sorry about the constant clicking noise in the video. I had a wrist strap on the camera and didn't think it was making this much noise until I played back the footage days later. I have since removed the wrist strap from my camera. ☺ I also had my zoom lens on which I also didn't realize was too zoomed until watching this back. I have also changed the lens so future videos will look better!

Hi there thank you for sharing your experience. I found your video really helpful. I applied to the NALCAP this year and just recently heard that I will be placed in Andalucía. However, I am a little bit nervous because I only have experience being a para not a teacher and assumed that the NALCAP was more of a program where you assist the teacher instead of actually teaching the whole class. Do you get the option of telling the teacher your comfortability level of teaching whole class or do you just get thrown in it?

I'm doing research on teaching English in Spain as well and it seems like there are a lot of people who take that route to Spain who don't necessarily have a passion for teaching. That's unfortunate because it's a disservice to the students and the community to hire people who don't have the heart for it. I watched another video where a young lady decided to quit the program because she didn't know that Spain has more than one season. She literally did absolutely no research before going. Please don't teach children if you don't love doing so. I'm glad you made the best decision for you though. We live and we learn.
