A toggle bolt will keep the lamp from falling. Unless it's very heavy, or the ceiling is in bad condition, it's not going to pull the ceiling down

A kid’s portfolio would be good for Kelly’s projects. Don’t be afraid to sort through it and only keep the special things, not every single thing that comes home from school.

Get an Expansion Drywall Anchor that fits very snugly in the ceiling hole, and a large screw that fits VERY tightly in the anchor. You should be good to go with the lamp after that.

I suggest that you buy a plastic container which you can use hanging folders inside. That will separate the Art by years and will fit into your cupboard nicely. It will keep the papers dust free as well.

there is a photo scan app that takes really good pictures on your phone of the art. Then I save them in my google photos until I have time to make a photo book on shutterfly for the art work. ONce I scan them into my phone I throw the originals away!!!

You can get books made of all the art. Take photos of it and send it to the company online and order and they will send it to you once it's made. And the frames you can hang on the wall for the faves to keep. I have my eye on these two options for myself for my son's work.

You could hang one shelf bracket and drape it off the end. I would get a new ceiling hook and hang them from that. Patch that old hole with white paint and then you’re done. The ceiling hooks should have some kind of weight limit, they’re designed for plants and they can get heavy.

For the paperwork and artwork thats 2D you want to keep I think you should get file folders, for the 3D art you can keep in the box your son made that was cute and you can add your trinkets in there too. And ı think you should go light in the decorations and wall art at first, since you have lots of clutter still ıt would be better for your mind to identify how to calm the chaos. Good job overall, I think you are such a strong and brave person, your son is lucky to have you as his mama ❤ Sending love 💗

How deep is the pantry? It’s so narrow. You might want to use bins on the shelves that you can pull out easily to get to the stuff in the back.

With your limited space I would pick out a few of your special artwork that Kelly has done and then take photos of each of the others

Yes get a hook with the expander that sits above the inside of the ceiling. They are strong and will hold the lamp with no damage.

It’s so much easier just decluttering a box, bin, shelf or drawer at a time. You are accomplishing something that seems doable in usually a minimal amount of time. Within a few weeks you have accomplished a major goal. I’m working on my bedroom right now but once it’s finished I’m going to try the fish bowl.🥰

Yes, get a ceiling toggle hook and put it in the existing hole. That's a very light fixture and will be fine.

Get a flower hanging basket bracket, I got one from Walmart, and put it in the upper corner of the wall and hang the lamp from that. It's like an upside down L with a hook on the top end. The screws will go into the wall and not the ceiling so you can put them into a stud.

I kept my son's artwork until 2 years ago. He's 32 lol. He didn't want it. I also have a trunk full of his trophies. I just couldn't toss those.

So at Sam’s Club in Council Bluffs they sell this item called Skylight. It’s an electronic organizer, chore chart, menu maker, AND you can upload pictures (Kelly’s artwork) and it will flip through all of them

Pick a couple meaningful art work pieces from each year to keep. Teach him now that is ok to not keep everything we make and do.

Get a toggle bolt, and a hook that goes with it. They have a hinge and are stable yet easy to remove.
