I think Arteta did have a mare the weekend with the subs. Everton offered no threat going forward. If Rice had to come off fair enough, but he should have brought on Jorginho or Partey and nwaneri and left Odegaard on. I felt he killed the game. No need for the overreaction tho you're right.

If we were more devastating going forward we wouldn't have every team in the league thinking they can get a result by sitting in a low block every weekend. We need to break their spirits before the game starts by being more dangerous. We need to stop this unfounded narrative that Declan Rice is good at covering the defense. He is not. He is actually quite poor actually. The reason is he is always out of position. Rice doesn't play his position but rather roams all over forcing the team to adjust to accommodate him. This is the cause of Chelsea's goal, Rice, who is our left 8 was nowhere near where he should be. He was at right center half covering for Saliba even though Partey was already covering for Saliba. After the goal the coach immediately subbed Rice.

Rory I think it’s disingenuous to say everybody is jealous of arteta, he’s achieved nothing as a manager, and any manager or normal person would have preferred to be a top class player than a top manager, arteta in his prime was a half decent player. I think it’s also disingenuous to say arteta earned the Arsenal job by doing well putting the cones out for pep, that makes your club look a bit tin pot.
