the the roll wrap and pultrusion video, but you would be much better off with a filament wound tube designed for pressure. With filament wound tubes we can use hoop plies to increase burst strength. Send us an email and we can help you get started to know what kind of layup you need for your application.

    why not use a flexible bag?

    • @RockWestComposites
      @RockWestComposites Год назад

      Flexible or stretch bag is ok if you need to conform to some troublesome features, but it can be difficult to use and my have leak issues. With infusion, the stretch can cause issues with the flow media by conforming too much to the media and not allowing the resin to flow as needed. It can also stretch in the opposite direction and not give as much compaction force while the resin is flowing, which in turn will slow the flow of resin through the bag. I always prefer non-stretch bag for every application. A well placed bag shouldn't require any stretch bag to conform to the features of the part.
