Hi, I'm from Salzburg, so I thought I may add a few things: 1. All statues in Salzburg are covered during winter, because snow and cold winds easily damage the old stone 2. The "catacombs" are believed to be early christian "meeting places" and later on the hermitage of the St. Peter monastery. The name "catacombs" probably developed much later in the nineteenth century, hence you didn't find bones 😅 3. The "long forgotten fortress walls" are actually remans of the former city wall. We call this specific wall on the Kapuzinerberg "Bürgerwehr" (vigilante) 4. Actually no, sundays here are far from slow😂 In summer the whole Universitätsplatz (university square; 9:07) would actually be flooded by a queue of people by 10 AM, waiting to get frozen yoghurt at Fabi's (the icecream shop on the right) 5. Getreidegasse ( 10:01 ) does actually mean sth like "grain alley", because it would be the main street for transporting were (as eg grain), it wasnt really the main road however Yeah thats enough being a know-it-all for now. Sry if I'm too tiring already😬 Thx for the video. Living here, you sometimes dont realise the beauty of this city (for example casually walking past the cathedral and looking up to the fortress on the way to buy bread for breakfeast 😂) and videos like these really remind of this. Thanks. Hope to see ya soon back here in Salzburg :) (Also I apologise for any spelling mistakes or so, I try not to use Google for comments like these😬)

Bit late to the journey, but here would have been some great tips to maximise your 50 euro budget. 1) Bus 16 or 42 to city center, less than 3 euro each way 2) Entertainment or museums: check out the National Gallery which is free of charge, you can kill a couple of hours if you are into art. Theres also stephens green nearby to visit, trinity college (not the book of kells), so plenty of outdoor stuff! 3) Food for lunch: chicken fillet rolls! they are like less than a fiver depending where you go, mind you these days, prices have gone up as usual. 4) Coffee: you can get a barista made coffee for 2 euro at the heartbreak social club! Drury street is also quite fun to walk by 5) pints: there are certain spots in the city which have cheap pints, but need to know where to go! The auld triangle north inner city (totally reachable by walk) are like 4.50 (cash only) - if you take 2 that would have made up your bus journey, and you get to sip two amazing guinness for 9 euro. if you have the leap card (buy for 5 euro) why not go mad and go to the forty foot and go for a free swim (youd have to pay travel on the dart ) so that would be less than a fiver. You have to be into cold swimming though! Count about 15 euro for total travel if you go to the forty foot, 9 euro for two good guinness, thats 24 euro for the moment. leaving you 26 to maybe enjoy on a nice soup and a sandwich at a pub and a bit more money for whatever you fancy! If you take away the coffee and a roll that leaves you somewhere around 17-18 euros. I do recommend going in Like June or something when the weather is warmer!

I really want to go here. I’ve seen so many documentaries on it. The threat to Hitler’s life was so common, he was known to make all of his staff eat their meals an hour before him so that he could watch to make sure the food wasn’t poisoned. Have you ever been to the Channel Islands? There’s loads of abandoned German structures you can explore, such as gun batteries, underground hospitals and secret bunkers. Hi Ben, Thanks for this awesome video highlighting Wolf's Lair. The video was very fascinating and informative as always. It must have been a very chilling experience to walk through it's remains. They must have tour groups as I could see a group of people walking by you. The day or day's you filmed this, the weather looked perfect. Looks like you had abundant Sunshine. Even though many terrible things happened there it is good the the area is maintained and very clean of any debris. The large trees are very stately and stunning to see. It was an honor to be the first to view this video. I wish you the very best in growing your channel. It is obvious that many hours of work go into creating this production so hopefully you will be rewarded for all your hard work. Take care Ben until next time.
