Welcome to the Allegheny Northern, a fictitious line Owned by Norfolk Southern in which CSX has trackage rights. Originally a heavy coal haulage line, regulatory burdens and market demands have switched the tonnage from coal to intermodal, chemical, manufacturing, and a small percentage of lumber and scrap traffic. The line exists in the Allegheny mountains somewhere between Pittsburgh and Harrisburg, PA.

This channel is dedicated to following the progress on the layout and sharing helpful tips and tricks that are discovered during the process.
