TUMBLING down the POLE - step-by-step EXPLANATION - pole dance COMBINATION
Hey guys,
today let's have a look at a little pole combination, in which we are tumbling down the pole :-) You wanna have some solid leg hangs (and switches, if you wanna go for that part, too) for this one. I divided the combination into 3 separate parts, so you can practise them individually or pick and choose which one you like best and would like to work on :) You can do this on static or spin (even on the flying pole as you can see in the demo) - but I do recommend practising it on the static pole first (and also slowly), just to get a feel for the combination and figure out where your body goes when :)
Don't forget - pole dancing is a dangerous activity - so don't practise without t...

    • @airlerina3622
      @airlerina3622 Год назад

      Even if you are just engaging all the muscles in your arms for now (and you can even keep them engaged for 3 sec at first and sliwly increase the time) - that will still train those muscles and eventually youll have the strength :) i know its frustrating when you are trying real hard and nothing happens, but one day it will finally work - so keep going! Focus on form, be consistent (but give yourself rest days to recover - thats when the muscles grow) & be patient :) You can also try to just lift up one leg while having the other on the ground still - and eventually try to swap legs , so theres no leg on the ground diring the swap :) that way you are adding the ab strength into the exercise as well :)

    I can’t wait too try this floor exercise and try my fan kick again I can’t keep my legs straight 🥲🥲🥲

    • @airlerina3622
      @airlerina3622 2 года назад

      Good luck practising :) It takes time to get those legs straight, so be patient :) Most important thing: don't overtrain - give your body breaks to recover for quicker progress :) Feel free to just do the fan kicks with bent legs first when doing them on the pole to really focus on the technique (how to hold the pole and engage your arm muscles properly, how to fan kick those (bent) legs around properly). On the ground, you can play around with leaning back more/less to make it easier to perform the fan kick with the legs straight. Also, try to incorporate exercises that work out the muscles necessary for keeping the legs straight (e.g. straight leg lifts to the front/side/back like they do in ballett, or bringing your bent leg up first as high as you can and then trying to straighten it while trying to maintain it as high as you can - you can either do several repetitions or hold the straight leg in the highest position possible - see how many you can do with ease (write down the number) and do 1-2 extra reps each time - wiritng it down will help you monitor your progress and keep you motivated and also help you do increase the number when its necessary to make more progress - also taking photos every now and then to see how high you can hold it up is a good way to track your progress also (when it comes to increasing flexibility). You can also do leg raises on the floor, which will help you to focus more on that core- leg connection, so you can make sure you are really engaging your core when lifting your legs during the fan kick :). So, as you can see, there are heaps of ways to practise for pole without a pole to get your body ready for mastering the next pole trick - it always helps to write down what moves you want to nail and what muscles you need to work in order to increase your strength/flexibility to be able to nail that move fast :) Sorry for writing up such a novel here :D Happy training :)

    everything goes well until I actually start to spin (on either static or spin mode) the part of my leg that is hooked onto the pole feels like it gets stuck, friction, idk? it burns pretty bad and I start sliding downward. feels as if I don't let go, my skin will tear. am I doing something wrong? are polers just in pain while they do their tricks?

    • @airlerina3622
      @airlerina3622 2 года назад

      Firstly, from what you told me - let me tell you that you usually feel pain in the points of contact with the pole , especially if its a point of contact that you haven't used much before/lately. Over time, your skin gets used to the pain, if you keep practising (after a longer break however, you might notice that spots that didnt feel painful at all anymore, are suddenly a bit more sensitive again) - thats why you can hear people joke about doing "skin conditioning" as well - the more you perform a certain move, the more your skin gets used to the friction - but , every body is different - some might get used to it quicker/dont feel too much pain from the start; for others it takes longer. Dont overdo the "skin conditioning" though - sometimes , doing a move 2x or 3x might be more than enough to not traumatise yourself with the move (wanting to avoid it in the future). Secondly, i would also suggest working on shoulder/arm/hand strength :) when i perform this spin, i am holding most of my weight in my arms - the hooked leg is moreso on the pole to keep the nice shape & to keep us in place while performing this spin (so that e.g. we dont rotate away from the pole). So make sure you are strong enough to hold your weight in your arms & keep your shoulders engaged throughout the whole spin :) also, for the spinning version - you should try to squeeze the pole with your hands & leg as much as you can so they don't move at all - for the static version, you want to do the opposite & loosen that "squeeze" in order to allow for the spin (which will make you slide down- try to keep everything engage though, so that your whole body positioning stays the same while sliding down the pole). So you just want the leg to be on the pole lightly to keep us in place , but dont squeeze it hard , cause then you wont move or you create more friction, which leads to a slower spin & more pain. So if shoulder/arm/hand strength might be an issue - try to hold the front hook position first focusing on holding most of the weight in your arms - you can just do that for a while before working on performing the actual spin :) you can also throw in some shoulder strengthening exercises into your warm up/conditioning part of your work out session :) just make sure you give youre muscles enough time to recover :) - same counts for the spin itself- dont practise it too often - practise it once or twice per week in the beginning to give your body enough time to get used to it :) avoid overtraining - more is not always better :) I hope this helps you a bit - if you have any more questions, feel free to just ask :);

    When I try to get into the spin I go way too fast 😩

    • @airlerina3622
      @airlerina3622 2 года назад

      Try to not fall into it too heavily to avoid strting of with to much momentum - when you bring your body in, youll get even faster, so if you notice you are still thinking about what to do next , try to keep your body away from the pole while thinking about the next move - so e.g. keeping the bum down and away from the pole , think about the next move (re-grapping the pole with your bottom hand high) and then bring your bum closer to the pole and regrap at the same time /as soon as possible, to be able to lift your leg higher again (keeping the bum out to slow it down a bit again). I hope you understand what I mean with that. So basically - dont take too much momentum in the beginning. Go very gentle, because you will speed up once your body gets closer to the pole - use the "slower" moments during the climb, where your body is farther away from the pole to think about the next step - you can also play with the speed by bringing your bum up and closer to the pole and then lowering it down again just to practise the speed up/slow down a little (without climbing higher - just from that climbing position where you have both legs on the pole).
