Slovenia as a package is unbeatable. In an area the size of London, you can go from the Venitian architecture of the Adriatic coast to something that looks like Swizerland around Bled and Maribor, with the littite Vienna of Ljubljana in between.
Absolutely, certainly a place to explore more in the future for me. Would love to hire a car with some friends and properly explore the country, in a quieter season perhaps. Thanks for the comment :)
I was in Ljubljana a few weeks ago. Beautiful little city!!!! I said the Rosary in the pink church. I was buying some Rosary beads for some friends back home and the woman told me they were saying the Rosary that night at 6:30, so I came back then and had a very awesome experience. It was in Slovenian, but I did my best to follow.
Thank you, I really appreciate that Simon. I put a lot of effort into trying to get things 'right', so it's nice to hear when the videography, music and voiceovers are commended 😊
Ben once again sets the gold standard for travel video content creators. Thanks for sharing your experience. I loved Ljubljana when I visited there in 2019, but I also much enjoyed seeing it through your eyes. I'm looking forward to seeing the gems and Bled videos!
Thank you very much for the kind comment Stephen. That really means a lot, I do try my best :) Ljubljana is a gorgeous city, not many cities where I think 'hmm I think I could live here!'. See you Sunday :)
How can the city of Ljubljana 🇸🇮 not be beautiful, and it is the city where UEFA President Aleksandar Teševrin was born, but what is really surprising is why most of the city’s streets are empty of residents? Although it is near Germany, it witnesses modest tourist traffic. Is this mainly due to the city system or due to the lack of knowledge of foreign tourists about the country of Slovenia, perhaps? In any case, I hope it will increase the number of your channel subscribers and friends who visit the city. Good luck, bro. 👋
You can also access Slovenia by flying to Trieste or Trevisio Venice in Italy. Klagenfurt in Austria is also very close .So it's always worth checking other Airports in the UK for a connection Good Luck.
Hi Ben. A great upload. Made all the more special since I visited there two weekends ago. Safe travels. Thanks for all your expert, thoughtful and personal uploads on YT Cheers Zoltán
Ben what an awesome video!! I am actually writing this while I am in Ljubljana.! Just one more day here tomorrow and so much to see because of you mate! Your videography, narration and drone work are sensational. You captured the old town vibe here perfectly. I am a forever subscriber. Cheers!
Hi Ben, thanks for another awesome video of Ljubljana Slovenia. The waterways and all of the beautiful European Architecture are always a treat to see. As always, the Drone footage and music really added a lot of character to the video. I would have to pick the University Building as my favorite. The ornate Roof I thought really brought the building to life. The front Alter area of that Pink Church was truly beautiful. I liked the chandelier that had the light covers in the shape of flowers. One pretty consistent thing I notice from your videos in Europe, is the Square Stone Market squares and streets. I wonder how in the world they lay all of those so precisely? It really adds a lot of character to the area. Thanks for the short clip of next weeks video as well.
Thanks again as always Ben. It really is such a pleasant city, glad you appreciated the drone footage. I loved some of the shots I got. Funnily enough, when I got up closer to the university building, I picked that too. The symmetry up close from the fountain looked incredible. Ha good question, though I'm not so sure! Appreciate the support and feedback as always. See you next Sunday (or perhaps sooner as I have a little surprise video lined up) 😁
After having visited both Wroclaw, Gdansk and Poznan in Poland, Ljubljana looks a little "grey". Nice city of course, but for me it doesn't "pop" as much. How are the Slovenian people - and the food - compared to Poland? Hope your channel grows steady, Ben!
I suppose most cities may seem a little more subtle in colour in comparison to Polish Old Towns. Having said that, the city was still beautiful and green, especially in the sunshine. Plenty colour in the old town and especially on the riverside, but perhaps not as bold colours as seen in Poland :) If I'm honest, I ate out a few times but don't think I ate much local food if I remember rightly. Thank you for the comment 😊

Yeah mate little bit difficult to get to which is a bummer. I flew to Milan, then onto Verona. Then got a coach to Ljubljana. You can also get there from Zagreb quite easily, which of course is a far more accessible airport!
@@stephenhampson1577 I think it’s only like 3 hours from Zagreb as well, so really handy! And no worries mate haha, well worth a visit, and Lake Bled of course too!
Actually it is not an Emu. It is Nandu. Emu live in Australia, Nandu is from South America. His name is Nande and guy on the right in white shirt is his owner. He and his wife used to have two, but one got ill and they have to put him asleep. I live in Ljubljana and work in center by the river, so I see him often.
I know, it's a shame. A difficult place to get to really, I think Slovenia and Ljubljana will become far more popular with British tourists over the next few years
Most of Slovenians either dont like Melania or dont care about her. There was a wooden statue of her, not in Ljubljana but in her hometown of Sevnica which was then burned down(shows you how much we like her). And no Slovenia doesnt have the same flag as Russia
1. Most Slovenians don't care about Melania Trump one way or the other. 2. There's no statue of her in Ljubljana (there *is* one in her hometown of Sevnica, but most people see it more as a joke than anything) 3. Slovenia does *not* have the same flag as Russia. It's like saying that Croatia has the same flag as the Netherlands, or Austria has the same flag as Latvia, or that the Netherlands and Luxembourg have the same flag, or Tunisia and Turkey, Poland and Monaco, Senegal and Mali, Singapore and Indonesia, etc. Plenty of flags around the world share similarities, but that doesn’t make them identical.

Very nicely put together! This must be the best Ljubljana vlog I've ever seen, Well done Ben! Greetings from Ljubljana :)
Thanks - that's a great compliment!:)

That fountain at around 2:00 is a replica. The original is in the National gallery of Slovenia.
Yep! I didn’t see the original unfortunately 😊
On my list but no flights from the north. How did you get there as can't be direct flights from Newcastle.

The flight landing fees apparently at Ljublana Airport are excessive I believe That's why some of the airlines only fly from London.
@@kevindugdale5663 ahh interesting to hear! Makes sense, it’s a shame it’s only really accessible from London
University in Poland is free too.
I'm jealous! Perhaps England could learn a thing or too 😁
