If we are looking at our performance based on goals conceded this year, I’d say we’ve only conceded 2 goals, the goals against Liverpool and Brentford were handouts! We literally scored ourselves in both games 😂😂😂

I did say to you very recently that Zinny was a problem against Luton. We saw it in UHD today. He is a genuine worry and a glaring weakness. Brighton were literally attacking us incessantly down our left hand side trying to capitalise on his error-prone defending. Ben White v Enciso was SERIOUSLY entertaining. If I’m City, I get rid of Grealish and grab him ASAP. That being said, this was a funny game. It was comfortable but also very nervy, and that’s because of some very poor finishing. He has no clinical bone in his body. Martinelli buries at least 2 of his chances. Credit to our defense and Raya for not letting Brighton punish us for our lack of efficiency up top Calm game overall. Really looking forward to Bayern. But we need to be clinical against them because Harry Kane will be the best striker we’ve faced all season, and he loves a goal or two against us. We need to go up 2-0 and let them implode
My favorite part of the game was the 15 minutes of super stinky simione ball we just pulled out of nowhere in the 2nd half ending in trossards goal, White literally just booting the ball up the pitch with no outlet😂

Im not the biggest Zinny fan, so far be it that I appear like a Zinny apologist / zealot. I do think his defending gets targeted because he is the weakest defender - compared to Gabriel, Saliba, White... even Kiwior gets targeted and we think he's a good defender. So of course if you have to face more attacks, there's more chances you make an error. 2, Zinny as left 8 makes sense, but, I wonder if its some tactical bait and switch playing him defense. By ensuring the opposition will concentrate their efforts down the left, you control their passing options and avenues of attack. They become more predictable, and you can exploit overloads on the opposite end. Just a thought.
Bit harsh on Zinny. Yeah the injuries are frustrating and he hasn’t played much at all this season so he’s still knocking off some rust and getting back to game fitness and sharpness. The streets don’t forget how transformative of a player he was and can still be for us once he gets back to full fitness and sharpness.
For me the penalty is definitely a pen despite the touch on the ball as lamptey isn't trying to win the ball imo, he's making the challenge and as Jesus cuts inside the ball hits lamptey rather than lamptey getting the ball
