Heavy on the ’mate’ case, hearing var checks where They call eachother nicknames is appaling

Automated offside will be a game changer. Scrap all other VAR other than reviews of "Dangerous play"

I couldn’t agree more. The idea of VAR objectively is great, it’s there to correct any errors the on field officials have made but it just hasn’t gone as smoothly as it should’ve.
There should be a clear set of rules from the beginning of the season which are implemented correctly right until the end, there are way too many inconsistencies in rules atm 😤

For me the bing thing is consistency. At this point I don’t care what a foul or handball is, I just want it to be the same week-to week. For example if Viera gets sent off early in the season then the foul on saka is a red card too. And that’s just one example of things given one week and then not the next.

Exactly my point. The rule changed week in week out, how are we meant to know what’s handball and what’s a straight red etc.

I want more var rather than scrap it. Here’s the one thing to keep in mind thou.
Var or no var will never get 100% of all decisions correct. With that said here’s the fix.
    1. Send the ref (on field) directly to the pitch side monitor on all var reviews. There is zero point in the in field ref standing there with his dick in his hand waiting for someone to tell him he’s wrong or to go and review it on the monitor anyway.
The on field ref needs to be involved in the var process.
    2. All new, var speciality trained refs. An on field ref cannot operate var the same way he would ref in person. With the use of technology they (the trained var officials) will spot way more mistakes than any ref team in the field could possibly do.
We need to see the var process like rugby does, you literally see the official watching the incident.
    3. More tec to rule out errors.
    Automated offside is one step.
But we need more cameras across the goal lines so we dint have the Newcastle out of play goal.
Those things all get us to a perfect place. Not 100% all the time but so much better

I love how everyone bitched about the disallowed goal in a game we were far far better in but no one said a word about the exact same disallowed goal last season against Leicester
I don’t even have to mention the brentford offside or the Newcastle goal
All in all honestly , they can cry about it.

    It is not VAR.
It is the betting cartels and big financial interests that are bribing officials, the PGMOL and the F.A.
VAR is a tool they have to assist in rigging matches when instructed to do so by their paymasters.

You guys are the ones mixing things up just because you want to be seen to be fair. The rule is clear. Kai's foul is a penalty and Bournemouth's goal was ruled out correctly. That has been the rule for decades. These fouls have been called against Arsenal in the past and these same people moaning now called them correct decisions then. Maybe you just started watching football 2 seasons ago, but that has been the classic rule. Stop shortchanging yourselves.

In regards to communication it’s atrocious. I was watching the Brighton, Villa game earlier today and saw fans actually having to get a stream of the game up on their phone just to see why their goal was disallowed. No fan should have to do that 😑
