That's a nice marina for sure! But the closest parking for the truck and trailer is about 600 feet away. We will definitely hit up Lake Mohave again, we really dug the vibe there. Thanks for watching dude! Do me a solid and hit that like button 🤙😎

This was our second time on Lake Mohave and our first time on this end of the lake and the scenery was spectacular. It really is a beautiful lake and shoreline as viewed from the Waverunners. Lot's of rocky outcroppings to sandy coves the entire lake. Lake Powell still ranks number one but Mohave is a strong second fav. The 113 degree air temp isn't as bad as it sounds. Your constantly in and out of the water. Notice how Lori is pretty much covered from head to toe to keep her skin out of the suns rays. Thanks for watching John!

@@funafter5081 The largest reservoir in the US Lake Mead is 34% of full pool and the the second largest reservoir Lake Powell is at 39% of full pool, both on the Colorado River. Downstream Lake Mohave is at 94% of full pool and Lake Havasu is at 95% of full pool. The water continues to flow well all the way down to Yuma. So to answer your question, yes, we're at low water levels at the two largest reservoirs in the US which is critical for producing hydro electricity and for irrigation of agriculture along the Colorado River. These figures are current as of August 6, 2024. ✌

@@michaelsutherland9180 the SXR800 isn't harder to ride it's just a totally different jet ski. It's a bit lighter and more nimble. My favorite Kawasaki stand up jet ski for sure. The new Superjet is just a bad ass beast, loose and fast! I'm loving my Superjet and I'm team Yamaha all the way! 💥💪👊

The lake was refreshing and the air temp was a dry 113 degrees. It was all good!😎💪👊

@billythephoenix oh OK. That makes sense! I tried for hours on a sx550. Finally stood up but fell every time I turned.

@@ajlukelepuke You have to keep on the throttle in those turns. Like anything new that involves balance, if you keep at it, you'll get it. Stand up jet skiing is pure fun!

The air temp that day 113 degrees and the water was warm. Up the lake below the Hoover Dam is a popular kayak/canoe section called Black Canyon. It's a 12 mile stretch between the Hoover Dam and Willow beach with hot springs, hiking, camping, a few sand beaches and very remote. It's a beautiful place for sure!

It was! The other side of the lake was rocky with rock outcropping islands and turquoise water. This is my second favorite lake on the Colorado River with Lake Powell at the number one spot. We're going back to Powell in September, yewww!!

Yes, the red rock, turquoise water and a blue sky? Extremely photogenic!

It was a great trip that was cut short so we're going back at the end of summer. Powell 2024!

That Superjet was last summer's birthday present to me. We have since got a new Superjet for her. We'll be riding them together real soon!

@@funafter5081 We stayed at The London Bridge Resort on the water at Lake Havasu the first two nights and two nights at Harrah's in Laughlin right on the Colorado river. We rode over 300 miles on this trip and it was all a blast! 💥

@@billythephoenix That sounds sweet! So, I imagine they have parking for your jet skis while you stay at these places, eh? 300 miles is quite a stretch! Sounds to me like the rivers, lakes and waterways have recovered from last years drought then to be able to go that far. Wasn't Lake Havasu messed up last year? Neat stuff bro! Cheers, John

@@funafter5081 always plenty of parking for trucks and trailers. The lakes with the ultra low levels are Powell and Mead. They're up river from Havasu. The water must flow!

Yes it is Emi and in this area the water is cold and the air is hot!

We rode Havasu and Lake Mohave that week and on our way back, Saturday, we pulled into Parker. I saw dozens of stand up jet skis and talked to a guy that said it was Run Whatcha Brung. I've heard of that event and always wanted to go but was completely unaware it was that day. Did you have a good time and what were you riding?

@@billythephoenix The water at Parker was a bit rough to have fun on the ski, but seeing hundreds of stand ups at one place was awesome. Conservatively, I'd say 400 stand ups were between Pirates Den and the dam. We had 5 guys, all on 2T superjets.

I was actually talking to a friend of mine this morning and told him I was going to make a YT video on my Hitch Hauler showing exactly what you're asking. I have a ski on a stand and will load it on the HH and launch and retrieve the ski at the launch ramp. Good question Rocketman! Should be about a week or so.

We love riding there too! I grew up by the ocean surfing all the time. But now I'm all about the bright blue skies and warm water at the river. Can't get enough!!

Hi John! We're having a blast on the sit downs and can ride these all day and can really go the distance. This weekend well be riding the stand up's for the first time this season. We're not slowing down any time soon!

@@billythephoenix The pool cooled down to 86F this morning and is back up to 89F and we’re not at the hottest part of the day yet…and that’s without the heater on! I certainly hope I can show you a turn or two in the green this season. I’ve got an early start so that may help. One letdown though… my new board delaminated in a couple spots my first day out with it. Brian is dropping by next Wednesday to take a look at it. I have to be careful not to let it get hot as the foam gasses off and creates pressure to push the glass off the foam ☹️ Cheers, John

This is the Colorado River and as a result of the dam in our area we have the formation of these small lakes and canals that we're able to access from the main river. Most of the action is on the river where people wakeboard, jet ski, hang out on the sandbars, camp along the shoreline and just relax and float down stream. It's a water playground in the middle of the desert. Also, the Colorado River has the most dams in the US at 15. Six of the 15 dams are built for irrigation while the other nine generate electricity. These days there's just about no other place I want to be but at the river! 🤘

It's about the most fun outdoor activity I can think of when the temps are hoovering around 110 - 120 degrees. We love hanging out in the desert the year round! Thanks for watching Scott!🤙

Yamaha makes fine skis, you can't go wrong with their Waverunners. A VX has so much storage space too. Two weeks ago we rode about 80 miles a day over 4 days and even made it to the bottom, down river side of the Hoover Dam. We did Havasu, Parker, Laughlin and Lake Mohave. Epic times!

I plan on those mods and jet trim for the tray and rails. Thanks 👍

@@billythephoenix I used to ride from the coronado boat ramp up to fiesta island and back down. Probably pretty hard 550. Went south down the strand and met some SEALs who said I was wild going on a ski... well if I'm wild for doing it in a 300 seadoo, you're a madman!

@@billythephoenix thanks man, and same. Yeah I bought it having never rode an sxr before. Had some time on 750s and then last year rode a 4 stroke Super Jet. The new SJ is a fine craft but the SXR is amazing.
