Funny thing, they aren't that different really, but different priorities. Silco is interested in Liberating Zaun at all and any cost. Ambessa will do absolutely anything, (including burning the whole world to the ground) to protect her family's interests.

@KingJosh-u5t Yeah but that partnership would be mutually beneficial, both have more than enough business guile to recognize that, and while yes their personalities and goals are different, they are both extremely intelligent and competent, dedicated above everything to their stated goal, with pursuit of power and dominance over their opponents by any means necessary as primary means to achieve their ends, even though yes the way they go about this vastly differs, with Ambessa being more of a hard power player while Silco prefers soft power approach. In short Ambessa is ultimate wolf, Silco the ultimate fox. Also them valuing loyalty/family above anything else. Not to mention both of them being underdogs in their respective scopes (Silco in Piltover, Ambessa in Noxus) I think they'd have this strange love-hate relationship of disliking each others methods but admiration for the way they go about it. Also no trust whatsoever as they can trust one thing - everything s/he does is in his interest, because that's what I would've done. And yeah, art of people shipping those two together would be hilarious, which might have nothing to do with the plot, byt I don't care! 😄

I love this comment! You're right , Vander was a chill and genuinely awesome guy but a horrible leader. He wanted to keep peace and not even so much as protest against Topside. This mentality would have kept Zaun in subjugation for much much longer. Whatever we feel about Silco, they needed that bastard.

What? The alt universe show that Vander was right. If Silco follow Vander, Zaun would have prospered.

You make a good argument, On Disney "reimagining it for a newer generation", there are ways to do that and still stay true to one of the core themes of the story (which is Snow White finding true love with the Prince.) Rachel Zegler has explicitly said that the new Snow White movie isn't about true love, but rather her fighting her own battles as a girl boss, (which is Wonderful!, and I'm down for it anytime, any day) But that's a different story entirely, now isn't it? That's no longer Snow White. It's recreation not reimagining. And on Rachel's political opinions being external to the film. I'd like to politely disagree. Snow White is a beloved tale for many age groups and backgrounds, young, old, etc. As the actor playing such an important role, you shouldn't be sewing further division in the already very divisive country. You should spread love instead, and really embody the character you portray. Also, it's just common sense not to sh*t on half of your audience, but oh well.

Agree with some of your comments here however, reimagining doesn’t necessarily mean every element has to stay the same. Stories evolve, and with the new generation of kids, there will be a shift in perspectives not a complete dismissal of the original. But yeah you’re right that it’s kinda different, but that doesn’t mean it lacks value as a reimagining-it’s just taking the story in a new direction. ( which snow white isn't just gonna be about a girl who randomly meets a boy anymore ) its gonna be snow white maybe standing up for her self as times changes a bit but still having a poison apple, being the most beautiful in the land, 7 dwarfs and evil queen. On Rachel's political opinions tho, I understand your perspective, but I still believe they’re external to the film itself. Her opinions don’t change the narrative of the movie. Also, Rachel isn't snow-white in real life. I don't need to say that. But remember she's a person with her own set of beliefs separated from the character she's going to portray so I don't get the dig of “Since when was snow white opinionated” ??? Snow white = is fictional, Rachel = is a real person and she's entitled to share how she feels in a matter she deems important like elections.

Some people are very conservative-leaning and often preach about separating people from their work/art and the other side cancelling people just because they don't agree with them. I can’t and no one can really convince people whether they’ll like a movie or not, but if you go into watching the movie already thinking it’s going to be bad because of everything you’ve heard in the media, then yeah, it’s probably going to be bad for you. That’s just how our minds work (confirmation bias). already expect something to be bad, we focus on everything that supports that expectation and ignore anything that might prove us wrong. The same thing happened with the Wicked movie. A lot of people were caught up in echo chambers, saying it was going to be terrible, but when it came out, many of them actually enjoyed it. So, if you let yourself be influenced by all the negativity before even giving a movie a fair chance, you’re just setting yourself up for disappointment

I can agree with you on the story evolving, but it's undeniable that a large portion of the audience really wants their true love story, and maybe to them, they feel disappointed they aren't going to get it. As I said in the video, personally I feel this point is very subjective, some people want girl boss Snow White, some people just want their true love story. It's a matter of perspective. On Rachel's political opinion, let's just say yes, they're external to the film. Doesn't change the fact that she said them. If she said something far more heinous, maybe repeatedly, you can bet that people at that point will take it way more personal, and no matter what she's in (not just Snow White), half her audience are gonna feel some typa way, just knowing she deeply resents them. I fully understand where you're coming from though, it's fun having this conversation with you.

I agree with you 100% on this, confirmation bias does exist. And that's why Disney has to be careful how they're are represented to the audience. Because face matters. That said, do I think the movie will be outright flop, as I said in my video, that remains to be seen. (Although movies with this level of negative reception tend not to fair well--Flash Movie) Personally, I have a lot of issues (especially with the CGI dwarves) that one really got on my nerves. They just look so cheap and fake. But the movie could actually do really well, we'll just have to wait and see.

@KingJosh-u5t yeah, I found out later on that that's the combined cost for 2 seasons not counting the 60 million from marketing. I tried comparing the Average cost of the most recent 6 dream works movies to the average cost of each of Arcane's acts. DW: 81.3 m. Vs AA: 51.6 Arcane is cheaper by roughly 30 million.

I think I agree with you, the real antagonists of the show are the oppressors from Piltover, That said, Jinx has hurt and killed countless innocent people, so she is definitely a villain in that regard. We are all responsible for our individual choices, whatever background we come from.

@@KingJosh-u5t you make a great argument but i think calling her a villain is a little exagerated, she's more like an anti-hero as seen in arcane season 2, she regrets her actions and attempts to make it better and in the last episode of the series she joins the fight against ambessa and viktor causing her to fake her death and "walk away" taking silco's (or just the voice in her mind) advice to stop the cycle of violence.
