But I assume you would agree that not loving the “free” J-Cups they give you is not a deal breaker. Lots of other decently priced 2x2 J-Cup options are out there should you ever want to upgrade.
@@DesignBuildLift Oh hundred percent, just a criticism but you can def. get some great training on this thing and I know a lot of people who've done great things in their training with a whole lot less.
Depends upon how long your arms are, but generally speaking I think you would need about 4 feet to comfortably do those exercises in front of the rack. 🤘🙏💪
Over 80" cant fit in my basement so its a stop right there.. too many companies putting these darn pullies on top and its infuriating. Also, why only a half rack in front? Why not have a full power rack add-on option? It should be pretty easy and cheap to do.
While I am unaware of a FULL power rack with a smith machine and with an integrated functional trainer, I am sure they exist. I am also sure they are far more expensive than the M1. The smith would have to be mounted completely differently so that that it isn’t in the way of anything when you are setting your safety straps/bars when you want to use the power tack for benching, squatting etc INSIDE the rack.
I have not used the B52, but I heard that there are no safeties for the Smith Machine - which is a negative in my book. I tried looking at the pictures here - and in fact - cannot see any: bit.ly/MF-B52 .
Do you think you can use the pull up bar from the V1 with the V2? I’m looking at getting one for my basement but have 7 foot ceiling joists with 7’10” between my basement floor and upstairs floor. Really wanting to pull the trigger on one of these with the Black Friday sales going on!
Yes. I checked. The holes line up perfectly. 🤘🙏💪 i would purchase the 2.0 normally (Black Friday discount aoplied at checkout: bit.ly/RITFIT-DBL so that you lock in that sale price, and then email customer service for them to mail you a 1.0 pullup bar.
I would like to know if the trolly/ carriage for the pulley system has the same linear bearings as the smith machine. I've emailed RITFIT with this question only to receive a reply asking for an order number. No one doing reviews on this piece of equipment mentions this. Can you please specify?
Not a dumb question. The weight capacity is a 575 LBS TOTAL when using both J-Hooks in conjunction with one another. The same rule applies to the spotter arms. I just reached out to Ritfit, and they confirmed that this is true. 🤘🙏💪
I am a bit concerned about the 2:1 ratio. I don’t lift extreme weight but I do like to push heavy weight on some movements. Would this be an issue ever? I’m deciding between this or the BPC05 also from ritfit
I cannot give much advice on the BPC05 - I have never tried it. The M1 is half the cost, but adding plates on the trolley does require “plate math” and it takes time to load the plates. Further, if you want to go really heavy- it’s best to not use bumper plates. They take up a lot of room on the trolley’s weight horns (especially with a 2:1, where you need to double the weight). I always say - if you can afford to go with weight stacks (like the BPC05) instead of a plate loaded option (like the M1) - it’s definitely worth it. Setting your weight on a stack takes a second, but adding plates is obviously more time consuming. All that being said, in general, I love 2:1 options because it doubles the length of the cable travel. I hope this helps you! 🤘🙏💪
Our aluminum pulleys will be sold separately, and if we receive a lot of feedback on other accessories, we will also consider selling them separately.❤
Be aware that they send the items in different packages and the smith machine is sent 20-25 days from the order date. I regret to have order from them..
Just bought one because of the reviews
Nice choice!
Love to see companies making improvements!!! Those J-hooks are a bit rough. Def. work but wish I felt a bit more secure with them

Very thorough comparison! Looks like good improvements! Attachments look nice to use as well!
Thank you for your support, Mark! I appreciate it! 🤘🙏💪
Awesome that you had both to compare side by side. Version 1 goin on to marketplace now?
Yessir. One lucky individual will get a great deal!
How much space in front of the machine would you need to comfortably use the cables for something like cable crossovers or chest flys?

You could actually tie the smith bar at the highest point
Yes. A lashing strap or two would do the trick. 🤘🙏💪

Great review 👍🏻, almost sold on this smith machine, just can't decide whether I want this one or the major fitness B52 😓

Waiting to see if they updated/ upgraded what I recommended…..
Please share with the rest of the class…

No it doesn’t. However, both are very smooth. I hope this helps you make your decision.
May be a dumb question: Those J cups have 575lbs capacity - that’s a combined weight limit right? Not 575 per J cup equaling 1K+ total weight?

Can you safely put the 2.0 in a upstairs bedroom?
The Weight stack(with the upgrade) weighs 620 lBS....so depends. Probably yes. But please consult this article first: bit.ly/-BOS-UPSTAIRS-GYM

I recently bought the version 1.0 do you know if they will sell the aluminum pulleys, cable stoppers or pull up bar separate as upgrades?
Great question. @ritfit.sports can you help this customer out?

@@DesignBuildLift Of course!

That stinks. I got all the boxes within a span of 2 days I think.
It’s junk. Customer service is horrible. Just getting the right part sucks. Don’t buy
What issues did you have?
