Well, I think most British people don't know this, because the victor always writes the history, but what Hitler is to the Jews, Winston Churchill is the same for us Indians, especially Bengalis, he had starved estimated 3-4 million Bengalis to death deliberately by diverting food supplies and resources from Bengal and india to the battlefields of the WW2 and to Europe causing one of the biggest and deadliest famine in world's history. His exact words were " I hate indians. They are beastly people with their beastly religion. They breed like rabbits, let them die. The Europeans, and our soldiers need the food more than them. And if everyone is dying, then why hasn't Gandhi died yet". We couldn't market that and tell the whole world our story, because we never had the money or the global importance like the Jews had. Otherwise Winston Churchill can never be a celebrated figure in this world, which he is today. But as india will rise, and as we will have more money and global significance, I really hope that we can put Winston Churchill's name in the same bracket with Hitler. I obviously don't hate today's British people, none of us hate British people or Britain as a country today.. we don't believe in victimhood..but i personally want that Churchill's truth must come in front of the world. That's all I care about till now, being a Bengali myself. He is anything but a hero.
