This is mostly just for fun. I can’t seem to take anything too seriously. If you are here for genuine and meaningful how-tos or information, you are likely in the wrong place.
Come along with me as I ride motorcycles, work on motorcycles and talk about motorcycles. I'm not the best at any of them which provides additional entertainment value. It isn't always fun but it IS ALWAYS an adventure. If you need regular and routine uploads, this channel probably isn't for you. I upload when I have something to talk about or something interesting is going on.
I currently have a 2023 Honda Trail 125, a 2021 Ural GearUP and a 2018 Honda Goldwing. What will be next?

That didn't go as planned: Honda Trail125 Maintenance
Sometimes things don't go as planned. Those times are more frequent when I am wrenching in the garage. My CT125 suffered more damage than I was expecting but we're making progress. I've got a lot to do and a year to do it if I want to be successful in the 2025 Scooter Cannonball.

The 300-Mile Journey: Why I Took My Honda Goldwing to Buy a Loaf of Bread
If it helps you out with your wife, and you are in the lower 48, I'll buy either one from you at a reasonable price.
I'm thinking about selling a couple bikes but not my Trail.
Chinese clones are wise nowadays, they recycles melt japanese alloys to maintain quality.
I didn't know that but it makes sense.
If price is the only concern then this video is kind of a waste. If theft of intellectual property and outright copying other products bothers you in the slightest then it seems that Honda is the way to go. When you showed the picture I wasn’t thinking that the Wolf looked like the Zonsen, I was thinking it looked like a Trail 125.
Better? No! Equal for less money? Very possibly
I found a 2023 with less than 1000 miles on it near me it has the headlight and taillight bars on it and the front and center rack he's askink 3500 would that be a good deal? Also im 180 pounds and live in pa.
I'd say it would be a killer deal out my way. I think it is reasonable in PA.
Ducati Monster: 0-60 time = 3.3 sec Torque = 81.6 pound-feet of torque at 7,600 rpm Del Mar beats that handily.
I was going to buy the Trail125 back in 2021...but got a Supercub instead 😅😅😅
Could the CSC handle a 230# rider?
I would assume so. The shocks would probably be the biggest issue as they aren't adjustable at all (I don't think). The CSC is about 40lbs lighter than the Trail and the Trail carries my 230lb self around just fine.
@@baldrider Wow, 40 lbs less? I wonder where they saved all that weight? I hope not with thinner frame materials.
I have a Del Mar, and it’s terrific. Excellent quality, badass design. I commute 14 miles each way. I get 80-90 miles per charge, not 50. I take the long way home and still have miles to spare. It only takes me 5 seconds to charge - I plug it in and walk into the house. It’s a blast and makes me smile every time I ride it. And that’s why I ride motorcycles - because they’re a blast.
Worst video ever sry
You need to add $900 to wolf for freight and setup.
@@MichaelAllen-td1uu my numbers included everything
i love this design and concept....So i appriciate CSC Motorcycles giving the opportunity to have this kind of bike when you can't have a Honda....Even if you have enough money to buy a Honda you can still go with the Wolf, so you can save money....And i think it won' t disappoint you even if if it is not at the high end of quality....i think it will worth its money....
I just watched this in its entirety. I think I learned something? Pretty sure that is what you were going for
If you learned something, it was likely accidental. Thanks for watching!
It's probably about the same mechanically. The difference is you don't have to get screwed by the stealership! Motorcycle dealerships are all owned by the same person so they know the customers don't have any choice to avoid dealers that treat you like garbage! I will never buy another bike from a dealership. I will be buying a Chinese bike so I can avoid the dealership!
I'm disappointed that nobody had registered one for the 2025 Scooter Cannonball. Maybe that's just because they aren't available yet. I hope one does it.
I have the same disease. Thus far, I am surviving thanks to a changing and varied supply of motorcycles and a very understanding wife.
I have a 2020 Livewire one. I tend to get about 120 miles per charge. It does suck charging it out in the wild. Trying to find a DC charger can suck. But 97% of my charging is at home. I use my bike for commuting to work everyday as long as it’s not raining. I’m lucky because I can charge at work and it takes all the range anxiety out of it. Plus if something happens I still have enough battery to get home with extra to spare. But with that said in no way would I take my bike in a long long adventure. I don’t trust that the charging station s would be available or working or full. I don’t want to wait hours for someone to charge there car so I can charge mine. Ok. That’s the bad. But this is the best commuter bike ever. lol. That’s not a lie. Just with any bike there’s good and there’s bad.
What does a 13 tooth sprocket add to performance? Love your vibe.
@@wanderinggeri8477 A 13t effectively lowers the gearing. It should help maintain uphill speed better at the potential loss of top speed.
I’m not sure how I happened upon your channel, but I’m sure it was when I was researching the Trail 125 that I never purchased. You’re videos just come across so honest that I just kept going back to see what you were doing next. Maybe it’s watching someone bumble their way through repairs the same way I do, or losing the tool that was in my right hand and now I can’t find it because it’s in my left hand. I guess I said all that just to say great video.
Thank you. There are too many videos on the internet showing how easy things are. I prefer to make videos showing how difficult someone can make them.
Another great unfiltered video indeed! Thank you. May I have a little recommendation? Since you have the service manual, maybe reading it before you do some of the jobs will reduce some frustration.
I could do that. It doesn't seem to go better for me, though. The end result tends to be the same.
Your intro noise is ear jarring.
This makes me glad I don't film my scooter repairs and upgrades. Picture doing these jobs, but outside, between rain showers, and suffering from biting black flies.
That would be better practice for the cannonball.
@@baldrider Ha! I guess I will find out how well that practice will serve me.
HAHA I love it! and GoPam is the wrong TOOL for many jobs lol and.....nice Deck!
Do you think it is just the outer part of the rim that needs bending back or is the whole wheel slightly ovalised (is that a word) and is the other rim OK?
It’s just the one side. It still holds air. I’m going to have a rim shop fix it. Eventually, I will learn to do it myself if this keeps happening but I just want it fixed correctly instead of whatever it is I do
@@baldrider I think you got a bit unlucky there - I cannot ever recall hearing of another CT bent rim, even amongst the most extreme offroaders
The jeep trail I was on was really bad. I am also not a great offroad rider and it was pitch black except for my headlight.
I have a Honda Monkey and it uses the same engine as your Trail 125. Mine has a sight glass for oil level. I find it odd yours does not.
I'd rather have a sight glass than the element oil filter if I had to choose.
@@baldrider Mine's a 2024 model. It has both a filter and sight glass. I hate dipsticks, lol.
I just realized that all of the bikes I currently own have dipsticks. I didn't even know that was a thing until I bought my Ural.
Did you adjust the chain? Looks tight, but I have no idea how it should be on the Trail.
Yes, it is adjusted. 1.25" on the center stand.
@@baldrider cool. I’m so used to my DR650 looking floppy. Thanks again for another great video showing the real side of motorcycle life!
@@lilalsadv9949 I think because the suspension has so little travel compared to the DR, it is more streetbike-level freeplay. Thanks for watching. My videos aren't for everyone!
Overall great vid, that GPS upgrade is one hellva bonus!
The installation of the GPS has been a challenge. I've decided not to film the install but I will have one of the results. I need better placement of the DJI Mic 2 because it was hell trying to salvage the audio. First time using it, though. Not having to sync in post might be worth it. Haven't decided yet.
@@baldrider Looking forward to see how it turns out. I have an old phone I use for GPS, but I have been very tempted to go with an upgrade. I think there is going to be a bike build in my near future so that might be a thing. The beard is a challenge for lavs, but well lav mics do give the best audio quality for this type of video. I would suggest. getting a wired lav and hooking it up to your jumpsuit mid chest, that would probably give you the best results.
I have a wired lav but was trying something different. The best results I get are when I attach it to my forehead.

Is this Bear Lake?
I have literally just had a test ride on the Del Mar, about 2 hours ago. It started at 100% charge and I rode it for 30 miles. When I handed it back to the dealer, it was showing 75% charge. Those are facts, not the uninformed speculation of a youtuber. Would I like more range? Yes, but realistically probably enough for what the Del Mar would represent to me. If I wanted to go touring through the Alps, I'd choose a different bike, but boy oh boy, the Del Mar would actually be a hoot up and down those passes. Handling is terrific, it's light and chuckable and oh so fast. Personally I'm bored of idiots like this youtuber who quotes stats that don't suit them and raise their eyebrows as if they are the arbiter of what is right and what is not. So he doesn't like electric bikes (obviously). Fair enough. That's his opinion. Mine is quite different and I doubt he has any bikes that appeal to me in the slightest. Does that make me 'right'? No, they're just opinions. Just as his outpourings are mostly just opinions and as irrelevant to anyone else as are mine. Then when he gets to facts, like the Del Mar makes 194 foot pounds at the motor, he raises his eyebrows again and essentially claims it's a lie. Clearly he knows nothing about engineering, nor about how torque is produced and transmitted to the ground to push you along. Don't waste your time watching this. Go somewhere else and watch something worthwhile.
Well said 👏🏾
Also, his opinion is based on ONE review. I just don't understand how you can make a video about a bike not being good without even testing it for yourself. 😮💨
Im 45 and just bought a zx4rr.. your spot on lol!
I'm looking to do the same thing at 40. Don't need speeding tickets or riding 100mphs on the freeway with the big boys. Coming from a couple years with a Grom. What you think? How's it been treating you.
@@Medicbobs Its a fantastic bike. If it appeals to you, I see no reason not to buy it. Its beginner friendly for sure.
I’m 57 y.o. and I just bought a Zx-4RR anniversary. My first Kawasaki and my first sport bike with a a displacement below 750cc. And I’m having a lot of fun .
Had the same "problem" yesterday. Book say 850ml. I put the entire 946ml and still miss little bit
I'm due for another change. I didn't measure the oil in the bottle and assumed I wasn't shorted. I may do that this time.
It’s not too “small”, but it is a bit underpowered. There should be a 200-250cc model capable of going at least 60 for short stretches. Then you could do short jaunts on urban expressways to connect slower routes around town. That would be a capable city bike. 125cc pretty much limits you to your neighborhood and slightly beyond.
Scooter Cannonball 2025 is a go! 3500 miles in 8 days. This bike is up for that, right?
"Three of the Ho's are lined up great. One of the Ho's is not." My life story & welcome to it. >>>> <<<< I'm kidding. Great video.
Freeway speeds in total silence...Sensation of "I'm about to die." I'm gonna pass on this one. I'll ride my FX
Sadly, without dual channel abs it won't be available here in Oz. We lost a lot of good small bikes due to govt regs, including the CT125 trail...
There should be an exemption for small displacement bikes or something over there. The brakes on these bikes are already pretty soft. I think you'd have to try really hard to lose traction by braking.
@@baldrider it's crazy, manufacturers don't want the added expense of dual abs on small cap bikes with low purchase prices. The Grom, Monkey, Supercub, XR190, CB125E & CT125 were lost along with many others.
Thanks for sharing. I own a Honda Ruckus and would have to trade it for the Honda Trail 125 if I pursued it. At this point, I'm hard pressed to give up my Ruckus, but the Trail 125 is more practical for around town travels lol. My only issue with my Ruckus and why I am considering a Trail 125 is the Ruckus tops out around 42MPH and my local roads go up to 60MPH... I chance myself a lot going through those 55MPH areas on my Ruckus lol.
I have had my Trail for just over a year now. I have no regrets. It is not particularly practical for touring, though, as I have committed to do. I would like to have a Ruckus but my area is too hilly for it to pull my large-self around. Maybe if I weighed half as much.
I had a Ruckus prior to my CT 125. I sold it privately, and used that as a down payment. I used my Ruckus to run errands and quick grocery shopping. Once I get the foldable crate, the CT will fill that niche quite nicely! Do I miss the Ruckus? Sure. But the CT is way better in all aspects to the Ruck.
@@baldrider That's fair lol. I'm still considering the CT125 for running around and doing errands. However, I prefer the CVT and being able to leave the house with sandals on... not so with the shifter on the CT125. Also, maintenance and overall costs to running the Ruckus is super convenient and low. IDK, perhaps the ADV160 could be in my near future? Still mulling it over. The Ruckus is a classic and I enjoy running into other Ruckus riders... especially relating to the pain and agony of just being too slow at times and trying to stay out of people's way ha ha.
I have one and love it oh and by the way did I mention that I'm 59 years old 🤣, oh I rode the original from the 90's on a track here in USA better known as ZXR400 including the smaller brother ZXR250 man what a bike it was back then and my insurance actually went down from my previous bike which was a Z650 and that was with full cover yes I agree it should a 1k cheaper but overall the ZX6R Will still cost you way more because you are forgetting tax's and Insurance because it is based on the size of the bike .
I think you are the perfect target market for this type of bike. It is a great bike but certainly not meant for new riders. It could just be where I live or my insurance company but it bases rates on configuration before displacement. A parallel twin of a larger displacement is going to cost me significantly less than this inline-4. On the opposite end, my 1833cc flat-6 in my Goldwing costs me signficantly less to insure than any sport-y bike.
Like Ben, I’ve got over 3500 real world miles on my S2 Del Mar. I’ve been posting all my rides. I Avg 80-100 miles Highway on a single charge. My 30%-50% charge is maybe 15 mins. Yes its $$$ even with the $1000 rebate and $1000 state rebate ($2000 total). It’s nice not having ANY maintance bills all year. And it costs me about $1:16 to ride per 100 miles. My 40-50 mpg bikes about $7.60-$15.50. It’s so nice to have an automatic full tank of gas every day when you wake up in the morning. But hey, all bikes have compromises. Is this a fatal flaw not even close this is quickly become my goto daily rider. I usually don’t review bikes that I’ve never ridden our owned personally, but I guess that’s just me.
