DIY Power Rack Attachments using VEVOR Bench Grinder
This was a good review. Well done
Thank you kindly!🤘🙏💪
awesome!
Thanks! 👍
Amazing! Definitely building this. Btw when I need casters I just a buy a harbor freight rolling cart for like $12 and get them off of there. The weight capacity of the cart is 1000# (I believe). You normally end up saving a couple bucks. They are as nice though.
Awesome! The casters I bought were also from Harbor Freight. Got a good deal on them.
So the platform just sits inside the rack on the two bars? There's nothing keeping them in place, yeah? Couldn't the two boards possibly slide inwards? How do you prevent that from happening?
@@Superman-xr1oh the center piece has pieces of 2x2 wood on the bottom which keep the two other pieces from sliding inwards. All this being said, I prefer this design much more: DIY Belt Squat Blocks System #beltsquat #diygym #garagegym #homegym ruclips.net/video/qMdxr2vM_Bc/видео.html
Instead of cable, use the no stretch ropes that are used on a sailboat to raise the sails, called Halyards. They are specifically made to go in pulleys and can take tons of wind pressure on the sails. Also far easier to work with.🏴☠️
Good tip. However, the ropes can get tangled up much easier, so there is a tradeoff.
I have a Body Solid F.I.D. bench with leg extension/leg curl attachment (Which is easily removable). I love it, I've had it for 8 years and it's held up very well. It's pretty versatile for just a bench, underneath the end of the back rest pad are 2 handles you can use for doing dips or holding onto when doing leg curls. You can also store it standing up right some what easily (It's heavy). I don't see myself ever getting rid of it. I do however plan on getting a power rack with a lat tower setup like the RITFIT PPC02, Is there anything like it you recommend looking at??
What is your budget and what are your individual fitness goals? If you Hit me up on email we can discuss designbuildlift@gmail.com 🤘💪🙏
How is the roller pad quality?
Fairly dense. Definitely good for the price point, but not commercial quality. Let me put it this way, I am selling my Body Solid GLEG, and keeping this.
@ thanks brotha! Just had to know before I confirmed my order.
Great comparison. There’s no comparison.
100% ! 🤘🙏💪
If you're considering this Smith machine, do yourself a favor and pick it up from Temu for $300 shipped...
I wonder if it is identical. The version in this video is the Version 1.0. However, the one you buy now from Ritfit is the 2.0 which has several updates.
@DesignBuildLift It's for sure the original 1.0 without the improvements.
Definitely going to apply the P.A.N.I.S. and S.H.A.T. methods. You mentioned you had some cohabitants with sensitivities. Did the S.H.A.T. method eliminate the problems for them, and does it still smell like rubber in the basement?
The SHAT method eliminated the odor. No smell whatsoever. All is well. I hope your PANIS implementation is very successful!
Anyone else notice any issues with the pad-side front foot lifting off of the floor while using it? I know my floor is a little uneven but shimming sure hasnt worked
I have not had this issue.
@DesignBuildLift I'll have to play around some more. Hopefully not a weld issue
It’s junk. Customer service is horrible. Just getting the right part sucks. Don’t buy
Which one?
It’s junk. Customer service is horrible. Just getting the right part sucks. Don’t buy
What issues did you have?
How much space in front of the machine would you need to comfortably use the cables for something like cable crossovers or chest flys?
Depends upon how long your arms are, but generally speaking I think you would need about 4 feet to comfortably do those exercises in front of the rack. 🤘🙏💪
Any thoughts on this vs Lionscool v2.0? Looks promising.
I like how the seat declines for probe leg curls on the Lionscool, but it looks more cheaply made. That being said, I would love to test it out.
I was minutes away from purchasing the MIKOLO M4, glad you changed my mind. Thanks
You’re welcome! 🤘💪🙏
Same thanks for the comparison
Anyone that purchased this did you notice that the Mikolo machine is literally identical and that is not the only machine that is identical.... I think Syedee, GMWD and Mikolo are the same company or have ties of some kind
New follower. Love the breakdown. Was wondering and looked online are there any companies that sell metal Olympic sleeves... I literally looked it up on Google on any type of site that I could timu etc and could not find anything but the plastic of different companies.... I will say that the sleeves from the Syedee leg press are thicker and actually do hold the clamps.. Maybe if Syedee or GMWD sells just the sleeves those could be another option....
I have not seen metal Olympic Plate Adapters either. I wish someone would make them. Could be a lot of uses for them. Thank you for supporting the channel! 🤘💪🙏 I appreciate it!
I'm about to buy this machine and didn't even notice that you could do dips on it that's pretty rad that you saw that function
Was just wondering if this could be done😂
Please let me know how it works for you! 🤘🙏💪
I was about to think of my own way but you already did it. Damn good work my friend. You just gained a subscriber
Thanks, man! I appreciate it! 💪🙏🤘
Great review!!!!! Thank you
Glad it was helpful! Thank you! 🤘💪🙏
Thank you for the comparison. I've a Mikolo M3 at the moment, and while I like it, I'm looking to upgrade maybe this summer. Looking for racks with dual plate loads, aluminum pulleys, and a healthy selection of attachments. The incoming RitFit Buffalo and Major Lutie B52 are my current top options but I've got 6 months in my time table to look at options. Doesn't seem like the Mikolo M4 will be on the list.
I hope to get my hands on the Buffalo and the B52 some time soon. Thank you for supporting the channel! 🤘💪🙏
Option 1 works for me because I don't have a rack, but if I did 4 would be my favorite
Excellent choices! 🤘💪🙏
This is a great comparison thank you bro!
Appreciate the feedback! 🙏 Thank you!
Ingenious!! Just what I am looking for. Thank you!
You're welcome! Let me know if you have any questions. 🤘🙏💪
Are the ritfits on Amazon all v2.0 now? How can you tell it apart from 1.0?
No. The regular one on Amazon is the 1.0, and the PRO version is the 2.0 model . Link here: amzn.to/3Xq16b1 🙏💪🤘You can easily tell the visual difference by looking at the pullup bar. The 2.0 pullup bar has an 45-ish degree angles on the sides making it taller than the 1.0 which is completely flat. Also the 2.0 has aluminum pulleys and the 1.0 has plastic pulleys. For all the differences, watch this: ruclips.net/video/XX20RmsN0OE/видео.htmlsi=8Oimgyx7K_u3MqPz
The RitFit also has barbell storage on the back, which is nice! I will say that the RitFit has the same issue with the pull-up bar if you are facing the rack (the joints are in the optimal hand position). However, you can just flip around and do pull-ups inside the rack to avoid that issue. I am loving my RitFit rack and just grabbed their leg curl/extension machine.
Nice! Yeah - really enjoying the Leg Extension/Leg Curl🤘🙏💪
@@TheQuestKids @designbuildlift can you do leg extension/hamstring curls with the ritfit somehow? Or I guess the best thing would be to get a bench that has the attachment? What's a good bench to consider?
You can do one legged leg curls with ankle cuffs. If you are looking for a bench: ruclips.net/video/VIOOE7UlR6M/видео.html However, I prefer this if you have the space: ruclips.net/video/nLwPwko5KgY/видео.html
First option is the old, but commonly used lineman’s system of raising loads up a pole or tower.
I had no idea. Very cool! 🤘🙏💪
Do you know the weight ratio for the pulley system? Is it 2:1? Thanks!
The website says 3:2. My measurements are here: 4:15
Can you try to not use the language? Great video but your simple comments I don’t care for. Thanks
Not sure what you are referring to.
I struggled with this and went with the Ritfit M2.0
Nice!
You could actually tie the smith bar at the highest point
Yes. A lashing strap or two would do the trick. 🤘🙏💪
Just bought one because of the reviews
Nice choice!
Hello I am new to this channel, and just came accros these reviews, I wished to come accross this channel before as I just bought a Mikolo M4 two day ago and now I am concerned with the Smith machine that seems so bad and noisy as that was one of the reason why I am changing my cage rack to the Mikolo. I tried to look for the RitFit but I live in London (England) and couldn'y find a reseller. such a pety as the price between the two brand is very similar. However, any idea how we could fix the problem with the Smith machine? Thank you and by the way I have now subscribed to your channel.
Not sure. Can you cancel your order?
@@DesignBuildLift if you have no suggestion how to improve the Smith, to make it less noisy, sloppy, etc, I will try to cancel the order now. Thanks anyway.
I like Ritfit. I ordered their Preacher Curl bench, and had some questions beforehand. They were very nice and responsive. I may some day sell my Leg Press and get their Leg Press Hack Squat combo, the new one with a high weight capacity
I received box 1 of 3 today for their new Leg Press. Box 2 and 3 should arrive tomorrow. That review should be out later this month.🤘🙏💪
Hi- great video! Question if I may: With my power rack, what do you think of using the same method and materials to build DIY Pin & Pipe safety bars for my bench press? I would need a 36" pipe and I would secure on the front frame and the rear frame, on both sides. Thanks!
Updated Version of this video is here: ruclips.net/video/ZT26I7Ss1A0/видео.html . Your idea will work if your rack has 1" holes. That being said, you could just use 1/2" plumbing nipples instead of 3/4" and then you will not have to do any grinding. The 3/4" will be able to handle a greater load than 1/2" though. Either way - these are hollow pipes and will bend if a heavy load is dropped on them. Honestly, since we are dealing with safety here and the fact that those 36" nipples are not cheap...I would just buy pin pipe safeties. In fact, these ones from Bells of Steel MIGHT BE cheaper than DIY-ing: tinyurl.com/DBL-BOS-PPS
Great vid!
Thank you, Brian! I appreciate it!😎
Great design. I would like to build one of these but use it as a surf trainer (similar to the vertical skiergs) but i would be lying on a bench and the unit would be in front of me. How would you incorporate 2 ropes/pull handles to simulate surf paddling/ thank you
Thank you! Just clip them onto the pulley like I did first my Stirrup handle.
Wish the inside was matte black and the text white. 🤷♂️
Aren’t there already tons of options that fit that description?
@ not wrapped in Chrome
Actually insane your timing on this review. I had narrowed my selection down to either of these and helped me choose ritfit. Unfortunately the M1 Pro with aluminum pulleys is a little too pricey - will it make a big difference if I go with standard pulley cables?
If you watch this video, I compare the M1 Version 1.0 and the 2.0. Link here: ruclips.net/video/XX20RmsN0OE/видео.html The Version 1.0 is also very smooth. You should still be goo to go with the Version 1.0
@ thanks for the quick response! I’ll check it out
When are you going to do a RitFit BUFFALO review/overview?
Hopefully soon... @ritfit.sports - the people want this to happen.😄
Thanks for the review, just went ahead and bought my ritfit M1, excited to get it in the mail.
Awesome! You will be very happy with it! 🤘🙏💪
If there only more people like you to review stuff on youtube lol. Got my like
Thank you so much, Guighee! I appreciate it! 🤘🙏💪
This is making the mikolo look baaaaaad
Based on what I showed you, how much would you pay for the Mikolo M4?
@DesignBuildLift assuming I’m Elon musks son and he passes away and I inherit everything I would pay $5k. Assuming I’m not I would say $500
$500 it is. 😄
@ how long do you honestly think a ritfit m1 2.0 would last?
Regular use? Multiple years, and then you would likely yearn to upgrade to a 3x3 rack.
Have you reviewed the M7? How does it compare to the M1 2.0
I have not. It looks nicer than the M4, and is only $150 more. The M7 might be way better than the M4 - but maybe only marginally better. A few things that concern me: The website description of the Smith component for the M4 and M7 have the exact same description: “Linear Bearings Smith Bar for seamless movement” … and as I demonstrated in this video, the M4 Smith sucks. Further the M7 has the Smith design where the hooks go into holes (instead of attaching to pegs). I prefer pegs. I saw a review recently on another budget smith (Brand = Snode?) where the hooks actually ripped the steel (with low weight). Not sure about this…but purely speculation on my part since I have never actually used the M7.
I have the M4, i actually chose Mikolo over the Ritfit because of the side storage, I have Olympic plates and not bumper so do not have the storage versus pully issue. This video would have been valuable when I bought the M4 on Prime Day for $850, I would likey have chosen the Ritfit had I seen the comparison back then. I replaced the nylon or plastic pullys with alloy on the main pully slots. I dislike the smith functionality the most and agree it is very rough. But the cable attachments and benching from the j-cups is fine, no complaints there. I wonder if Mikolo fixed some of the issues brought up in this video with the M7.

Do you know if eva foam is ok for bedrooms instead of home gyms? Does it need to go on underlay or can it go directly on timber floorboards?
I am unaware of any issues. Kids bedroom?
I've watched several reviews on this equipment and your review is the best so I appreciate it
Wow! Thank you so much! Very nice of you to share that with me! 🤘🙏💪
