Hey Libby, This is my first comment- just wanted to let you know what a beautiful human you are, you exude light and strength- There will always be internet bullies or folks wanting you to do what they think is best for you- Just embrace the love from 99% of those on this channel who are here to support you. My Mama used to say "you dont pay my bills, so you havent any right to tell me how to live my life" at the time it annoyed me, now that I am 60 years old myself, I think- GREAT SAYING MAMA!
GIRL, you take time with your son. Build memories. YOU are only accountable to yourself & Kelly. YOU don't need to justify any of your decisions. You are doing GREAT!!!! Haters gonna hate!!! ❤❤❤🥰🥰
The comments section is what makes me hesitate to share anything ever. You have a lot of courage. Don't let that stuff get to you. Keep being you. You don't need to explain.
I was gifted a mug by a co-worker it was black and in red letters it said, "Life Sucks and Then You Die," it always put a smile on my face. When my partner of 44-years died I went to get that mug and have a cup of coffee and to my horror I had donated it. Keep your special mugs! 🥰
Girl! First, let me say that I am SO PROUD OF YOU! I am 44 years old, and I can relate to you in so many ways. I’m also a pet sitter, also struggling with mental health, depression, anxiety and self worth issues, and I have had my share of toxic dysfunctional romantic relationships. My dad passed away in 2021, and the holidays have never been the same. It’s a totally different feeling when some of the most important people in your life are no longer here to share it with you. I just came here to say that I think you are doing a great job. None of us have it all together, no matter how it may look from the outside. Give yourself a lot of grace, especially because you’re a mom! I always wanted kids, but it never worked out for me. I can’t even imagine the stamina it takes to do everything you have to do in a day, and be a full time parent. At your young age of only 31 years, you are teaching me valuable principles about boundaries and priorities that I wish I would have understood at your age. You are so much stronger than you think, you are so valuable, and you are so worth it, whatever “it” is. “It” may be your favorite coffee in your favorite mug, or maybe “it” is a well deserved vacation, or maybe “it” is cleaning whatever in your house is going to make you feel good, and give you peace. Whatever “it” is, you’re worth it, and you got this! Thank you for sharing your life with us. Big love to you ❤
People can be rude and mean, but you are doing the best you can and your son will always be first . Just enjoy every second of life with him and family.
You’re doing an amazing job, especially as you work full time as well as having this channel. I love watching your videos as you are being real and authentic. I suffer from severe depression and admire you for putting your life online and opening up about how you feel. Keep doing what you’re doing, you’re doing a brilliant job and have a great channel. Keep being you. Take care Cher x🐾🏴
Live your life as you please, it is your life. I am 68 and haven't done a whole lot of anything other than work and now working and taking care of my elderly sister. Life is short. God bless and be proud of your accomplishments no matter how big or small.
Sending you virtual hugs! You have a lot on your plate, and I’m sorry that people are critical and sometimes insensitive. We’re all just doing the best that we can. You’re smart to take the time to make memories with your son.
Hey Libby, you did a fantastic job🙌🏽🙌🏽Don’t hold your emotions inside. My Dad passed in 2015 and was a coffee lover. Sometimes I can just see a coffee mug or be in the middle of making a cup and break down. You are working on you and whatever that takes then you do it at your own pace. We love you and your son. Take care My Dear 🥰
Libby, I could comment every single video of yours with "I am so incredibly proud of you and I have no idea how you handle all of this". And I was gonna say what you said concerning negative and critical comments (without providing constructive criticism) : People are just projecting. It's evidence of their own misery. It has nothing to do with you. Totally loved this video. It really felt like a chit chat with a friend. I have continously been watching every single one of your videos since storage declutter part 1 (plus quite a few from before after I discovered your channel) and love 'em all, no matter the topic. Keep on doing what you're doing. You're doing a great job and obviously keep on growing. Don't let people tell you otherwise. Lots of love! ❤
A good holiday tradition to have is instead of an advent calendar, have a "Christmas Bucket List" you can get 24 popsicle sticks and write Christmas things to do. Example, make hot chocolate, bake Christmas cookies, make a Christmas decoration or ornament, watch a Christmas movie, etc. Then Kelly could pick one each day!
i think, you could like to listen to remi clog. she doesnt have an "only declutter"-channel, its more about maintaining her home and talking about her life and struggles with the maintaining. i like her very much and i learned a lot from her - more about myself and taking good care of me than about cleaning and decluttering, but still. she is a really great person.
First of all Girl Hi❣Second of all you do not have to apologize for anything to anyone. And yes no one is perfect. The fact that you are taking back your life is awesome. Let no one tell you different. The haters , (who cares about them.) They have no business here. So you continue your beautiful journey and make you proud. Period!
Libby never underestimate how strong you are 💪 Never apologise for crying, my nanny used to always say ‘a good cry was great to wash out your eyes’. Thanks for answering so many questions. You’re great to even do RUclips with full time job, kiddo, dog and everything in between 👏👏👏 Happy Halloween and have a great week. Mary, Joes wife 🙇♀️👏💪👍🙏💐👻🎃🐶
You should feel proud of yourself, you are doing a great job. Like the turtle and the hare, slow and steady wins the race. Wishing you and “the kiddo” many blessings.
A huge reason too why you can and SHOULD go camping now and deal with the apartment later is because you’re in Nebraska which is literally going to be a frozen tundra within a month or two so you’ll have plenty of time to organize and sort 💜 also thank you for the reminder to take PTO, I’m struggling 😢
My sweet Libby, getting rid of your storage unit was absolutely the right decision ! And how blessed you were to have the support doing it from your son and mom. And continue to be blessed with love and support from your Mom. ❤ Yes absolutely no to the dead space storage unit! Just loved this chit chat and chill with you and so proud of how far you have come from when you started preparing for the move in your previous home's passageway. You are doing so well ❤️🩹 its because youve put in the hard work. Every step you took to be better does not go unnoticed xxx My advice as always, keep decluttering xxx Sending lots n lot of love to you 💐
Just to add. Re COUCH. Don't buy the cheaper couch. Maybe the price on the more expensive couch will come down on black Friday sale if you can hang on. Otherwise. Just bite the bullet and save a little longer for the couch you want. If you buy the cheaper couch you'll end up buying twice xxx
In regards to you maintaining your spaces it seems that you are best at maintaining items you are proud/excited about. Example table you built and kitchen stand. As you get living areas better styled to your liking this will flow over your other areas. Also if your son does not currently receive survivor social security benefits as father is deceased please look into it as it relieves a lot of financial stress on the surviving parent. I have 2 sons and was in a rough place when their dad passed suddenly and this really helped. Now it allows me to save for their future.
You are so right! It definitely does seem that way 😂 I love when you guys notice stuff I don't! He does get survivors benefits thank goodness. They aren't much but they help.
Life is hard! Life can be just as heavy as all of those boxes you are going through. I love your strength and poise while speaking your truths. Sending love from Maine!
You’re going great! Emotions of big life change, working through the past and making moves for the future. Tons to do and balance all the stuff in between! Especially in a world not really made for people like us. Part of ADHD is we are always kind of on fast forward and it can be a huge challenge being “intentional” like so many people say these days. Imposter syndrome is sooo real and it is hard to compare ourselves to others when we process the world differently. ❤
My dad always said you have to make your own memories, because when I'm gone things will be different❤ so you have to start new traditions and create new memories to move your life forward. I lost both my parents and my husband. I know how ruff holidays can be. ❤❤️🙏🙏🙏
You rock girl! Keep doing what you are figuring out life one day at a time. We all have struggles and bumps that is life :) You are doing a fine job mamma
Thank you so much for being a friend and sharing don t mind the tears they are healing , you are doing so well and you are getting there each episode shows improvement. Look forward to next episode xxx😁🇬🇧❤️
Thank You, I totally get it, I’m going thru kinda the same thing a lot of what you say resonates my with my life. Maybe ask your mom to put your mugs in her storage unit to save so when you do get that wall you can have them. Keep up the good work, and I don’t think people are listening to how many hours you are working… ❤❤❤❤
I did similar, using 4 tote boxes, a piece of wood to cover the totes and a table cloth to make a coffee table. The other thought for the dog crate is to use it as furniture as well.
I’m from Australia and have recently come across your channel. I love how real you are ❤ It’s really refreshing. Time with loved ones and having adventures is so important and i love how you said the dishes and totes will still be there. Thank you, I find your content really inspiring. Also not sure if others have mentioned but Clutterbug is also a great channel for hints and tips. Sometimes tho it’s best to stay on your own journey and do what works for you and your family. Take care from the other side of the world ❤
You are doing awesome. It’s so cool to see how you’re maintaing everything. You’re doing what works for you and your son. That’s big. I am trying to get on top of my crap and understanding some of my mess doesn’t go away so fast cause partly is a trauma response. God bless. ❤
Very well said dishes and cleaning can wait ! Time with family is time well spent . Very well said! Stuff can be replaced and time can't! Ignore the negative . If you can't say anything nice then don't say anything! You have come a very long ways !
Girl you are killing it I've been watching you for a while now and you are making progress everyday !! You are the boss of your house you do it on YOUR time we will be here for it all ❤❤❤
I can relate to your answers. I am older and gone thru a lot. I feel younger. Even at 55, comments on my videos still get to me at times. And yes, unpacking and housework will always be there. Anniversaries of any sort are hard. Glad you have your sister and son.
I hope that there is a nice comfy couch in your future! I also hope that you can see what we all see, a mom doing her best, putting her kid first and working hard to make a good life for her family! Just keep putting one foot in front of the other. It will all come together in time. ❤️
What you do now is so awesome. I found a lot of the motivation and ideas to get out of my rut after discovering your videos and watching them. I get so much more from them than any others. I have shared with friends and family especially those with ADHD, depression, and anxiety. You have been such an inspiration to all.
Libby, I really enjoy your channel. You are doing great! Don't let anyone tell you any different. I love watching your videos. Thank you for sharing and straight talking. I hope your ankle feels better. Sending you love from Belgium 😊🇧🇪🥰
I am quite new to your channel, I found you when you were moving out of your house, to me, your doing an awesome job Honey, I had to raise four children by myself so I know how scary it is. I think the decision to enjoy small moments like ice cream and weekends away is a smart idea, cause you never know what the future holds. I wish I had of done that more too!!!🥰
I’ve enjoyed this q&a. You’re doing great Libby. I was a nurse for 20 years but then I got a blood cancer & I take a chemo pill daily for life & had to go on disability but I’m also dog sitting at the moment.
Well I think.... we're awesome 😎. You've come so far and I can tell... from watch since we started decluttering the closet under the stairs at the last place.. you've come so far. I'm proud of you 👏🏼
I appreciate hearing the answers to the questions. I don't know why people feel they have to be negative in any way; that's always weird to me. I'm retired now. When I worked outside the home I always felt like I had to do everything right away. Since I've retired I have had alot of projects. Now I make sure I don't pressure myself like I used to. I make a list either mentally or in writing of the projects I have to do and do them individually when I feel like it. I found out that I was the biggest critic of myself and now I give myself the grace I deserve. So, good for you for doing the same.
Libby, you're doing great. You've been through a breakup and the loss of the place you previously lived in. Just keep doing what you're doing and it'll all come together. You're going to have a beautiful apartment when you're finished unpacking and decorating. You are loved, woman. =)
I know the way you feel. I lost both of my parents not even 2 years apart of each other, it does hurt every special occasion that comes and goes. And when it comes to the haters just know that you are doing your best, do not let them bring you down
I recommend Arnica Montana gel or cream for your poor ankle. I lurk all the time with you, and just want to say you are real, you are strong, & you have a wonderful soul that shines through that beautiful face…I see you have come a long long way in making changes for both you & your son. I look forward to your future content! And keep all the mugs you love! I have used the same mug for 40 years which was given to me by my dad (he passed at 69 & I miss him everyday) & I smile every time I drink from it…
Really enjoyed this chat Thankyou Only started watching you since you started moving out of your other place. Helped me understand things thank you The spot you did this video was lovely
I've been in my house now for 13 years and it often looks like "that". There are days when I don't feel like doing anything and the sink piles up. Then there are days when I go mad cleaning because I can't stand the mess. Nobodies perfect and you're allowed to have an off day, heck an off week or two if necessary. There are more important things than house cleaning like looking after you mental health and spending time with your son or your friends and family. You don't need a showhome just a home you feel comfortable in. When my daughter died I was a complete mess and my home reflected that. Sixteen years later I'm disabled and I have a dog and I'm in the middle of slowly decluttering so it often looks like a bomb hit it. But I know where everything is even if it is on the floor. I felt the same way about holidays as you do initially, it was difficult to get enthusiastic. You've gone through some major life changing event so don't feel bad because you're feeling bad about it, you've been dealing with a lot and it does get better but it takes time. Be kind to yourself, don't rush it and if you feel like crying go ahead and do it because I still feel like crying sometimes even now. But then I remember the good times and I'm thankful that she was in my life. And I think you're doing great. Certainly better than I did.❤❤❤
I wish I lived in the same country as you as I would come and help. As a mum who's children's father died when they were very young I can feel your pain. All I can say is things do get better life gets better but there are always tears of what could have been take each day as it comes and go out when you can. There will always be washing up and tidying but it's important to make memories with your son.. ❤❤
I came across a RUclips channel recently called Remi Clog and it seems like you two are on slightly similar journeys. I thought of this when you were naming off different minimalist/declutter type RUclipsrs.
I only found your channel a couple of months ago. You are doing the right thing you work full time you pick up side jobs you pay your bills and most importantly you take care of your son. You are taking your time unpacking because your putting away what you can and your still declutering. It's hard to put away things when you get more furniture maybe shelves it will look great. ❤❤❤
I love watching you because you are real down to earth and that is what we are missing in this platform/social media. You are doing great! ❤ HAPPY HALLOWEEN 🎃
Hi Libby, you are doing an awesome job. You do not have to apologize to anyone. You will have the camping memories with your family forever but no one will care or remember if you are unpacked or not. ❤
I ordered a couch once from Amazon. It was the WORST idea I had. It had recliners on both ends. SO uncomfortable. Just make sure you read reviews. Love your videos and hang in there. You got this. One box at a time and one day at a time ❤
You are such an incredible mum, beautiful warm soul. So intelligent, smart and wiser than your years.Sending best wishes, love, and huge respect to you. Internet safety is so important for our little ones. They need our love, and watch and learn from how we live, respond to things, what we say and do. You are an inspiration to me and me and many xxx Huge respect, hugs, blessings and best wishes xxx ❤
Also keep making memories with your son because they don’t stay little forever. ❤ Kelly will never forget your adventures that you have did. Much love and respect ❤
Always know people will give you advice all the time, your the only one who has the last decision. Don't let what others people words hurt you. Learn to block all the negative advice & block it to effect yourself and mental health. Yes No is my favorite word too. 😊
My apologies if I’ve already mentioned this here, but especially if decision fatigue or sentimental items cause a halt in your progress,I would just it make my goal for now to get everything transferred from bags and cardboard boxes over to plastic totes with lids and then use them as a sofa table behind your new sofa and as coffee and end tables with scarves as tablecloths. Two birds, one stone!🙌🏻🤭. The new, smaller dog crate could have a cloth or board on top,(Lowe’s and Home Depot will cut to measure) and also serve as an end table.
LIBBY... Consider taking a picture of cute mugs and their fun quotes...and then leave the mugs at the store. You get the fun of the item with none of the cost nor storage issues! 🎉
Hello sweetie, you are doing very well. Taking care of yourself and your son have to be your top priority, also do not compare yourself to others we always come up short when we do that. I love to clean my surroundings it gives me peace and allows me to move forward but that is not the right way for everyone so you do you and don’t worry about what others think or say. You have a community here that does admire and supports you. God bless you and your beautiful son. ❤️
The nerve of people to say anything about what you are doing in your life!!! As they sit behind a screen and judge. They should ask themselves that question. You are one person doing it all and doing IT AMAZINGLY I think. Don't listen to that crap. Keep doing your best and that's all that matters!!!!!!!!! PERIOD 👏🏼👏🏼❤️🙏🏼🤗 HAPPY HALLOWEEN 🎃⚰️🪦👻🕸️🕷️🦇💀
Girllll!! Me too! All that you are going thru and feeling is very similar to where I am at in my journey. We even moved into small apartments at the same time and we are both still decluttering and unpacking. I think I comment this over and over on your videos....lol Sorry, but it's true! Sometimes I just cant believe that I found your channel at a time I needed someone that "gets it." Nice to have someone that can relate. Makes my world feel less lonely. I struggle with the holidays and mental health as well. I just want to say that I think you are doing amazing! You inspire me to keep pushing through. I love what you are doing with this channel! Btw.. I am a mug girly too! No shame I support the mug game! 🙌 😅 We must enjoy the little things. Self care is everything! ❤
I'm so grateful to have you to "hang" with. Watching someone with a big beautiful house declutter that seventeenth closet just makes me feel awful. we have a lot in common, and you make me feel better. We're in this fight together.
You’re doing an amazing job mama, ignore the trolls and haters, they are just miserable people and want others to be just as miserable. You do you in your own time! ❤
Don't cry Sis, you do whatever the hell you want. It's awesome. You have the right idea on everything and whatever it is you always own it Not everyone can say that. That's something to be very very proud of. xxx
Libby, never be sorry for being real. Never be sorry for being emotional because you are human. Like I said before one bag/tote at a time. You will get it done. Much love and respect ❤
Dana k white is the best because of "the reality of the space" and the container concept! Dawn is great with how to simplify and go minimal-ish and cass from clutterbug is great for organization and real talk.
minimal mom is most un-relatable to me as a non-parent. but i did take her tips around laundry (piles!) and cooking (no new foods!). i will recommend that you listen to the Clutter Bug podcast if you are looking for body-doubling something to listen to. her discussion of her adhd journey has been really helpful to me and i am in awe of her as a fellow human and woman. i like dana k white for her method.
I bought a couch and kept blankets on it because i didn't like the color. But it was comfortable, price was 50.00. I used for 2 years until i found another used couch
I completely agree with that comment, your doing fantastic keeping on top of your spaces you've set up. I wouldn't look at those cleaning specialist until you are completely set up. Keep doing what your doing, it's working for you ❤❤ sending you hugs xx
Your child will not remember what your money bought. They WILL remember the feelings you gave. Love, support, pride.
Yes❤❤❤❤

Yes, the house stuff will always be there so spend all the time you need for you and your family. The house stuff can wait.
GIRL, you take time with your son. Build memories. YOU are only accountable to yourself & Kelly. YOU don't need to justify any of your decisions. You are doing GREAT!!!! Haters gonna hate!!! ❤❤❤🥰🥰
Your vulnerability is admirable. Don't worry about anyone else's negativity - your responsibility is to create the life that makes you happy!
The comments section is what makes me hesitate to share anything ever. You have a lot of courage. Don't let that stuff get to you. Keep being you. You don't need to explain.

We watch you for a reason, you are amazing and improving so much with YOUR goals. Keep your head up. Love you
I support the idea of buying a couch that you KNOW you will feel comfortable sitting on. Don't make the final decision solely based on the price.
And lay on it in the store. I always regretted I didn’t!

I loved everything about this video! You’re such a special person. Keep shining bright!

You go girl. You are doing a great job. Keep standing up for yourself!❤
You're doing great. I get inspiration from you. You are a great person!
During my "no money" days/years I stacked two boxes, threw a sheet over them and used them as an end table. Embrace the boxes!
I did similar, using 4 tote boxes, a piece of wood to cover the totes and a table cloth to make a coffee table. The other thought for the dog crate is to use it as furniture as well.
You are safe here, girl! Even if somebody try to make you feel the opposite! As always, sending you love from Brazil! ☺️😘❤️🇧🇷
God bless. ❤
Take the time for you and kiddo. As you said, life is too short.
Treat yourself please...you deserve it. You are doing great.
Thank you so much! ❤️❤️❤️
What you do now is so awesome. I found a lot of the motivation and ideas to get out of my rut after discovering your videos and watching them. I get so much more from them than any others. I have shared with friends and family especially those with ADHD, depression, and anxiety. You have been such an inspiration to all.
You're so genuine. I really enjoy listening to and watching your videos!
I wish I had of done that more too!!!🥰
Thankyou for sharing and straight talking - keep being you 👍
I’ve enjoyed this q&a. You’re doing great Libby. I was a nurse for 20 years but then I got a blood cancer & I take a chemo pill daily for life & had to go on disability but I’m also dog sitting at the moment.
You do you Libby. We’re here for you ❤ I truly admire your emotional intelligence and wisdom ❤
Well I think.... we're awesome 😎. You've come so far and I can tell... from watch since we started decluttering the closet under the stairs at the last place.. you've come so far. I'm proud of you 👏🏼
Great vlog, interesting chat, I think you are doing brilliantly, don't stress, one step at a time, one day at a time as ❤
I appreciate hearing the answers to the questions.
You are growing and evolving beautifully. Thank you for taking us on the ride with you.
You're going to be fine. Do it at your own pace. ❤
Feel better. I think you are doing just fine. Take your time, no rush.
Thank you for your candor. You are precious.
I practice Gratitude by taking a moment to be grateful for all the things ❤
I know the way you feel. I lost both of my parents not even 2 years apart of each other, it does hurt every special occasion that comes and goes. And when it comes to the haters just know that you are doing your best, do not let them bring you down
Hope your ankle feels better. Looking forward to see your progress over your 5 day weekend. Remember to take some time for yourself. ❤️❤️
I always love your uploads. A little comfort space. :) i personally watch spacemaker a lot ! Danis series was my favorite
I have used the same mug for 40 years which was given to me by my dad (he passed at 69 & I miss him everyday) & I smile every time I drink from it…
Thanks for being real! We have all been there in our lives! You go girl!
Yes! I think Libby would really enjoy and relate to Remi
It is so wonderful getting to know you better.
libby you are doing great job your son will remember the memories you have given him xx
I just want you to know you are doing awesome and thank you for sharing it helps so much I’m going through some things and it’s hard for me ❤❤❤
The nerve of people to say anything about what you are doing in your life!!!
You are doing a great job on your time and your terms ❤.
minimal mom is most un-relatable to me as a non-parent. but i did take her tips around laundry (piles!) and cooking (no new foods!). i will recommend that you listen to the Clutter Bug podcast if you are looking for body-doubling something to listen to. her discussion of her adhd journey has been really helpful to me and i am in awe of her as a fellow human and woman. i like dana k white for her method.
Thank you for the honesty and tips! I'll have to listen to the podcast!
