I wasn't able to watch the match but I was surprised to see Zinchenko starting and Havertz in midfield. Massive chance to beat a Villa team without Douglas Luiz, advantage City now unfortunately

If we capitalised on at the very least 1 chance by halftime then the second half is totally different. Kind of embarrassing this game.
Absolutely terrible in the second half, I don’t know why arteta hasn’t tried zinny in the LCM role and tomi in the left back position. I hope I never have to witness zinny play for arsenal again but at some points in the game he’d fit in the midfield next to rice but I don’t know I hope we can bounce back and just pray we win our final games and see where it leaves us but as always we are left disappointed
I think arteta needs to be talked about more. This squad has some very amazing players. But yet we can never seem to cross the line with anything at all. During that run we have had since Dubai, nobody talks about arteta but when we loose all the sudden we do. I still think he needs to be questioned for his mentality. No one is doubting his ability to put out a good squad in win 25+ games a season
This game just highlights once again our priorities. We were nowhere near prolific enough today, we need a striker. Other than that the all round squad depth is poor, Arteta was punished for rotating this afternoon but if he didn’t he’d of been punished on Wednesday. Big summer ahead 😤

@@RoryTalksFootballhow many summers will it take for us to put together a title winning squad? I get arteta had 2 seasons to rebuild this squad. Xabi Alonso turned Leverkusen around in 1 season in his first full season. Might even break bundesliga liga points record.
@@Iceify_two different leagues and two different scenarios, we against pep, probably the best coach of the generation with the best team ever assembled, it's not that easy...let focus and see what we get at the end
@@makei89 yeah I agree it’s hard to win vs Pep, but it can be done. Arteta needs the mentality and the ruthlessness to do it.

i have completely lost the last bit of hope i had in zinchenko
disgraceful performance, could've played other players to rest our main squad ahead of the cl game.
I had a feeling with the run of games we had left that it was going to be a bit too much for this team. I rate a lot of these players and other players have really stepped up (Kiwior being the biggest example). Yes, we do have a much stronger squad than last season, but like it has been said many times before, we don't have good enough squad depth for key players/positions. Saka is quality, but he can't be expected to start every single game, same for Odegaard and even Gabriel and Saliba need to have times where they can rest. This summer, we need to buy another 3/4 top players and sell some players (looking at Nelson, Nketiah, Ramsdale and probably Zinchenko, amongst some players that are on loan as well).
On the game yesterday, I did worry when I saw Zinchenko starting and Havertz in the midfield. I don't understand why mess with a winning formula. It's a shame that it looks like we won't win the league, as city have the experience and the easiest run in....but definitely a big opportunity missed. Even if we had drawn, it would still be a big ask for City to drop points, but a draw is better than a loss.
What this has shown us is we wouldn’t have been able to deal with that pressure that would be put on us at spurs away if we were top going there and arteta has to take some blame

I get the frustration, it was an absolute sh*t second half! But to say it's over is a bit early imo. We will play 2 prem games before City play their next game, and if we can convert those then we might be looking quite good. I think last years collapse is playing tricks with our minds and if the team learnt anything from last year, this will be the time to show it! City's advantage, but not their title just yet. Just hope this doesn't impact the atmosphere at the Emirates negatively.
How many bottling and phases we need? Can anyone give a definitive answer?
Some fans need to be realistic. Pay attention to details in December. The champion league take a toll and Arsenal lost 3 games
Man City had tough games in March, and they had more draws. They had depth, and Arsenal doesn't.

Games like this happen but what is unacceptable is the disrespect to villa. This is a team that is 4th beat us and are a great side. So y is mikel the players and the fans acting like this game was luton. There was almost a feel from everyone that we would just stroll out and villa would roll over for us. Mikel does this all the time when we are on a roll he takes it one game at a time but one bump (Bayern) he freaks out and he looks forward and changes the lineup and bottles it happened last season. Mikel needs to take a step back and say look it’s not in our hands but now it’s about one game at a time
Overreaction from me- Arteta never wins the league with Arsenal. Anyone with 2 working eyes can see Havertz can’t play the 8. He wasn’t bad but we lack presence there without him and lose control of games.
Never want to see Zinchenko or Jesus start for Arsenal again. Both an embarrassment.

This Villa team conceded 7 goals in 2 PL games, if Arteta kept the team we wanted we would've won I'm positive.

I think criticizing Arteta for basically shielding his players is not daft. We have a very important game on Wednesday. He can't come out and start verbally destroying the players. I imagine his locker room talk was quite different
