Is This The Best BUDGET Microphone Under $100? | Fifine K688 Dynamic XLR USB
A high quality combo XLR USB microphone at an affordable price is hard to come by. So when Fifine asked if I was interested in trying out their dynamic K688 mic, I was curious to see how it stacks up to my most recommended budget mic, the Audio Technica ATR2100x.

    A sponsered audiophile video with a creator under 1000 subs. Ima help you and make it 1/1000 more! (personally I would add some good eq with a little bit more bass to the mic and its perfect, another thing is it is a bit punchy.) (The usb sounds better to me but it does not sound as clear, compared to the direct plug in) | not giving any ideas but would be intresting to do a temu microphone review.

    MFT lenses are generally much better than "general public" 24x36 lenses. This is in my opinion the first argument in favor of MFT : superior optics quality Unless you use overpriced Leica lenses, 24x36 lenses are well below MFT (especially the Olympus "pro" lenses with an aperture of ƒ/1.2 which are really superior quality). The so-called "superior quality" of 24x36 is largely over-exaggerated and pushed to the limit by the brands. As a daily user of MF with a very large sensor (Hasselblad H5d-60 with a 4.5x6 sensor), I know what the high quality standards are in photography and especially in terms of optical quality And if I want very high definition and top quality, I will certainly not use 24x36 (very small sensor, heavy, expensive and very disappointing optics, except for Leica, some Zeiss and the Lumix 50mm S PRO ƒ1.4). I use the MF which is certainly heavy, but whose quality is REALLY superlative. It's a completely different world... And otherwise, I use the MFT for the qualities that we know. And especially those of its optics. I do not use 24x36 for the reasons mentioned above. Make no mistake: if you want the best camera in the world right now, it's not a 24x36, but the Hasssleblad X2D and its XCD "V series" lenses which are exceptional. And by far the best in terms of value for money: Lumix G9II or Lumix GX7 + Olympus pro lenses and/or Leica Lumix lenses The 24x36 is certainly the best-selling. That doesn't make it the best. That makes it the best marketed.

  • @photographiezautrement
    @photographiezautrement 21 день назад

    Be careful, a Micro Four Thirds lens at ƒ/2.5 is the exact equivalent of a 24x36 lens opening at ƒ/2.5. There is strictly no difference in terms of aperture and therefore brightness The depth of field (and only the depth of field), is EQUIVALENT to a lens closed at ƒ/5 So it is not "ƒ/5 full frame equivalent", but "ƒ/5 depth of field 24x36 equivalent"

    Fantastic review mate, I believe that the backlash isnt from the head but it's the whole construction of the carbon fiber legs. I've seen some carbon legs gets slightly twisted whenever you pan, upon release, the legs straighten up again causing the backlash effects (hence why it doesnt happen on tilt). But I've only ever seen it happens on photography legs with no mid spreader, I wonder if it's the same issue here.

    • @SMBYopinion
      @SMBYopinion 24 дня назад

      Thanks for watching and the kind words! Yeah that could definitely be the reason. I do find the legs noticeable lower quality than the head. Maybe one day if I ever get another set of legs I can swap them over to see if it’s still the case.

    I think the fact that the PYXSIS is getting so much attention - rightly deserved, actually ensures that third party manufacturers will cash in on its popularity . The range of all kind of accessories and work arounds for cinema cameras generally means that the recent past indicates the future. Plus you’ve already had an option presented to you. Also it would be apparent that people do not think it’s a risk. All you’ve done is made a video in order to get some suggestions really.

    The real challenge from full frame cameras is that they are not only getting cheaper and cheaper by the year, their bodies and lenses are getting smaller and lighter as well. That will be the final blow to the M4/3 system. when the full frame gear gets really light and compact system wide, the only remaining M4/3 users will be those who need deeper depth of field.

    • @SMBYopinion
      @SMBYopinion Месяц назад

      Yes full frame cameras can get smaller overtime but lenses will never be as small as what m4/3 can be. It is a unfortunately physical limitation

    The more I hear M43=Dead the more I laugh, I see on RUclips and in my circle of shutterbug friends, more and more of them ditching their full frame for M43 , and it's so energizing and inspiring , small size, weight, insane great IBIS, leaving tripods at home, putting together a nice Olympus or Panasonic kit.. I personally have never needed more than 16MP , M43 . Good points.

    The very first four thirds format camera, Olympus' E1 slr, was declared dead on arrival in 2003. In 2008 the mirrorless micro 4/3 system was introduced. More predictions of impending doom. This format has been "dying" for over 20 years. It may eventually go away, but until then I'll keep using it alongside a medium format kit. I didn't find increased quality of "full frame" to be worth the weight and size increase. The Olympus E1iii and three lenses weigh almost as much as my primary Fuji GFX lens. I'll keep it.

    Agreed with a lot of your points. One thing though, f2.5 in MFT is not f5.0 in FF equivalent. The DoF might be f5.0 FF equivalent but the amount of light hitting the sensor is still f2.5, no crop factor there.

    • @SMBYopinion

      Yeah that’s my bad. Got it mixed up. Thanks for letting me know :)

    • @OnurCemAltun
      @OnurCemAltun Месяц назад

      Exposure calculation, which is based on the f-number and shutter speed, tells us how much light hits the each inch^2 of the sensor, but it doesn’t account for the sensor’s size or its ability to handle noise. To understand the light-gathering capacities, consider the aperture opening sizes: An MFT lens at f/2.5 has an aperture diameter of approximately 8mm (20mm focal length). A full-frame lens at f/5.0 has an aperture diameter of approximately 8mm (40mm focal length). So, an MFT camera at f/2.5 and FF camera at f/5.0 effectively gather the same amount of photons. Thus the same level of signal to noise ratio. In other words a similar level of image quality. As a side note, exposure calculations typically use f-stops, which measure the aperture size but don’t account for light loss within the lens. In reality, t-stops, which measure actual light transmission, provide a more accurate representation of the light hitting the sensor. MFT lenses often have lower t-stops compared to their f-stop values, meaning less light reaches the sensor than expected. This discrepancy can affect the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and overall image quality, as lower t-stops result in less light transmission, impacting the true exposure and SNR. Overall, the MFT system isn't inferior to the FF system. It excels with a wide range of compact lenses, making it a travel/hiking friendly choice.

    Love my OM1. Last night I did a milky way shot using Hand Held High Res for 15 second each for a 12 shot stack of 3 min. I then used Live Composite to light paint the foreground. In post I blended the shots to produce a spectacular result. I use one of the computational modes on 80 percent of my shots. AF has improved tremendously in past few years and is nipping at the heels of the big boys. DXO PureRaw4 eliminates noise issues. Camera Blur in post resolves DOF limitations. As a longtime m43 user, with a decade of Nikon DX before that, my opinion is that m43 is not dead. But it's a format that makes the most sense for more advanced and skilled photographers. It is a compromised system from an IQ perspective and it's less forgiving of exposure and cropping mistakes, and has a more narrow shooting envelope than other systems. If you're able to work within its limitations, it can be fun and rewarding to use. But it's not for everyone. I barely recommend it to anyone, in fact! But I have a great lens collection and am mainly an on the go handheld hobbyist user-for my travel, nature, and occasional sports and portrait shooting it suits me just fine!

I like the small rig cause it has a 95 opening for bigger cine lenses, but i just purchased a 5 cine lens set and small rig doesn't sell their screw on filters individually and tilta does for like $7 each, and for a 5 lens set not unscrewing things is a huge time saver. I don't use clip on filters to the front so those mechanics aren't much of an issue to me.

    Congratulations on the video, I like to see young people valuing the advantages of the M43, outside of Japan it is rare to see young people with M43 and it is a very attractive format for older people, I don't know if because they don't want to carry more weight or because they really , so that almost the entire M43 runs very well. In my case, I replaced my Pentax Q with an OM5 and several prime and zoom lenses. I use it while cycling and I carry it in a bag Think Tank Digital Holster 5 hanging on the chest to have it on hand while I ride the bike. That’s a fair point. Again, I get the benefits of the design, just hoping it could be more versatile

    I believe it’s designed primarily for run and gunners, hence why it’s not the shape of the C400, which is production oriented.

    I think micro 4/3 system is a good way for the people who travel and like photography. For me the biggest davantage of micro 4/3 is the Wright of camera and lens. As you have told in you video there are some tiny lens with wide aperture and it is very interesting for landscape and street photography. So I am a strong fan of this system. So I hope this system will survive on the future years.👍

    I fill my camera backpack like I’m on some military deployment and hauling a 50lbs bag 😂. I’m going to break my back soon 💀.

    I have an Olympus EM1 mk2 and it’s still kicking. I have moved on to other cameras but sometimes I like to use it.

      @@SMBYopinion I did one trip. Instead of 3 camera. I am down to 2 on trips but trying to cut down to 1 now.

    I bought my GX80 with 12-32 lens new, for £350. That was a big drop from launch price, and I assume Panasonic had their finger's burnt on compact, rangefinder style cameras. There is certainly a gap in the market judging by the price of a used, 8 year old, 16mp camera. Whether that gap is big enough for fans to pay (1k+?) for a new "budget" equivalent, is another question.
