Came here because I was told this one is far better then the original one. And boy were they right! The song still sucks but atleast the singer does a better job and he actually sounds like a villain.

Lo grandioso es que corrige muchos errores que tuvo la versión en inglés. Siendo el más importante el de “conmigo viven libres y no cobro por alquiler” mucho mejor que “I let you live here for free, and I don’t even charge you rent” que literalmente es una redundancia. Grande los dobladores latinos! 🎉

Esse é o exemplo claro de que devemos valorizar, e muito, as versões em português que fazem para os musicais de palco no Brasil. As de filmes sao quase sempre feitas de qualquer maneira, sem respeitar a métrica original, quase que traduzindo literalmente. Espero que não facam isso com wicked. Entendo toda a questão da acessibilidade e tal, mas que facam um trabalho decente. Todo o crédito para o Duio que mandou muito bem nos vocais...

This is actually better than the English version. No shade to the English actor, but this does a good job of actually sounding like a villain song despite the pop structure.

No puede ser 🙀 aquí también vienen a atacar a María por su interpretación. Pero no creo que lo merezca para nada. Al final fue decisión de Disney. Ella si tiene experiencia en actuación supuestamente pues ha hecho diversos musicales pero lo que haya salido mal, es culpa de una mala dirección. Yo escuché primero el trailer y aquella voz sonó para mi bastante vieja😅para Asha, no me gustó. Y luego la escuché a ella y me sentí reconfortada. Creo que aún así faltó más caracterización pero es por fallas de dirección. Seguramente la misma María Elisa sabia que ese papel no sería para ella al final

For the ones that don't know spanish, the lyrics are actually kinda better ex.: instead of "I let you live here for free and I don't even charge you rent" he claims "with me you live FREE and I don't charge you rent", eliminating the redundancy and the voice actor does try to sound more villainous and angry while the english va treats it like the pop song disney wanted

Honestly her voice is so beautiful but nothing special so she's just safe choice to me and fits Asha, I still don't understand why Latinas doesn't like her, maybe a bit pop-ish I guess? But I found the mixing on this soundtrack was quite messy for me, there are some parts where she sounds so robotic and offkey, so hopefully the movie version fixes everything...

When the character is supposed to be from Spain but the Mexican voice again outdoes the European one - i think thats a major win ahah. (Though i really like the European one too but....Mexicans take it to the next level).
